09/30/2006: Halloween + Beer.

Better an hour or so past deadline than two hours or so past deadline. It’s Saturday, I know, but let’s consider this as Friday’s Halloween Countdown entry, for organization’s sake. It’s a short, meandering ditty about Halloween’s frequent team-ups with beer. I don’t know.

Wow, I can’t believe we’re up to fifteen Countdown articles already. Time to go start preparing next week’s batch of goodies. Be good, you.

Holy shit, it’s already the 2nd of October? I totally missed that shit. But that means tomorrow is BOTH Little Mermaid AND McDonald’s Monopoly day! I don’t know what it is about peeling off little Monopoly stickers from Chicken Sandwiches and Large Cokes that gets me so worked up. This year they’ve implemented some online stuff that looks like you can even chose a gamepiece and roll dice for prizes. Heh, the back of my car will soon be a graveyard of used McDonald’s cups.

I was a Dane “Comedy Central Presents” fan once upon a time, but that changed once (a) I saw him in person at the Improv and he waxed poetic about being ridiculously drunk for almost the entire time. Dude, it’s funny, just not *that* funny. (b) Last time he was on SNL he did a “I have a super huge penis joke” and this time he did a “suicide is funny” joke. Someone needs to screen his material and let him know: it’s not working anymore!!

I am (*ashamed*) a Jessica SImpson fan so I will probably see the new flick. It will definitely be a renter, though. No way am I choking up 8 bucks to see it in theaters.

The Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale is pretty good. I have to agree with LemurCat, however, that cider says Halloween to me more than beer. Grocery store brand is fine, but for extra sugary, go for the Starbucks hot cider with caramel and whipped cream, and for something fancy try the Etienne Dupont organic hard cider brewed in Normandy. It tastes great and makes you feel all fancy n’ shit.

I love Dane Cook. But I probably haven’t been exposed to him as much as everyone else because I haven’t had tv in 4 months, and so I haven’t been overexposed to things as much as other people. Everytime a car alarm goes off I think of him. And I downloaded his album (revelation) and I had my sister listen to part of it. She found him on youtube (not knowing what he looked like, she remembered his voice and saw his name) and she told me the next day, OMG HE’S SO HOT!! I just rolled my eyes and said yeah. So everytime I meantion Dane Cook she goes OMG HE’S SO HOT lol it’s funny. But she’s such a skanky hosebag she like wants to do everybody. Is that the word/phrase of the day? And another thing about my sister, I told her a story about my cousin saying that his teacher looked like a garbage truck and everytime she walked by he thought he would hear a beeping noise but didn’t, so one time she was walking by he said “beep beep beep” and his friends chuckled while the teacher just glared at him (he always had problems with that teacher because of him being the class clown and she had a janet reno type of build and she was pregnant) Anyway my sister everytime she talks to me now she acts like she’s backing up and she says “beep beep beep” My sister has some weightage lol and can easily make fun of herself. That is the only thing I am going to miss moving out of here, joking around with her and my best friend. Everything else sucks, and is too much stress. ’sigh’ hey why do I act like this is a confessional or something.

As I hovered over my Favorites link to this site I noticed a message showing “X-Entertainment died.” I could swear I had seen different ones before, but wasn’t sure. Are these changed daily? I like it when there is “more than meets the eye” on a web page.

On a side note, Dustin Diamond came to Matrix, a club near my place of emplyment. I totally got shitfaced drunk with Screech from Saved by the Bell. All was going smashingly until by friend broke out his digital camera. Apparently Screech did not want to have pictures taken while he was three sheets to the wind and got up and left the promotion. So, of course, we followed him down the street shouting “screech, screech, screech” Man, I love messing with celebrities, even if they aren’t REAL ones.

Also of nopte, my birthday is on Friday. I love having an October birthday. I always go to “Phantom Fright Nights” here in PA at Kennywood Park. There are hundreds of people dressed up like assorted evil things trying to scare the bejesus out of you whilst you are wandering around a an amusement park turned into hell on earth. The even ride the scariest coaster backwards and with no lights. I can’t wait.

Just watched the Cook SNL monologue. The YouTube stuff was funny because well YouTube is my current obsession. The rest resembled Ben Affleck flailing his way through Surviving Christmas, except not funny.

And then he let me know that Brandon Flowers was in the building. That episode by definition is the the epidemy of evil as defined currently in my head.

That Screech story was hilarious! I would have had a drink with him too- I bet that guy is actually very depressed.

This weekend “The Trailer Park Boys Movie” hits theaters- this show has been huge in Canada for years now, and I predict this movie will make them hit it BIG in the USA. Go see it- it is hilarious shit!
