Regarding endings, I have to say I personally like what has become of endings. Kid Nicky has complained about RPGs becoming too FMV driven, but think about it, how would the stuff in them be delivered otherwise?

A static screen, a text box, and you pushing Circle or A 500 times to refresh it.

Would you rather have that, or a FMV made with quality voice actors? Haha, yeah sometimes VA isn't always up to snuff but you get the point. Same thing with endings, the end movies of FFVIII onward are just fantastically moving. And Xenosaga is cinematic beyond belief thanks to being FMV driven.

I guess I'm saying some things are getting better and every generation of games will have their great moments that will never die and people will want to re-live again and again, but also the the reality of the technological limitations of the time. Remember, today's breakthroughs are tomorrow's limitations.

LJ pics
It's self-explanatory when you get there. Refresh to see more.

You can play games from most of the consoles of the 90's.

I own a 7800, a load of 2600 carts, and a Flashback 2.0. My nephews love Combat. No over-complicated control scheme, just shoot the hell out of the other tank.

Okay, hopefully my URL will work this time since I copies the URL from my profile page and not my working page.

Iraq is boring! We really have no purpose for being here. I won't get into all the Army talk of what our mission is and all that because I never want to talk to that stuff. I take it as my job and work as pretty everyone else does with their job. Although we're supposed to coming back home in August, there is talk about us possibly packing up and returning home starting the next month. That's the main reason I'm not getting a Wii in the event we do return home early. Of course, I don't think the Internet connection we have out here can support the Internet logging.

Anyway, all I can say about the emulators is that they all seemed to have the same game. I mean, I have all 700 some NES games as well as SNES and Atari 2600. I tried Punch Out from thre different sites, both the Mike Tyson and the later version, and they both had scrambled lettering. The same thing happened on every site that I tried downloading Coleco games, and I was really upset when I couldn't get some of my favorites that played constantly growing up. Oh well, at least I have other distractions that can keep me away from my disappointments. Endless DVDs that I haven't watched as well as both unread books and books I haven't finished reading. It's already been a fast year being how we're our fifth month in our deployment already, just a little more than half a year left.

Is the Livejournal feed acting funky? It just linked me to the first cereal prize project.

I'm not complaining, I got to see that Andre the Giant Honeycomb commercial. (I love Andre the Giant. Just last night I was saying that he should never have died. Ever.) But LJ feeds have been acting up for everyone lately and I thought I should tattle on them before it was too late.

bj u may want to check some different emulators, i've played pretty much perfect nes emulation on the computer before, and my psp emulates punch out as well as pretty much every other nes game i've tried perfectly (not to mention snes, genesis, turbo grafx , gameboy and mame). i'm sure gamespot or ign would have a list of the virtual console games currently offered

has anybody tried duck hunt & hogan's alley with the wiimote yet? i guess that'd still b pretty dope
