Advent Calendars & Elmos & Stuffs.

The Advent Calendar has been updated for December 5th. I'd also like to note that I bought two TMX Elmo dolls online today, not because I had anyone in particular to give them to, but because I couldn't believe they were in stock. Now what?

MULTIMEDIA?! I love Christmas.

Gah…! new thread…!

My parents officially believe I am involved in a cult… a cult that requires me to go to eight different stores searching for such treasures as Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash, Christmas Crunch and Playmobil Advent Calendars. I said something about Mare yesterday and she actually asked me, “What does your cult have against Mare Winningham?!”

Chestnuts roasted by Special K @ 12/05/2006 1:31 AM

I can’t remember who said it in a previous thread, but knowing that Sierra Mist Cranberry Splash is already out of production and just waiting to be sold out has me buying bottles wherever I see them. Fortunately, they’re very good.

I think the proper thing to do with TMX Elmo dolls is to either donate them to charity or sell them on eBay to desperate parents. Or keep them and confuse cats with them.

Chestnuts roasted by Mike P @ 12/05/2006 1:35 AM

Mike, there’s a huge difference between donating them to charity and selling ‘em for big cash prizes on eBay. I feel like I’m choosing between the utmost personifications of good and evil. And it feels so good.

I believe the only logical thing to do would be to find a way to rewire the things to fight eachother.

…at least thats what I would do…

Chestnuts roasted by Phil @ 12/05/2006 1:43 AM

I was going to suggest reselling for ridiculous prices, but Phil’s idea is much, much better.

Also, where does one find itty bitty Colt 45s? Or are those homemade?

Chestnuts roasted by Mara @ 12/05/2006 1:47 AM

My mother got a TMX Elmo on ebay before it was officially released, figuring she’d make big cash on it reselling it…but then she decided she would have a heart and give it to my young cousin.

I can only imagine the drool-sopped, haggard condition it’s in by now, compared to the money my mother could’ve spent on me. Boo. :(

On the tpic of the tainted Taco Bells on LI…I did my best Nelson “Haw Haw!” when I found out that one of the infected was the one right by my college!! Good for me since:

1) I don’t eat Taco Bell, and won’t eat there anytime soon.

2) almost everyone else does, and now they’re forced to go to *gasps* other places!

TMX Elmo…I’d side with the eBay crowd. Or take it in front of a crowd of people who want it, then go Office Space on it. I really hate Elmo, can’t you tell?

And when’s the new Jukebox coming?!

Matt, where did you get the tiny Colt 45, little magazine and Knacks’ PC (from Dec 1) and laptop computer?

Chestnuts roasted by JEM @ 12/05/2006 2:21 AM

JEM, you forgot the itty bitty box of Cheer. :)

Chestnuts roasted by Special K @ 12/05/2006 2:39 AM

Those Elmos dressed as elves are the creepiest effing things ever.

Chestnuts roasted by brian @ 12/05/2006 2:42 AM

At first I was going to say “eBay” like everyone else, but no, I concur with Phil. Phil is right.

Chestnuts roasted by Mars @ 12/05/2006 2:46 AM

i also like Mike’s idea to use them to confuse cats. confusing cats can kill a lot of time.

Chestnuts roasted by brian @ 12/05/2006 2:56 AM

you did good matt, this site is already selling them @ $150 a pop!

Am I the only to remember the mini’s series of snack-goods a few years ago? Reading the advent, yeah, at first I was surprised by the ding dongs, but yeah dude, a few years back, Hostess went all out. Matt just knows when golden is golden.

I’m double posting, but just because I’ve been waiting to bring this up for awhile, but the time was never right, and I’m just drunk enough to blow it on my own:

So, after watching my girlfriend free-for-all-Christmas-shop for me the first time we hit Target together in four months, I had to reorganize a “list” for the rest of my family.

It was the Eerie, Indiana series on DVD. It didn’t last long on television, but it came on on Sundays (maybe Saturday, doubt it) nights, back in 1991. And oddly, watching the few episodes youtube.com provides, not even two minutes into it, I remember every episode. I will have it.

And after just one episode, the mother in Eerie, Indiana, it took me awhile to realize where else she’s been.

Miss Lippy from Billy Madison.

So sell one, donate the other. Should even out the old karma, and you can still turn a profit.

Can’t play no videur games on a Ticklin’ Me Elmo.

Chestnuts roasted by M.Fireball @ 12/05/2006 4:23 AM

Do kids today even care about tickling Elmo?

Chestnuts roasted by Tommy @ 12/05/2006 5:21 AM

That Antipasto looked delicious!

Chestnuts roasted by Gralf @ 12/05/2006 5:25 AM

Sell both, donate part of the money to one of the charities that buys toys for kids. That way the kids will get more, better toys, and you get a cut.

Chestnuts roasted by Jeff @ 12/05/2006 5:46 AM

Anybody else’s family say antpasto “antipaaaaste”? Or maybe just without the “o”…and without the long A? Just curious.

Chestnuts roasted by MissJess @ 12/05/2006 7:08 AM

MissJess, if anyone in my family (or anyone I know for that matter) were to say ‘antipasto’ in any form, I may faint.
