Spooky Cat Peeps: The dark purple cat Peeps actually came out before the cocoa cat Peeps. I know it's difficult to tell the order of things because sometimes the product availability seems so random! I know this may be minutiae, but I live for it--just as you do. :)

Oh gosh, every time I see my father eating a big honking THING of Whoppers I feel my lip curl as a sneer takes over my face...but when I eat those damn things they're just so good.

Thank you for mentioning Peeps. I can eat a whole package of them in about 5 minutes. I've searched in vain for the "Decorate Your Own" peeps they released for Easter. But in NYC, you're lucky to get some bunnies in a Duane Reade, and I'll be damned if you can find a Cadbery Creme Egg. I know I'm seasonally way off, but just like Jesus, it's the time of year when Peeps are reincarnated.

mmmmm candy. i'm seriously thinking about buying all that candy you showed. Although i'm not too fond of the thought of becoming diabetic before i turn 30, but piging out on sweets is a halloween tradition.
And yes i find Whoppers disgusting, but that won't stop me from eating them if someone places a box in front of me.

There's a local (NJ, PA, NY) chocolate store chain that sells little filled chocolates called smidgens. I happened to go by a store in a mall recently that was giving away free samples of Pumpkin Pie Smidgens. THE BEST HALLOWEEN CANDY EVER. I had to buy a whole box after trying them. Not only do they really taste like pumpkin pie, but the flavor lasts a good 5 minutes after you eat one. And they're shaped like jack-o-lanterns! Try 'em, you'll like 'em!!

I am SO glad I'm not half the freak I thought I was. With Matt and then others commenting here I now know I am not the only one who has the love/hate relationship with whoppers. I always thought it was some sort of psycological factor concerning something I had seen or heard from my childhood of someone getting sick on them or maybe some forgotten episode were I got sick on them but I guess not. So now my secret is out and I don't feel so bad anymore. But I disagree with sweet Matt on the whole not liking the revamped Reese's cause I actually like the pumpkins and christmas tree Reese cups better then the originals. I know, I know. Sacrelgious-Scandelous-B-A-D, but I can't help it. I've tried figuring it out too and can't seem to. Maybe it's because they give just a bit more (or in MY opinion a lot more) pb in them....Who knows but I always love Reeses on holidays. And a comment about the carmel apples-So I just tried my hand at some of them today as a matter of fact because I had this great idea to make some for work and my mom got me a milk maid bag with YES FREE POPSICLE STICKS! And so I went at it and it was working all fine, as soon as I figured out to add some water to the melting carmels, until I got to the part were you peel the apples off the wax paper and I had failed to grease it-DUN-DUN-DUN! And so I had painfully remove the papers with carmel ending up all over counters, fingers, floor, knife, shirt (sort of souds like a bad porn film or something...)then it struck me with awful pain-how would I wrap these to take these to work because then I would have to grease the WHOLE APPLE in order for the paper not to stick when I wrapped them up to take them to work so now I am on a mission-to find an easy solution to this problem on WHAT to wrap the finished product in so I could take it to work so people won't have to pull their apples off the same tray and it would easier to transport them TO work if I could package more together without them sticking together. So far my results have proved fruitless other then all these other websites keep referencing me here and I love Matt to death but doubted he could help me out in this situation but I did give me quite a few laughs thatI needed to get rid of this frustration-So if anyone may by chance have ANY ideas on WHAT I should wrap my apples in in order to transport them to work (I've got 35 to do :( I'd GREATLY appreciate it :)

In my neck of the woods, Northern New Jersey, the night before Halloween was known as Goosey Night. In my neighborhood, the "delinquents" would soap cars and egg houses. I heard from a friend that an easy way to create "instant" rotten eggs was to bury a fresh egg in a flower bed, marking the exact place you had buried it, then come back two days later and dig it up, being careful not to break it in the disinterment process. PHEW! I remember one of my neighbors used to stand guard in his front yard on Goosey night with a salt gun.
