Yeah, “The Great Pumpkin” was given an hour-long timeslot this year so it could be shown uncut. ABC’s been doing the same thing with “A Charlie Brown Christmas” for the past five years or so.

It’s a bit late in the game, but I actually saw these – minus the cardboard backs – tonight at 7-11 on the way home from Collingswood. I was in the 7-11 for Slurpees and didn’t buy any, but it made for a nice coda to my Halloween.

Matt, I can forgive you for missing a couple days worth of updates.
In a world where holliday specials are next to non existant and holliday episodes are reserved for X-Mas only (and even then it’s usually nothing more than a normal episode with a tree and some snow) it’s hard to find a reason to get pumped for Halloween.
I went to Kent State’s big Halloween Party over the weekend and was severly dissapointed by how many people were too drunk to remember it was a Halloween party (Should have seen that coming since it’s a college town… and a college for really dumb kids at that) I later stopped into my local 24 hour K-Mart to boost my Halloween spirit and even while still dressed as Gambit the fact that X-Mas displays were allready replacing Halloween displays (Not joining, REPLACING) made me very depressed.
As I said last year, your Halloween Countdown was one of the only things to keep my haunting spookiness high and bloody. Last year was unique as the Nightmare Before X-Mas game just came out to help me hail Satan and rock out with Frankenstein. This year, your site and endless amounts of candy with mean eyes on them were the only thing keeping me from stuffing turkeys too early.
Kudos to you, Mr. C, and Happy Halloween.
