Well, since I too live in sunny Florida, I vote for october as well. I also work at Party City, and in about 5 more months we will be putting up Halloween stuff. Man, I love October, a time for candy and beer. What could be more better.
NES games:
1. Milon’s Secret Castle
2. Tecmo Bowl
3. Operation Wolf
Although I was one of the first people to get the Turbo Grafx-16 CD craze going. In 1989 I was in 7th grade and my older sister was dating a rich boyfriend who was shipping off to the military. He basically gave me his Turbo Grafx-16 CD system with 15 games for $50 bucks. That was the first CD game system (that I know of) with Y’s Book I & II, Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, J.B. Harold Murder Club to name a few. Bonk’s Adventure, Takin’ It to the Hoop Bball, TV Sports Football, Legendary Axe, Splatterhouse, Military Madness (One of the best strategy games ever), R-Type, Dungeon Explorer, Power Golf (I still love it better than Tiger), World Class Baseball, and titles that I can’t remember (I was 13 then and Im 30 now, imagine how many drugs and wild escapades I’ve experienced during that time.)
Help me out people, let everyone know how many of you started your morning out with Fruit Islands cereal and Mrs. Pac-Man cereal! (Ayummayumma! You can say it too. She’s got a shocking pink bow…OHHH!)

I’ve wondered about the smilies. Gosh, what a strange word. Smilies. SMILIES.
It snowed here, and I firmly believe it did so because I said I was ready for summer. (Don’t tell it, but I’m quite happy it’s here.)
The “Tell Me a Story” thread (not really a survey, but had geat results)
Metroid
True Stories
Keeping the rubber side down and the shiny side up
The Summer of ‘75
Seeing Star Wars in the theater the first time
Singing along to “(Keep Feeling) Fascination” for no reason

It snowed here too. Last night AND the night before. Ick.
Sometimes, if I’m reading fast, I read smilies as similes. That reminds me of metaphors, and of 10th grade when I gave a lesson to my HONORS English class on the easiest way to tell the difference between the two using a single line from a song. Yeah.

October means Halloween, spring means no snow…That’s a tuffy…
One of these SNT’s I’ll actually comment on a Saturday…

I wish it was summer so I could send you more crappy suggestions for the Halloween Countdown.

If I graduate on time, I wish it was already this coming summer. If I’m not graduating on time… yeah. I wish for 2004. Or 2003, but 2004 was excellent.

Thanks to Squee and Manimal- you two rock. Been so darn busy. Trying to work out again, doing school, blearrgh. Life sucks, never get on XE more than once a week now. Yarrrr. This blows. Baby’s cool though. Hey, ARTICLE!! OK I’m out.

Speaking of Hello Kitty, I came across a pair of toddler-sized Hello Kitty underpants on a sidewalk today. I felt kind of sad for the toddler who hasn’t got underpants.
Glad the others could help you out, K-. Even if you did have to give up some goods.
Ok, who’s watching 24 tonight?
Ghosted by Ryane @ 02/26/2007 9:14 PM EST
I’m watching. i’m not really liking much, but I’m watching.

Congrats Terror CC. Happy bday IHAQ and Cameron. Sorry, busy week.

Well let’s be honest, of all the things offered and relinquished, the most important is still in my possession.
……it’s the PS2 if you anyone somehow didn’t see that coming.

I never watched a single episode of 24 until this season’s premier. I was immediately in love with the show (and yes, Jack too ) when Jack bit into that guys neck when they had him strapped into the chair and Fayed was torturing him.
Since then, I’ve burned through seasons 1 & 2 and am now on the 4th disc of season 3. But yeah, there is something lacking, and I think it’s Jack’s face time. They have like, way too much stuff going on… or maybe it’s just better watching 6-8 episodes in a row instead of 1 a week.

WINTER!
Ghosted by Justin @ 02/27/2007 12:28 AM EST
For all those that picked 24: tonight’s Heroes was the best ever.
Note: this doesn’t mean I didn’t watch 24 first and DVR’d Heroes for afterward. Nothing comes between my tummy and the honey-sweet taste of 24. It’s part of a complete breakfast.
I’d rather watch a simul-cast of the Mr. T. cartoon show and Fox News Sean Hannity’s America than waste my time watching 24. (Note: saying “Sean Hannity’s America” is like saying “Hitler’s Europe”.)

Never got into 24, but Heroes rocks my world….So awesome!

Thanks for the birthday wishes! I had a lot of fun, the highlight of my bday was coming back into Canada when the boarder patrol wanted to look in our trunk to see what was bought at Target. She didn’t believe that it was stuff for my bday b/c they were childrens toys. Who says a 25 year old doesn’t want a 711 Slurpee maker or Red from Fraggle Rock doll for her birthday, sheesh.
Happy B-day, IHAQ and Cameron T!! IHAQ- Really? Did you cross the border in Houlton? They don’t usually bother to check the trunk or anything.
Indie Films: My Life Without Me, Snow Cake, Driving Lessons
NES games: TETRIS, River City Ransom, Super Mario 2 + 3
I WISH FOR SUMMER- enough of this cold already!!

Muppet Baby We crossed at Fort Erie, you know we go over all the time and this is the first time we have ever been hassled on the way back, on the in is another story. We had a girl, and I find sometimes they can be harder on you b/c they feel that being a girl we wont take them seriously so they make up for this by giving you trouble. Oh well, it’s just the luck of the draw.
I saw some one who got the pick of destiny from walmart and it came with a free CD that’s apparently different material than the soundtrack cd.

Anybody got the skinny on how I can get my hands on the Mr. T. cartoon series Season 1 on DVD? I am already on the prowl for a box of Mr. T. cereal, and I have got the world to groove to the rave of the Mr. T. cartoon intro on YouTube (just google “Mr. T. cartoon intro”). You can marvel with the rest of the world as Mr. T. swings an alligator by the tail and help tutor young aspiring gymnasts.

The Mr. T series has not yet been released on DVD, except in the bootleg market…
Man, I really REALLY want to get the Captain N box set, but I have no money.
Damn bills…always getting in the way of what I want.

I will investigate these Walmart shenanigans and report back.

Cameron: Captain N!! I loved that show… What was the name of the one with the “Heart” ring…I always sorta felt like he got shafted since everyone elses rings were so cool…

Hey Matt! I might be coming out your way soon. I made this video for my fiance’s mom for a Martha Stewart/GE Dream Kitchen contest, and she won. Not only is she getting a $100,000 kitchen, but in a few weeks she gets to cook with Martha on the show. We might be going to New York to watch it. Anything cool we have to do while we’re there? All I’ve got planned so far is to go have Gray’s Papaya again. I love New York!
Man, we need to get this site archived correctly. It’s a pain to find anything unless you already know what you’re wanting to look up…

Mary Mary: I believe you are thinking of Captain Planet. He was summoned by 5 kids with rings and is probably Al Gore’s favorite Superhero

OOooh! Captain N and Filmation’s Ghost Busters? Makes me want to start my own pirate TV sation that nly broadcasts on Saturday mornings, with only Saturday morning TV shows. Starting at 6:00 with Bugs Bunny and Popeye cartoons, All favorites will be in heavy rotation, and the last show to close the day will, of course, be reruns of American Bandstand and Soul Train. Also, vintage commercials from the era, and Schoolhouse Rock, Time for Timer, In The News, Snippets (I’m really dating myself on that one), and the like sprinkled thoughout the broadcast. Just me, pretending I’m 8 years old back in the 70’s watching Superfriends and Fat Albert.
By the way, my TV Guide Guide to TV, it lists programming grids from 1953 all the way to 2002. So I can tell what was on around the time you were born. Good reference book if you can get it.

Reading throught this thread may be the most confusing thing ever.
I would like to get the Captain N set but from my understanding the source of the show wasn’t in great condition and shout! per usual did nearly nothing to clean it up. In other words, I heard it’s hard to watch and listen to and not for the right reasons. The Mario sets were done better and they still walked the line of being a mockery to the DVD format.

IHAQ Yep thats me. On the official MS webiste, there’s some video from when they surprised us at home too, it was pretty cool! Joey Kola is like the coolest guy ever.
So Matt, are you going to have anything to do with Nickelodeon taking over the amusement park in the Mall of America? Might be just me but this seems right up your alley. Well that and the Lego land store next to it.

Hey, did anyone else notice there’s no mention of SNT in the X-E wiki? I had to add a whole new section about the blog! (that bored)
Tommy –
Great video, but GREATER wallpaper. I seriously love it, if any of it is at all salvageable…
Let us know when she’s on, I watch Martha occasionally in the mornings, being the type of person who is inclined to hot-glue matchboxes together and whatnot. I’d love to see that episode.
