The Advent Calendar has been updated for December 5th. I’d also like to note that I bought two TMX Elmo dolls online today, not because I had anyone in particular to give them to, but because I couldn’t believe they were in stock. Now what?

(Shrugs) Matt, don’t you have very young nephews and nieces, or friends with very young nephews and nieces? Give them as presents, give them to friends to give them as presents, or donate them, or donate one and, if you must, sell the other. There’s tons of silly stuff on eBay as it is.

Here’s hoping Kuse can figure out how to get along with Mare’s mare, because it doesn’t look like the storm’s staying calm for long. At least Knacks is in a better mood…

EtHM, Saint Nick’s Day was the only good part of German class in high school. Our teacher told us that if we left our shoes outside our door on December 5, we’d wake up with a present from Saint Nikolaus. If we were bad, St. Nick’s helper, Knecht Ruprecht would leave a stick for our parents to beat us with. If we were really bad, he’d forgo the middle man and just kidnap us himself so that he could beat us. I don’t understand why the night of December 5 isn’t a night of terror for German kids.

Saint Nick’s Day was great, far as I remember it. Granted, all I remember was one year in school, we left our shoes out front of the classroom and they put hollow chocolate Santas in them. That was awesome.

You are definitely in an alt reality on this one. :)

Also note that certain keywords will cause certain posts to go into “holding” until they’re approved. (Not your posts in this case, Old E — they were always there!) This happens frequently when people post and forget to fill in the “Name” field.
