09/03/2006: Find The Treasure!

We had a blackout most of yesterday which, to be honest, turned out to be a welcome one. It sucked during the day, but by night, it was interesting to see the neighborhood pitch black and pretend that we needed to be prepared for cannibal looters. Once that got old, we skipped to a town with power, got hammered at a Japanese restaurant, and came home to find that we had electricity but no desire or coherence left to actually use it. I could use a day like that once a month.

Matt, please tell me you play with this shit. I know you put alot of it on the site, but please tell me you play with it. Don’t be that collector guy. Toys are meant to be played with until they get boring, then they are made to be set on fire, while the rest of the G.I. Joes watch in horror as one of their own gets killed.

A frined of mine’s dad is a carpenter that builds movie sets for the film industry, His house looks very much like that, except it’s movie props he’s worked on, He’s got an ogre egg from Ernest Scared Stupid and a Gothic looking chair from some cable access production, plus alotta other crap including a Palm Tree from, Uh, that movie that features palm trees.

Hey, did Cobra’s Chia Plot ever get finished? The last thing I remember was part IV…

A make your own Twinkies kit? Yeesh, is there any food/restaurant that didn’t have a make your own kit back then? All I had was my Easy Bake Oven, which was cool. Although the Snoopy Sno-Cone kit was always in toy stores, I’ve never known anyone who’ve had one.

I wish my room looked like that.

Make your own twinkies? No friggin way!

Where did you see that at?

Blake
The Chia pet plot was finished in the evil alternate universe by evil Matt (not related to Evil Matt from previous Halloween countdowns).

(In other words, no, it was never finished).

I just saw this on Yahoo: “Crocodile Hunter” Steve Irwin dies.

Aw man, If this is real, thats gonna suck, I loved that Crazy Aussie. It was great to watch that wacky Australian get into assorted hijinks. Its amazing to me that after all that man has been through, he dies from somthing as simple as a stingray.

He touched many peoples lives and saved many more, he also invented new methods of humane ways to trap and release animals that would not harm the animal or the human doing the trapping.

Rest in Peace Steve, You will definitly be missed.

I want that Freddy figure hiding back behind the Twinkies!!

The Yahoo story seems legit, but I’ll hold out hope for a hoax. I really don’t want it to be true. I’ve always wanted to go to Australia Zoo and see him in action.
What’s the story on the bust next to the Ecto Cooler? I don’t recognize it at all.

Ghosted by squee4242 @ 09/04/2006 2:34 AM EDT

Seeming pretty legit so far.

The bust is from the old chinchilla article. :)

Man this sucks. It feels true but I hope it isn’t. He was batshit crazy, but in a good way. He sure knew his crocs. I used to watch his show all the time. This weekend was going so good too. shit !

I never actually ATE Morning Funnies, but, holy crap, just seeing those boxes brought back memories of the ads they used to run with 100,000 comic strip characters enjoying the cereal. Has this been covered on X-E in the past?

Funny how the one thing that really catches my eye is the Pac-Man soup. God I loved that soup.
