How awesome, Jazzy! That sounds like a really good idea!
I was surprised how hard it was to find green nailpolish. Almost every brand carries at least one shade of blue, but never green. =( Discrimination!

Highlight: learning Count Duckula is on DVD, buying the aforementioned DVD, tonight is movie night (currently playing: Hellboy), my boyfriend comes back from TDY tomorrow, narrowed my Halloween costume ideas down to three possibilities.
Lowlight: my sister and her fiance lost a groomsman, so they kicked me out of their wedding… MY EFFING SISTER! And now I have to tell her off about it and I despise confrontation.
Highlight: Started a new job on Monday, my first job ever. Got my first paycheck on Friday so now I have some money to spend on my vacation to Niagara Falls next week.
Lowlight: On my second day of work, got the bitchiest customer ever, ( I work in retail). I was just trained on the register and the stupid thing froze up on me. The lady started yelling at me how there is a button I should be able to push, but if I wasn’t so stupid, I wouldn’t have to push the button in the first place. I finally unfroze the machine, but somehow messed up on what button to push to calculate the change back, so I’m doing quick math in my head, which I’m not that good at, and said to the customer, “Your change would be $1.31 right?” She yells back that it’s not her job to know what the change would be, and I shouldn’t be working there if I’m that dumb. I explain that it’s only my 2nd day, and she goes, I don’t care, and chances are after you’ve been here a year, you’ll still be stupid. She then took her change and left. Yeah, that’s the lowlight of the week.

Okay, way offf topic. There was just a string of tornados and thunderstorms here and the local news chanel just came upon a collapsed house. They pulled over and started taping, while the family drove up to the house. (they hadn’t seen the house until then) As they were getting out of the car they shove the camera and mic into the family’s faces and interview them as they react. SO tacky. The reporter actually said, “Have you ever seen your house like this before?”
Highlight, my power’s back on already:)
Highlights: Week without mom (came back today, ugh), myspace blog getting popular due to fark and word of mouth (see Straight Balin’ entry), Who Concert, Applebee’s last night w/ friends!
Lowlights: crappy check from KB, and no check from CVS, no one is talkin in IMs right now, 4 of them (I’m on AOL). Missin’ both a bday party AND an important frat meeting due to work at CVS.
Highlights: In the comments on my poem for this week’s Poetry Writing course at school, I got a lot of “This is the best poem from today!” I got the new Dan Bern CD. Four Elliott Smith tracks leaked. One of those three.
Highlight: I just got a fat paycheck yesterday that will allow me to now get my new computer, an iMac, probably sometime today. This rules extra because I no longer have to share a computer with anyone. The people I share one with are like virus magnets.
Lowlight: I tried a new local resturant Friday, and it wasn’t very good. Getting Sprite that oddly tastes like club soda, watered down Coke, and crappy mozzarella triangles without any cheese in them made me slightly upset. Plus, they had a game room, where you have to pay 2$ just to play any of the games, which, in my increasingly surly mood, I was not up to do.

New highlight. I wised up and put Windows back on my computer. Some related highlights are finally being able to watch the TV shows I have downloaded on my TV (Linux wouldn’t do it) and getting access to my files in time to get my Halloween post up in time (Linux wouldn’t let me view the hard drive contents), I had promised to have it up on the 16th; made it with about a half hour to spare.
Highlights: Almost done with season 2 of 24, dropped a class so I dont have to wake up at 5:15 every week day, saw a school poster with something that looked like a gaping anus
Lowlights: Computer busted so needs to be in safe mode, almost crashing car, getting algebra teacher with thick indian accent, getting 6 hours of weekend homework, argument with father, and school.
Some one kill me after I see the last episode of 24.

I was just thinking how my week was a total roller coaster. Most of the time I go through life at a slightly unhappy medium. This week was different.
Lows: Working over 60 hours this week to plan a test that was more about politics than good engineering principles. Finding out the fabrication of equipment for said test wasn’t going to be totally complete for the test. Looking at the duties of someone two pay grades higher than me, and realizing that I do all of that stuff, and the only thing holding me back is a patent disclosure and time served with the company. Watching a worker let a piece of tape get sucked into a radiological ventilation system full of delicate gauges and filters.
Highs: Having my boss and my boss’s boss congratulate me on my totally worthless testing. Seeing the equipment I designed in operation, and working even better than I expected. Finally getting my overdue raise and promotion. Finding the piece of tape lost into the ventilation ducting stuck at a junction that was easily accessible, so I don’t have to direct workers to break open a radiological ventilation system.
That last item probably saved me 40+ hours of overtime, for which I wouldn’t have been paid, or paid at 50% my normal rate. I have that tape mounted on my bulletin board like a trophy.
This week was actually a pretty good one, I guess.
Highlights: I went to a show on Thursday night, ran into a friend from eighth grade on Friday, and went to my best friend’s birthday party tonight.
Lowlights: Um, school? Also the pain in my ears from the concert and “the club” where the BDP was held. So much pain!

Highlights: Actually had a day off this week where I didn’t have to get up at 5am the next day, and I got to drink and be merry. Awesomeness. Got Cow costume I wanted from Party City. Made awesomely bad dancing video. Just talked to some guy on the phone at work from Minnesota that sounded like Michael Moore. Thought it was interesting. Did first on-air contest last Sunday giving away Bonnie Raitt tickets, didn’t sound like a boob. Well that much like a boob.
Lowlights: Working all weekend long, one job after another practically.. barely any sleep. Got yelled at by parents for not picking food up from their house, because I’ve been too tired. One of my parents’ cats died from cancer. My ex boyfriend is still being an immature piece of crap.
Highlights: Talking to a girl at work who I have a crush on, buying a cheap guitar flanger off ebay, a huge box of books from Amazon Japan arriving for me
Lowlights: Losing out on a cool Sailor Moon doujinshi on ebay due to some idiot at work distracting me, failing to do any excercise again
how much do the halloween ponies cost at target? i am homebound but really wanted them and was gonna get them off ebay but dont want too be ridiculously overcharged. being ill sucks.

GREG- I’ve seen SEVERAL people online bitch because Lego Star Wars for the DS was shittily crafted. I strongly reccomend you check out some reviews before you purchase. You may just want to get something you know will be good, like WarioWare or New Super Mario Bros.

Highlights:
-Started a new Job
-STAR WARS original cuts on DVD (even if they arent’ widescreen or remastered)
Lowlights:
-Too many nights home alone
-had to do inventory for band mouthpieces.

Lowlights: Finding out a friend of a friend is in an abusive relationship and having zero way to help. 3 kids involved. Yuck.
Highlights: My girl drew us together and looks fuckin’ awesome! (Plus she’s an amazing artist)
kids with no appreciation or frame of reference of anything that occured before 1996
Well, to be fair, all exsistance did suck entirely up until that year.

Cameron: the Star Wars DVDs ARE widescreen, just not Anamporphic Widescreen (i.e. they won’t mold to your Widescreen TV–the black bars are part of the picture, like on a widescreen VHS).
Click my name for one of the best guides to what anamorphic widescreen is all about. Easy to read and understand, with picture examples to illustrate the point.
cmon, anyone know the going price for the Target Halloween My Little Ponies? Ive seen pix, they are too cute and I must have them!!!
Highs= Held an 11 person Texas Hold Em game at my new apartment that was really fun, went to a Blues festival, started tutoring a Korean couple and I got to eat Korean food again for the first time in a year!
Lows= I have a cold, still no work (I am a substitute teacher), my bank card stopped working and nobody knows why…

Kittycatgirl – At my Target they were $4.99 each.

Highlight: Completely buying out Party America’s Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street Halloween decorations.
my first time…
highlight: my birthday on the 14, seeing atreyu on the 12th and getting cards and calls from my friends
lowlight: too many classes, too little time and instead of a romantic evening alone with my cute neighbour(dinner and movie..the new paul verhoeven, yeah i;m dutch and i major in history), i had the dinner alone, turns out she invited like 6 other people to go see the movie…..

Mystie:
Thanx. I just bought a pair on ebay that were really jacked up in price but not as bad as some of the other auctioons going on for the pair. I NEED some kinda halloween happiness around here and my little pony fits the bill… thanx for the help.

Highhlight: Finally meeting a good woman. Taking it slow, of course. Past relationships dictate, going quickly, is not a good idea. Oh! And constructing an action figure review site!
Lowlight: Found out my best friend is moving to Florida. I’m happy for her, but I’m sad on the other hand.

The highlight of my week was planning a trip to new york on halloween and see the features on friday night.
Spoodles, et al
Yeah, I know they are Letterboxed widescreen–I meant they aren’t anamorphic transfers. But damned if I didn’t feel like a kid again when I watched the first one, with the projector and a proper screen. It may not be very pretty, but that’s ok.
And yes, Anamorphic means that it is enhanced for 16X9 TVs. If you have a widescreen TV and play the original cuts, you’ll get a tiny little box surrounded by black bars on all sides–definatley not what most fans were hoping for.
Still: Nub Nub song on RotJ==Awesomeness.

Highlight- I found those rubber skulls that you squeeze and their eyes pop out at party city Friday, the low- I’m sick.
Highlights: The Halloween Countdown, I went to the beach this weekend, it’s almost fall
Lowlights: Class and work, back to the grind tomorrow
Ghosted by Fox @ 09/17/2006 3:46 PM EDT
I adopted a dog who was only minutes away from being put down. It was a high and a low because it made me sad that he was going to be killed but then really pumped because now he’s my buddy.
Doho, wouldn’t that include the original STAR WARS Trilogy?

The Manimal
Obvioulsy, the original, UNCUT Star Wars Trilogy exists outside of normal time.

I had a pretty good week. The best part was when I was at this store that specializes in halloween costumes and props, and I was asked to work there. To think that im gonna spend the next two months after school with nothing to do but be around halloween stuff already makes me excited!

Ok, I’m a little late on the SNT.
Highlights: Saw Kevin Nealon (of Saturday Night Live fame, not to be confused with Saturday Night THREAD) Friday night at the Funny Bone in St. Louis. We got to talk to him and take pictures. Funny guy. Saw Classical Myster Tour (Beatles tribute) Saturday night with the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. That was freakin’ awesome.
Here’s a highlight for this week: I just met my future wife who works at this new coffee place down the street. *sigh* I might have to go there more often.
Lowlights: It started getting HOT again. Just when I thought the nice fall weather was setting in. That, and I’m still stuck here at work…blughh. Can’t complain though.
