Invader Norbert: I’m glad you like all the Flogging Molly!! It’s nice to know someone appreciates the pointless hours I spend making pointless playlists for my MySpace page. haha

Jessica Marie: On the subject of marriage being “so much fun,” I think I can handle it. :D And thanks for the well wishes for my mom.

K-: Cadbury Cream Egg Soda… *drools profusely* I would buy a year’s supply of that shit! And when I was little I was terrified of windows. I used to have this dream over and over again that the windows would light up and yell “Give us the girl!” in this crazy scary voice. To this day I can’t look outside after dark because I’m afraid there will be someone looking back at me.

Bill: I’m literally terrified of Kevin Bacon. It stems from a nightmare I had about him when I was little (after watching Footloose) where he was chasing me around trying to kill me with a butter knife. I feel like I’ve written about this on a previous SNT… oh well.

I’m always having the dream where I’m in a fight and I go to punch the other person (or my attacker, as is sometimes the case) and I put all my strength into the punch, but when I make contact with their face it’s like punching them with a feather. Or I try to scream and it comes out a whisper.

Anyway, that’s all for me. I’m going to bed. Hope everyone has a great week!

Special K-I’ll be sure to keep your mom in my thoughts…and congrats on the engagement! The happy stuff happening to other people always helps to bolster my hopes for myself.

I’ve been having two recurring dreams lately. One has to do with me shopping for hair dye and not being able to decide which color to dye it. Which, is easily explained, since I need to color my hair something awful. The other involves me as the heroine in an almost inexplainable sim dating-type game….with vampires…and more! I dunno about that one.

I went into the Build a Bear workshop once and asked them if I could build a bear that would be the ultimate killing machine. 1,000 lbs of pure Kodiak terror augmented by cybernetic enhancements.

They said no.

Ghosted by Wukong @ 03/12/2007 6:22 AM EST

Ah damn, you can build giraffes at the build a bear workshop? I know where I want to go for easter.

My phobia is bad weather. Thunderstorms used to give me panic attacks, and I was utterly terrified at the prospect of a tornado. It got so bad at one point that I was afraid of going outside even in fine weather, because I was afraid of getting caught in a storm. It didn’t help matters that I had two older siblings who thought my phobia was nothing short of hilarious.

god.. i hate mondays.

Mystie: It didn’t help me to know the name, because it just made me notice it more, but the meds help a lot. Requip for RLS, after a super fun sleep study they gave me a wonderful drug. I try and run as often as possible to keep the feeling down, but it doesn’t always help. If the jerky legs ever bother you maybe look into it.
I fear turning on the garbage disposal, no idea why. I just fear that switch shocking me.

Ghosted by RAS @ 03/12/2007 10:40 AM EST

Andrew I hear you. This may be the worst one of the year.
I have had the teeth falling out dream as well. This may have been mentioned, but it apparently can mean that you feel as though you are losing control of something. Aslo, I always have a dream where I am flying, but I don’t want anyone to know I am able to fly, cause I am the only one who can fly. Kinda like a Flight of the Navigator thing where I don’t want to be experimented on. I like the flying part o the dream though, it feels very real.

Ghosted by kb @ 03/12/2007 10:52 AM EST

I’ve had dreams where my teeth are falling out four times now…The last time I had it, I woke my fiance up and told him that maybe I should see a psychic or a shrink to have my dream analyzed…He told me he thought I should see a dentist…Heh.

I can’t believe so many of you have had the same dream…Makes me feel good, like I’m not as crazy as I thought.

Stupid me. My mind drifts off on the weekend and I always forget about the SNT. Oh well, better late than never.

Fears I don’t know if this counts as a fear, but I’m ultra sensitive about eyes, especially mine. I can’t touch them or even look at them too closely. Contacts are definitely out. I can’t even put in eye drops. Last week I scratched by eye somehow and it freaked me out.

Congrats to Special K on the engagement and I hope your mom gets better.

Bill I think I have a similar sleep spindle dream, but instead of falling on my face, I hear a gunshot in my head. It is quite terrifying for a second or two. This sometimes leads to Mystie’s similar problem of involuntarily jerky my legs.

Anybody ever been to Hawaii? I’m looking at a possible destination wedding there. Any advice for visiting the islands?

Ghosted by BUCKLY! @ 03/12/2007 11:54 AM EST

At least you guys can sleep. I’ve been attacked with insomnia the last couple nights. Been busy watching my Muppet Show DVDS.

Chocolate Soda sounds good. Has anyone tried the new Diet Pepsi Jazz Caramel Cream? It’s pretty good. I just want Jones Soda to embrace Easter like the do the other holidays.

Ghosted by JLAJRC @ 03/12/2007 12:20 PM EST

I have the teeth dream, but in mine I always notice that one of my teeth is loose, so I start playing with it and it pops right out, then I start popping them out one by one. Other recurring dreams of note:
Trying to speak but don’t make a sound
Being aware of my surroundings but unable to move (I’m not actually awake, because I’ll dream that people are in the room who actually aren’t – though I guess that could be the hallucinations.) I usually end up screaming at my husband to wake me up, but nothing comes out of my mouth (see #1)
Being in high school and realizing I’ve been “out sick” for so long that I don’t remember my classes or what the exam is about (it’s usually always exam day.) I don’t know why I still have so many dreams about high school. I graduated 10 years ago.

If you’re going to have a destination wedding, Hawaii sounds great. At least have it somewhere where people don’t mind going. I personally hate destination weddings, but that may have something to do with the fact that I’ve never been asked to go anywhere I had any interest in seeing. I get so angry when people (close people who fully expect me to attend) have no problem asking me to take some of my precious 10 days of paid vacation and fork over a small fortune on airfare and lodging just to see them get married (well, my husband’s paid vacation. That doesn’t really apply to me anymore.) That’s a bit of a sore point because no one we know who’s gotten married recently (or is going to get married soon) is getting married anywhere close. Of course, it’s usually family, who would be very hurt by the suggestion that it’s not worth the trouble to come to their special day. Plus, I think of all the people who genuinely want to see a wedding (like grandparents), and are forced to miss it because they can’t travel or can’t afford the trip. Of course, if you’re looking to have a small wedding without many guests anyway, it’s not that big of a deal where you have it. Where did Dog The Bounty Hunter get married? That place was beautiful.

Damn time change…I had to be at work for 7AM, which is really 6AM, and it was dark and awful. Boo. Plus, I only went to bed at 1:30, and only got 4 hours sleep! Sigh. Oh well- it will be nice at night to have more sunlight.

Special K- Congrats! Sorry about your mom.

I too wish Jones soda had Easter flavors- that would rock. :)

Ok, off to tutor.

Everybody has to fear something, but nobody fears Sara Lee?

Peeps (or at least marshmallow) Soda is an idea just aching to happen.

Once in the 80’s, I dream-replayed the entire Melting Grimace ad. And, with that peculiar Dream Logic, instead of watching it, I was one of the kids in it. (brrrr) That’s why I search for an actual clip of it now, one of those “look at it with the perspective of time to put it out of my misery” kinda things. And to prove it existed, too.

K-
My girlfriend has already stated that she would love the koala that they have there because she loves stuffed animals. It seems that I am going to have to either just go in, in full freak out mode, or create the first build a bear while drunk.

Man, still no new blog entries… :( I thought you would have jumped on the new Doritos Fight for the Flavors promotion with Wild White Nacho and Smokin’ Cheddar BBQ flavors… Or the monumental addition of a new type of Combos (zesty salsa tortilla) to the line-up. I can’t remember the last time they introduced new Combos to the world…

Ghosted by peter @ 03/12/2007 3:22 PM EST

Mustard Combos were the best and most obvious kind they ever had. Where are they now, huh?

Ghosted by K- @ 03/12/2007 3:32 PM EST

I just thought youze guyz would appreciate hearing about the new HORROR THEMED NETWORK, which I, along with many of you, I’m sure, have been whining about not having for years…Well, it exists now! I stumbled on it a week or so ago, on DirectTV channel 257.

Old episodes of Freddy’s Nightmares? Friday the 13th : The Series? Tales from the Crypt! NIGHT GALLERY?

And movies, plenty of them, too. It’s the best.

Get up on that, post-haste. It’s not being advertised very much, yet, so don’t be surprised if you hadn’t heard yet.

I was watching Cartoon Network for a bit today and discovered a grisly thing…

They’ve finally cut out the middleman and made The Land Before Time: The Series. About 17 years too late, if ya ask me.

I thought you would have jumped on the new Doritos Fight for the Flavors promotion with Wild White Nacho and Smokin’ Cheddar BBQ flavors…

Jeez…I’m so tired I read that as Flavor Flav. I’d like Flavor Flav to endorse something. Like some food is Flavor Flav flavor or some other play on words with his name.

Ghosted by Invader Norbert @ 03/12/2007 10:43 PM EST

Speaking of Flavor Flav, have you guys heard they’re doing yet ANOTHER spinoff of Flavor of Love? They’re sending 13 of the girls from season 1 and 2 to Charm School. Hosted by Mo’Nique. Oh yeah. I’m in reality TV trash heaven.

Ghosted by Mystie @ 03/12/2007 10:48 PM EST

Chuck D needs to kick Flav’s ass. Period.

I’d watch that.

K-: *applause* Thanks for saying it so I didn’t have to.

Thanks again to everyone who had well wishes for my mom. You don’t know how much it means to my family and me.

BUCKLY!: my fiance and I were talking about a destination wedding in Ireland (we’re both very Irish), but our families would kill us if they couldn’t attend. He still entered us into a contest put on by Guinness to win a trip to Ireland, but if we win it’s going to be our honeymoon. If we don’t win… well, it looks like our families are going to be out some serious cash. :D

Ghosted by Special K @ 03/13/2007 1:13 AM EST

Heh Lori I thought of Dog too, that was a beautiful wedding. Google says it was the Hilton Waikoloa Village, http://www.hiltonwaikoloavillage.com, so that’s my rec.
Whoa, how did I not realize Andy Richter and Tony Hale were getting their own sitcom this week? Jeff Goldblum and his rascally eyebrows getting all the hype.

I keep forgetting to well-wish your mom, Broomstick. I feel like a dolt.

I should be sleeping before I have to drive to class, but nah, I’d rather be here :D

They’ve finally cut out the middleman and made The Land Before Time: The Series. About 17 years too late, if ya ask me.
No shit, if you cut each movie up into 22 minute episodes you would have enough to make the first 3 seasons.

As for the lack of articles, I can tell some good stuff is coming because Matt has been right on time with the SNTs 3 weeks in a row. Even each within the same hour. The site is clearly in focus in Matt’s mind.

Ghosted by dohopoki @ 03/13/2007 9:37 AM EST

Mustard Combos…that makes so much sense, but how did I never know about or try those? That fact kinda saddens me…especially if they were honey mustard pretzel.

A Land Before Time Series? I love the original, but frankly I’ve found the bits of all the other installments I’ve seen a little too high on the cheese factor. I can’t believe they’re still goin’ strong after almost two decades.

Flavor Flav…I’ll never understand why they continue to give him and the tragic women around him more time in the spotlight. Tragic.

Ghosted by peter @ 03/13/2007 9:46 AM EST

So I picked up Black & White 2 in that $20 EA strategy pack. Huzzah for discount software. It’s a good game, it’s just hard to justify getting only four hours of sleep because you were trying to train a ten-story monkey to throw his poo at Japanese people. To say nothing of the perils inherent in the phrase “slapping my monkey around.”

Ghosted by Jedoc @ 03/13/2007 10:07 AM EST

Special K: How’s your mom doing? We wish her the best here. And congrats on the engagement. Nice rock?

Have they made the Land Before Time movie that shows the asteroid colliding with Earth? I think that should end the sequels. Oh to see Peetree erupt into flames. :D

HAVE YOU SEEN THE 2 MIN TEASER FOR ‘MARIO GALAXY’????!?!?!?!
if you own a wii i totally suggest you check it out!! that means you too matt, but you’ve most likely heard of it all ready!

I never liked Combos. It’s a good idea in theory, but in the end they always tasted like crackers filled with paste. If I want a filled pretzel, I’ll just get a soft one.

Speaking of mustard, has anyone tried those new Honey Mustard Pringles? Or any of their new “gourmet” variety?
