BUT HOWWWAAA-LEEEEEEEEEEE FAAAAK!!!
HAVE YOU SEEN THE 2 MIN TEASER FOR ‘MARIO GALAXY’????!?!?!?!

Yes I have, you can see it on youtube here As I was telling a friend, the scope at the 35 second mark gave me that queezy feeling of a rollercoast or driving through a small hill too quickly. Gave it to me in a good way.

Dohop: haha i actually had the same sensation a few times, i think its the ‘anti-gravity’ aspect of the game, which in my opinion is an amazing feature, and i truly wont be complete until i own that beautiful bastid’ of a game!!!
how much do Wii’s go for in your neck o’ the woods anyway?? i would pay about 500( between 450-550 i believe), but ive never been more into a mario game since nes smb3 then supermarioworld. and of course the N64 version.

and i think it was you but im too lazy to check, said somethin about matt is building up to an amazing update, with the snteeeeees being up at the same hours and all..i totally agree, we all know he’s a busy man, SO ALL OF YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT HOW HE HASNT POSTED IN AWHILE, SHAAADDUP!! ;) we all know he’s really dedicated to this site, and would never leave the x-e family!!!
anyway, that post was already way too long as soon as i was done conversing with mr. Dohopki. so i myself shall “SHAADDUP” now!
later everyone, and matt, hope all is well with you and yours, i dunno why, but i always get kinda worried when you dont post, i know , im a fuckin’ weird kid! BUT!! ARENT WE ALL JUST
“WEIRD KIDS” IN OUR OWN RAD WAY?!
anyway, this is me quitting typin, riiiight…

JoshC: I think you are referring to K. He has the articulate ability to tell people, who obviously don’t read frequently, to have patients and be polite. If I had to say it I would tell people to stick their hear up there ass. But that’s why most of us leave it up to K and Jessica, and other old schoolers. Glad to see you again. Long time no read, bud.

Sorry, JoshC, no dice. But if you’ve got a Wii, you can dounload it from the Virtual Console marketplace fro 800 points.

I think it’s hilarious when people are like, “Man I wish Matt would update” and automatically everyone jumps on their ass like, “OMFG LEAVE MATT ALONE HE’S A VERY BUSY PERSON YOU SHOULD BE GLAD HE DOES ANYTHING EVER!” Not that I’m condemning or condoning either action, it just amuses me muchso. :)

AND THANK GOD FOR K

Thank you, Bill, thank you Josh. Tell Josh Ednoff that if you see him ;)

Mystie: I have never said “OMFG” in my life. But, feel free to dig through the archives to prove me wrong. I’ll give you a hint, you’ll have to look in the transcripts of me and The Colonel’s accompanying AIM discussions. For those who don’t already know, me and The Colonel have been real-life friends for 14 years :D

Ghosted by K- @ 03/13/2007 4:56 PM EST

Actually I made the comment about the SNTs falling into the same hour. Is that what we’re talking about? Who am I even referring this question to?

But I did already know that the Colonel and K- were real-life friends for 14 years, I saw the wiki about it.

Ghosted by dohopoki @ 03/13/2007 6:30 PM EST

We have a Wiki? That is so cool!

Yes, it was you who made that comment. But I collected all the compliments about me and quoted them for posterity.

that’s why you have the wiki.

AHHHH-HAAAAAAAAAA!!!
i new it, it was dohopki i was referring to!@!
but, if K. wants to go ahead and steal the accolades he’s more than welcome!
BUT!!!!

Well, I am at Orlando Florida with my girlfriend celebrating our 2 year anniversary. If a an alien was to take a quick look at International Dr. he would think either a celestial clown exploded over this area or God ate fruitloops and pooed this place. I’ve never seen such a dramatic use of neon green, orange, and pink.

Ghosted by Bill @ 03/13/2007 7:22 PM EST

Yeah, I’m not too sure I’ve ever said “OMFG” in my life either. Nope, definitely not.

Ghosted by dohopoki @ 03/13/2007 8:13 PM EST

Dohopoki:
to tell you the truth, i dont really know.
actually i dont think that ANYBODY KNOWS!!!
its from Calvin & Hobbes, a weird game with a soccer ball, flags to steal i think.
its a game that calvin made up in one of the first C&H books i received.

andif anyone knows if there actually is a game similar or that really is calvinball, i would love to know about it.

I’ve had tooth-loss dreams. And two flying dreams- those were awesome. Such serenity.

Bill: International Dr., huh? I remember it having the worst traffic. Have you been to Celebration? Creepy! It’s mandatory lights out there at, like, 11pm.

Special K: Congrats!

If we’re polling? As a general rule, I don’t particularly like when people police other posters for content, and we know that the really bad eggs get the hammer (thanks to Mystie’s handy work in the Wikipedia if we didn’t already :) ) so most times it just seems unnecessary. I’m reminded of the time I got razzed for using “AFAIK”, LOL.
(And then again, reading “OMGUPDATEPLZ” all the time does get really fricking old, so…yeah.)
I can’t believe y’all don’t know Calvinball…”Calvinball is played with whatever implements are available, often a volleyball (referred to as the “Calvinball”) and a croquet set, and the rules are invented as the game goes along. The only consistent rule is that the playing rules can never be the same for two games. Calvin and Hobbes wear masks similar to The Lone Ranger’s and Zorro’s while they play…In the Tenth Anniversary Book, Watterson states that the greatest number of questions he receives concern Calvinball and how to play it. He then answers the question once and for all: “People have asked how to play Calvinball. It’s pretty simple: you make up the rules as you go.”"

Calvinball is the greatest game in the world.

I just shelved a lot of Calvin + Hobbes today at work- I got to shelve in the humor section! Yay!

Bill- I am jealous- I want to be in Orlando. :(

There are SO MANY books I want to use my new employee discount on…so far, I have spent most of the first paycheck that I have yet to receive…today, I bought a North American road atlas for my upcoming road trip to Michigan! Whoot!

Just checked out Super Mario Galaxy for Wii…Jesus, it looks like N64 on an acid trip! Seriously.

If you listen to the music in the youtube clip of the game, I think it rips off the score to ‘E.T’ at one point, and the score to ‘Harry and the Hendersons’ at another point. Seriously.

mrjayberry

Some of us are so sad as to have all the original books AND the complete collection.

I’ve had the complete collection for over a year now, and I’m not halfway through it yet. !

Ghosted by Cameron T. @ 03/13/2007 11:15 PM EST

I freaking Love Calvin & Hobbes, I have all the major books, but not the complete collection…need funds and time to read it.

But I’ll throw in my Far Side collection, which I do have the Complete Collection for, as well as all 5 Galleries, the Prehistory, and the book with the last cartoons Larson drew that weren’t in the 5 galleries and before the ones included in the Complete Collection.

I also got another Fish Sandwich for my quest, this time the KFC Fish Snacker. Small, cheap, not the best in the world, but better than BK’s sandwich.

Hey, it’s all about Frosted Coated Sugar Bombs and not having to worry about my parents having any more kids. Calvin and Hobbes rocks, and Far Side still kicks ass over the many blatant rip off comics that try to mimic it

JLAJRC: I’ve tried some of the new gourmet Pringles. I’ve had the szechuan barbecue and the sun dried tomato. Both were good, but the szechuan ones were a little strong on the flavor. The sun dried tomato chips were much better.

I also have a bag each of the sweet potato and parmesan garlic ones in the cupboard, but who knows when I’ll get around to eating those.

But can I just say how much I do love me some guacamole Pringles? Mmm. :)

Is anyone else completely loving that there’s a TMNT movie ad in rotation on the big ad block on the main page? Cuz I am.

Ghosted by Mystie @ 03/14/2007 11:15 AM EST

Does anyone know what kind of continuity the TMNT film is going to take? What form of the turtles do I need to be familiar with? Is it the turtles that told Shreddar to commit Seppuku during their first meet or the turtles that went on a concert tour? Is it the turtles that went back in time or the turtles that went to the future? Is it an all new franchise of the turtles or is it selective () continuity?

I think this is what is bothering me and keeping me from wanting to get into this movie. The stupid selective continuity ruined Superman Returns from the get go for me.

Far Side still kicks ass over the many blatant rip off comics that try to mimic it

Hear hear! The first year they didn’t have a Far Side desk calendar, I tried to compensate by buying one of the ripoffs. It was almost depressing. It would have punchlines like, “If snakes had restaurants” and then there’d be a bunch of snakes slithering around dressed as waiters. That was the punchline. No irony, just this idea of non-humans doing human things. They really missed the point.

Ghosted by Lori @ 03/14/2007 12:52 PM EST

dohopoki, the TMNT movie will contine in the timeline set by the first 2 live action movies, (lets pretend the third doesnt exist). The movie acknoledges that shredder is dead, and all the events that went on in the previous movies. This movie is not a reboot, which means it will not just retell their origin. I have read the junior novilization, and dont expect any old villans to be back, there are just some weird stone warriors and a masked rider (no i dont think they are the dimension x stone guys).

Special K: belated congratulations on your engagement…and I hope your mom is doing ok.

Assorted topics: I’ve never had any toothy dreams, ever. But I have had the “can’t scream, slowmo punch” one, as well as the dreaded “I show up for the first day of school and realize that school started two weeks earlier, and I don’t know what classes I’m in and where the hell is my locker?” Probably the scariest one is where I’m driving and just end up driving off the edge of a cliff or a huge bridge….since I’ve never had a flying dream, that’s the closest I’ve gotten to the sensation of moving through the air – but since it’s accompanied by the knowledge that I’m plummeting to certain doom kinda takes the thrill out of it.

Irrational fear: I firmly believe that if you don’t make eye contact with birds, especially seagulls, they won’t poop on you.

My birthday is tomorrow. Suffice it to say that I am a ridiculous amount of years older than any of you, but that’s the beauty of X-E…Matt brings us together, regardless of age!

Trish – I’m not saying you’re not way old, but I’m older than most of the people here as well. Mentally, though, I’m probably about 8, so it balances out nicely.

Man, I’ve been reading this site since 2000! Cripes. See? I am old.

Oh yeah. And I finally picked up the awesome coffee table book, “Crystal Lake Memories”. It’s so good. Seriously, if you’re into Friday The 13th at all, this thing is a must have. It really reaffirmed how much I love that series. For as bad as they all were (to one degree or another), you can tell through the interviews that the people working on them really (for the most part) put a lot of thought and love into them and tried their best with the limited budgets they had. I know this is way off topic, but oh well.

K-: I wish the best for your dad. Pneumonia is a horrible fight. I hope he gets over it quickly.

For those who asked, my mom is doing MUCH better. They finally took her respirator out and stopped sedating her so heavily (she was trying to pull the respirator tube out herself so they had to sedate and restrain her… not fun to watch). But she’s able to talk now and move her hands and she’s in much better spirits.

Bill: Actually, the ring he gave me was his mother’s wedding band. I’m a no-frills kind of girl, so the sentimentality of it really pulled my heartstrings. Funny thing is, I’m highly allergic to yellow gold… but it’s been three weeks and no reaction yet! Yay!

And I have said “OMFG”… many times… phoenetically.

And I had to share… today in my Medical Terminology class, my professor was talking about the skeletal system and associated terms. He started off the lecture by saying “A few years back there was a show on TV… some of you may remember it… it was called Masters of the Universe… and there was a guy named Skeletor… he kinda looked like this guy…” and then he motioned to the demonstration skeleton standing in the corner.

Best. Lecture. Ever.
