haha who doesn’t love bimbos?! i never got to see the original attack of the show hosts, i only saw my first episode of the show a couple of months ago
i guess i’m the only one who can’t stand adam sessler, he just reminds me of one of those dorks in gamestop who tries to chat you up about final fantasy or some shit when you’re just coming in to by a controller and get the hell out of there, he and that black dude really dork up that channel – sorry!

TV themes I don’t think have been mentioned yet:
Lambchops ending theme
The Elephant Show
Mario Bros. Super show
Earthworm Jim
Ernest Scared Stupid
Princess Bride ending theme
Robin Hood opening (Disney)
Peewee is burnt so deep into my brain could recognize it in the first few notes even if it were played reverse in slow motion underwater.

Hey, I’m one of those dorks. Ladies love the Final Fantasy. Especially VIII.
That’s not true at all. I’m so lonely *sob*
Chestnuts roasted by K- has made plenty of FRIENDS over Final Fantasy @ 01/14/2007 3:49 AM
Re: Interjecting 80′s references into situations where people just stare at you, how’s about this one:
I’m at work and someone says something to someone else to the effect of “You’ve got the magic touch”, to which I just blurt out, singing, “You got the touuuuuccccccccccch!!!! You got the powahhhhhhhhhhh! YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!” to a bunch of completey blank stares.
My only reply was to sheepishly say “Guess there aren’t a lot of Stan Bush fans in the house.” before walking off.

“he and that black dude really dork up that channel”
It’s a channel with no identity. It’s like if you took Spike TV, forced it to mate with MTV, and then had the resulting child raised by the decaying remains of what was once a Tech/Gaming channel.
And they wonder why they’re the lowest rated channel on American cable.
Chestnuts roasted by Anonymous @ 01/14/2007 3:54 AM
^^^^I have soooo been there as well my friend
Chestnuts roasted by Shuanfu @ 01/14/2007 3:55 AM
…talking about singing the TF songs in public and getting the “Huh?” look from the room
Chestnuts roasted by Shuanfu @ 01/14/2007 3:56 AM
i actually liked final fantasy 9, never finished it tho, i think i made it all the way to like the third disc and then got caught in some stupid cave where i had saved and didn’t have enough energy to go anywhere or somethin
..haha i hope they don’t wonder too hard why they’re the lowest rated, although tv in general seems pretty dismal these days
and those brackets never showed up! they’re the ones to the right of the m key, over there —>!

Yeah, if only it was 24-7 X-Play. I mean I’d love to see a reality show about Adam’s life. That would be sweet. Well maybe not, how fun is it to watch people PLAY video games w/o playing yourself. Though when he busts loose and hangs out with Seanbaby, oh it is ON!!!
And for the record, who would want to just buy a controller and leave a gamestop? Do you know how long it takes to thoroughly peruse the used bins/cases? I have 7 different locations that I frequent on a regular basis. That takes time my friend. It’s like hanging out at a record store or a bookstore or fill in your favorite type of store
Chestnuts roasted by K- @ 01/14/2007 3:59 AM
LOL, K- I think my sister and I actually looked it up once.
I forgot about The Jeffersons! I also dig the Boy Meets World one with lyrics (good to know I have friends who will always…stand by meeeee…when this boy meets world). Freakazoid and Animaniacs had cool songs too. Oh, and both versions of The Office. And Chappelle’s and The Man Show.
How about bad ones? Six Feet Under’s is so long and dull, I always skip it.

Thanks Cheeky, I’ve got it now!
Chestnuts roasted by Shuanfu @ 01/14/2007 4:07 AM
that woulda been me back in the nintendo days, but now there’s only about 1 game every 6 months that interests me, and i normally just cop it at best buy or ebay
but some dudes literally seem to go there like it’s a bar or somethin, not even there to buy anything just standin at the counter talkin about some game that won’t be out for another 2 years.. & not even the employees, just random dudes chillin at gamestop
Chestnuts roasted by cheeky @ 01/14/2007 4:08 AM
Guilty, Cheeky guilty.
We usually bemoan the fact that the Wiis they have on display don’t even have a set of controllers available to play with and talk about how long it’ll be before XIII. Even though we’re all still working on XII and III.
It’s like a bar, but instead of “the usual?” they’ll ask us “want to reserve ________? and the guide too?” I feel like I belong

I have a good friend that works at GameStop and the only thing he hates are two types of people: 1. the trollers who come in and just trash the store and/or get angry when they don’t have a game or won’t have a game for months-it’s called the internet, use it…just because you heard there was gonna be a Halo 3 doesn’t mean it’s out yet- and 2. the super dorks that want everyone to think they know everything and will argue with or even correct him at work when he’s talking to actual customers. Overall, the people that mill around the store on a usual basis and have casual chit-chat about games and such are actually the reason why he likes the job so much…
I dunno, for some reason sometimes I find myself humming the theme to the “Snorks”. And I fucking hated the Snorks.
Other stuff:
“We Are The Champions”, but that one seems to always be socially acceptaple. People start giving me looks when I break into “Who Wants To Love Forever”.
Duran Duran. Anything Duran Duran.
The Saxophone part to “Careless Whisper” By Wham!
Darkwing Duck…’cause when there’s trouble, you call D.W.
The two “Powerline” songs from A Goofy Movie. Because they suck so awesome.
Theme To Pokemon Season 1
Kappa Mikey Theme (okay, okay. I don’t particularly even like Kappa Mikey. And I’m wayy too old for it. But here me out: Awesomely catchy song. Okay? Okay.)
I’ve seen that a few times before….best part is when he falls through the roof
Chestnuts roasted by Shuanfu @ 01/14/2007 4:19 AM
I’m kinda partial to him falling off the ladder. That was great. Missing the camera by a mile is just insult to injury.
Chestnuts roasted by K- @ 01/14/2007 4:23 AM
haha yea, and then trying to pry the door open!
careless whisper is a guilty pleasure of mine, flawless song
Chestnuts roasted by cheeky @ 01/14/2007 4:49 AM
I always like the SNT around this time; it falls to the small group of people who see sleep as an option not a requirement….
Chestnuts roasted by Shuanfu @ 01/14/2007 4:57 AM
I’ve long held bizaree sleep patterns, but I’m really supposed to be packing my stuff to move into my new apartment.
However, procrastination seemed like such a better option. And X-E has yet again afforded me much procrastination worthy material.
Chestnuts roasted by Wukong @ 01/14/2007 5:01 AM
Ok, I realize that a lot of these have allready been mentioned, but here’s my pick for some of the best tv theme songs ever.
The Greatest American Hero – Beleive it or not, George isn’t at home….
The Smurfs – Oh come on. Who HASN’T gotten this thing stuck in their head at least once in their lives? Even Hitler would’ve like the Smurfs!
Tailspin – “o-e-yay! Tailspin! o-e-o! Tailspin!”
The Twilight Zone – Don’t even argue the validity of this being included. I don’t want to hear it.
The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air – “Now this is a story all about how my life got flipped, turned upside down…”
The Andy Griffith Show – “…also starring Don Knotts”
I Dream of Jeanie (Genie?) – Awesome song, but even better with a dance by Ferris Beuller
Ducktales – “Ducktales! A-whoo-hoo!”
Batman the animated series – So dramatic. It ruled.
Step by Step – I dunno if it was ever on TGIF, but that’s what this show reminds me of. That…
Dinosaurs – …and this. Not the mama!
Simpsons – Great song.
Gummi Bears – “bouncin here and there and everywhere…”
The Weird Al Show theme – “with a spatula tattooed on her arm…”
I’m sure there’s more, but I’m tired. I’m goin to bed. Night.
Like I said only woke up as this started. I need to get back on a regular schedule cause classes start this week–thankfully I don’t have any classes on Monday
So, I’m gonna stay up, and you guessed it, go to GameStop. No seriously, I’m gonna get one of those ArmorLites you suggested Shaunfu.
Chestnuts roasted by K- @ 01/14/2007 5:06 AM
I never see ‘em at GameStop….I got it at Circuit City. Everyone who see’s it thinks that my DS is made that way…it’s awesome. Sure, it’s got little scratches on it here and there, but I’d rather those be on the clear plastic case that cost under $10 bucks than on my DS; and no fingerprints is nice….and it doesn’t make the DS feel ‘slick’ any more….you know?
I keep telling myself to get back on a regular schedule but I’ve really got no where important to be or a schedule to keep until 8am Tuesday, so what the hell…
I also hate moving; as much as I want a newer hosue to live in, I dread the idea of ever having to move all my junk again. I learned my lesson last time: if I can afford it I’m hiring movers!
