That's been such an iconic staple of Simpsons lore since practically its inception. Maybe the marketers thought that the theft rates would be too high. What they really need to do is have a permanent 24/7 fully-operating Kwik-E-Mart that sells all this glorious garbage. They could even reenact scenes from the show on occasion.
