Earlier today, we were out shopping (a theme that kept returning throughout the day…like I said, we were bored) at Best Buy.  I craved DVDs.  Picked up Garfield and Friends Season 2, and Freddy Vs. Jason.  Bringing this combination up to the register, I could’ve sworn I saw the checkout girl hitting one of those mystery under-desk buttons usually reserved for armed robbery.

I just got back from vacation…I drove damn near 700 miles today from South Carolina to Ohio. I’ve been gone a week, and it’s STILL Christmas at X-E!!! Oh well…I’ve been living off jambalaya, pork ribs and margaritas for the past seven days, so I can’t complain.

Stupid Christmas. :)  We’re still having trouble getting the new layout looking OK on all browsers (which is incredible because it’s by and large a simpler layout, nothing too fancy), but I think we’ll at least have the blog rolling in it by the weekend’s suffix.

Bar Harbor is, I dunno, more nostolgic (how? I’ve never been there.) and mysterious. And that is the destination of the road trip I have been planning (unsuccessfully) in my head.

My friends and I were just talking about that Maine trip.  We want to go back someday.  Long friggin’ drive, but it’s definitely a nice place to be.  Coronas on the rocks high above the crashing waves with nobody else in sight — only thing that beats that is a freshly murdered lobster without a pound of green shit hiding inside.

I’m always here on Saturday nights, but I’m usually the only one…sometimes I do catch articles fresh from the oven, which is nice.
If anybody wants to they can click here to see my adorable new puppy. Just picked him up from the airport yesterday and he is so tiny and cute I could just die.
Matt, if you’re still up and reading: I’ve got a lot to thank X-E for…over the years it’s given me hours of entertainment and inspiration but what I most want to thank you for right at this specific moment (still pretty close to 11:30 over here) is helping me realize how fucking awesome Golden Girls is. Seriously, I hadn’t watched that show in years and if it wasn’t for X-E I never would have started watching again and would have missed out on the greatness of Saint Olaf and horny old lady jokes.

That made me think that they should make a Michelob Extreme(!) to match all the other etreme crap out there. Which made me wonder what they could do to make it extreme. I decided they should find a way to suspend pop rocks in it so it explodes in your mouth.

Ohhhh yesssss, season 2 is out!  And I hate that damn ep.  I always cringe when Mario calls Dorothy  "Teach".  I then laugh hysterically when he gets deported! hahaha!

They never show the first ep. of season 2 on Lifetime.  It’s the one where they raise minks that are too old to mate.  I like that one a lot.  Plus on DVD, every episode has the full opening.  The extras are shit, but it’s just enough to have every single episode!

Sorry about the GGG (Golden Girls Gushing) but it’s late, I’m high, and the computer is not overheating.  So’s I can type!

Looks like GG Season 2 is out, and that it skimps on the extras as much as S1 did….apparently Mario Lopez isn’t a big enough name for them to bother listing him as a guest star on Amazon…though I guess it doesn’t exactly fit: Reynolds, Clooney, Lopez?!?
Speaking of WalMart, I’ve been a little skeeved to go into our local one, as it was the site of an unfortunate incident this past week…not sure if it made the national news or not but it’s been a big story here.

Man! I missed everything! And I was up too! My husband and I networked our computers together and we were up playing Diablo together (we did it when we were dating, so it’s kind of a thing for us.) I went to bed around 3:15, but then I ended up oversleeping for church and now I feel really bad (there’s something about missing church because you were playing DIABLO that makes you feel extra guilty.)

So, if I had been on the site, the answer I would have given would be…
Because even if there isn’t a new article, somebody’s probably posted something interesting on the blog and I always feel that if I go too long without visiting, I’ve probably missed something cool. That’s why I try to visit at least once a day.

As much as I love the articles (and I really do), it’s awesome to have a site where the bloggers can keep it going between new additions. I love you guys…

Oh, kb, you are right, Robert Berry just didn’t quite have it, thank goodness for Matt!  The only article Robert did a good job on was a review of "I love you forever", which is a kids book.  Other than that, you are right.

Actually, its Monday at 8:03 pm, and I have to go to bed in 3 hours and 27 minutes so I’ll get up at 4:30 am for my CBS internship.  :)

That’s right 4:30 am.  I have to take a train that leaves at 6:50 am.  If I dont get there on time, I dont get to work on time. I have to make a connecting 7:43 am train to Philly, but if I miss that, next one is in 5 minutes–I missed it last Tuesday. 

It also appears I have "Garfield Syndrome"–I dont intern on Mondays…or Fridays.  I know, Garfield only hates Mondays, but it seems like it rains every Friday around here–I’m glad I dont have to commute in torrential downpours, although my first week of internship was cold and yucky, and I had to wear pants.  I dont like wearing pants in May.  Yuck.  thank goodnes for warm temps.

I hope your Tuesdays are as good as mine will be–I’ll think of this site when I am learning director’s duties.  Actually, I’ll be on it on Friday on my NEXT day off!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey everybody, I found this great website with the HBO intro song on it–great stuff–and that scary-ass Embassy Home Video logo with the scary synthesizer.  You guys would like it…alot.  It’s scary in an 80s sorta way. 

I’m also reading about the Razzies right now.  The cover has a great photo of the Korean King Kong rip-off, called APE…giving the middle finger!!  shoot on over to amazon to see it, and let me know what you think.
