Crazy week. My sister won a seat on the township committee in November so swearing in was on New Years Day, which meant I couldn't get all nasty-faced drunk in NYE (which I usually do) as I promised her I wouldn't be hung-over and green in the family photos that came to follow. It turned out well. I got screwed up and flagged at the after-party which made up for it all. And I had yesterday off thanks to Gerry Ford. A good time all around! Happy New Years, all! Crazy week. The Science of Sleep and Borat were the best films I saw this year; the Hold Steady, Tool and Yo La Tengo made my favorite records of the year and the Ohio State-Michigan football game more than lived up to the hype. 2006 was not too big of a year entertainment wise, but at least it had lots of good stuff.
