Dollar Tree’s “Creepy Classics” Toys!

Site was all buggy today. My apologies. I think it's working now. I was told it was, anyway. Joining the Halloween Countdown on this too warm evening is the Creepy Classics collection, a series of monster toys sold at dollar stores that've been all the rage this season. Article also features a little bonus section about cheap masks -- also dollar store pickups -- that take this entry from a 6 to a 7 with a silver foil star.

The actress who played V.I.C.I. is Tiffany Brissette. I liked’d her as well. Give her name the ol’ Google.

I guess i’m lucky because I live close to 3 dollar stores. 1 Dollar Tree and 2 Dollar General stores.

Thanks Kingklash. I kind of wish that I had not gone there. Apparently she did a guest spot on “Webster” in the “Uh Oh Incident.” And she is a real devout Christian. And something about a Bannana fish with Bob Hope where she is sitting on some guys lap as a kid driving. Scarey. Who knew?

correction. “It’s the Uh Oh Feeling.” Shit….that sounds even worse.

I actually somehow aquired a couple power rangers plates for my creepy crawlers thingmaker.

Yes! Matt made it out to Dollar Tree. I don’t really know why this excites me so, but it does.

Our Dollar Tree has been all but pilliaged of the goodies. Had I known there was going to be such a rush on all the Halloween goodies I would’ve stocked up long before instead of waiting. They had an entire section full of Halloween junk, and now it’s only about a third full, the rest having been sold (and most of what IS left is candy that you can get anywhere). *sigh*

I guess that’s what I get for moving into a suburb that’s known for being haven to a lot of families with young children. Oh well.

Okay, this has nothing to do with classic monsters with questionable taste in sporting gear, but I have to tell you guys that I totally owe you one. All yesterday afternoon, I had the distinct feeling that I was coming down with a raging case of three-day-weekend (can I blame Matt and his “sick” day?). But just before quitting time, they asked me to do something importantish first thing this morning, so all my plans of calling in were shattered. A whole afternoon of coughing conspicuously, and for nothing! So I was going to at least sleep in this morning, but all your posts inspired me to get up early and watch The Office instead, and it absolutely made a painful morning less so. So thanks everyone! (I don’t care ’bout anything but yooooou!)
I was at Dollar Tree not long ago and didn’t see anything good :P . I usually frequent $0.99 Only myself.
Happy Friday! At last!

Maybe it’s Tiffany Brissette of Small Wonder under the witch mask. Oh, the shame child actors endure when they mature…

hey Billy somebody put episodes of small wonder on youtube. Full episodes. I remember that show so I searched for it low and behold…I am going to warn you it will probably be a lot cornier then you remember.

On the original topic. the Dollar tree rocks. I might go there for some halloween decorations for the kiddies. I just started a new job yesterday and I am hoping I can stick with it. I am worried it will be too stressful and i will be burned out too easy and frequently. This company is laid back, we were swearing up a storm and our Trainer didn’t really seem to care even though I blerted out “grandma porn” when he walked back into the room and he said that’s enough of that. It was part of the conversation I am not a pervert! well it depends who you ask heh.

I also would like to pay homage to the nice blue eyes behind the mask. Those masks are so horrible, yet so cool at the same time. I bet that when you stick your face inside it smells funny. I remember buying the hard plastice masks at pharmacies. They were Superman, Batman, G.I. Joe, etc. All they had were two little nose holes and about a quarter inch slot where your mouth should be. After a half hour or so of wearing it, the inside would become like a sauna. The inside would condensate so badly that your lips would be sweating. every time you exhaled through your nose it would whistle, and if you tried to speak it sounded like you were talking directly into a plastic cup. Ahhh they don’t make complete crap like they used to.

Thanks Goob! You’re right, it’s not like I remember. Gotta hate that damn Harriet!

I work for Dollar Tree. I’ve seen all these cheesy halloween items. I’ve stocked them too. It is a pretty nice place to work. At the moment we have Halloween, Thanksgiving, and X-mas stuff all side by side each other. We probably have Valentines junk in the back too.

My parents own a little nieghborhood bar, and a while ago, on the shelf above the cash registar, this angry, plastic monkey showed up. We used to put him in bizarre poses with the other junk (mainly die-cast cars) that we keep up there. He always struck me as hilarious, mainly because I had no idea what he was so angry about. Well, now I know. The angry monkey was actually King Kong from the Creepy Classics set, and he was so angry because he was, well, King Kong. Thanks for solving a mystery I didn’t even know about Matt!

I’m a bit late, but here’s how I decorated…I didn’t go low-budget, I went no-budget. That’s right toliet paper ghosts, not even kleenex ghosts. I went totally cheap. AND this relates to the original movie, 13 ghosts! Each ghost is completely different. Real fun to do!

I bought a mess of those little fellows too. I did not get the werewolf because I didn’t really care for the Oliver Reed one all that much.
They also had Frankenstein playing cards which were cool too.
