does anyone else remember the one year that Christmas Crunch came with a tube of frosting to put in yout cereal? Everyone thinks i’m crazy other than my brother because he remembers us fighting for it–we were little kids back then. But that shit was the bomb! What kid wouldn’t want frosting in their already sugar-saturated cereal?! I sure miss it.

Is there anyway that somebody could either put a clip of “A little black cat with yellow-green eyes” from the life and Adventures of Santa Claus on the web (i.e. Youtube) or email it to me – sjbraden@yahoo.com

I have spent the past weeks trying to find a clip of this on the web, and have been shut down at all ends! Thanks to anyone with a little bit of christmas spirit to make my dream come true.

Hey Matt,
I thought you would be interested to know that I work at a grocery store and tonight we recieved 5 cases of Christmas Crunch. Now, the store is owned by Kroger so that means you should be able to find it an any local grocery store. Also, I would recommend ordering yourself a whole case to guarantee yourself having enough Christmas crunch to maybe last till next Christmas (I’m pretty sure it’s a case of 12). If You’d like I could send you pictures I took with my camera of the cases.

i don’t know if matt is still reading this entry, but i wrote to the cereal-powers-that-be about christmas crunch (b/c i like it too), and i got this response:

Hello:

We’re always happy to receive an email from such a loyal consumer and delighted to know you would like to see Cap’n Crunch Christmas Crunch this year.

As you know, every Christmas we introduce Christmas Crunch for our consumer’s enjoyment during the holiday season. These limited edition items are generally available anywhere from three to six months at select retailers.

We would like you to know stores generally do not order product directly from our company. The final decision about which products to stock at an individual store is up to the store manager. If you want to purchase a product that is not available in your grocery store, ask the store manager to check with their supplier as they may be able to order a case for you.

In the event your favorite store is unable to obtain the product from their supplier, try contacting other grocery stores in your area. Other stores might use a different wholesaler that possibly carries the product. Unfortunately, we don’t have the facilities to process individual orders.

We thank you for your business and hope this information is helpful to you.

In reference to that DVD box set, I won’t be picking it up because I already have better DVDs of the specials included. See, the DVDs included on this set, for whatever reason, don’t contain any of the bonus features included on the previous DVD releases of the specials, which I’ve collected by purchasing on Amazon. Same thing with “Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol”. (However, my DVD of “Frosty the Snowman” does not contain “Frosty Returns”, but that’s no big loss, since “Frosty Returns” sucked anyway!)
