You’re thinking of Mortal Kombat.
Actually, I’m thinking Arby’s.

That was enough to make me laugh and get coffee in the nose.
It is kinda weird to hear about Pluto. But seriously, can’t we just pretend it’s a planet like we have been all along? I mean, raise your hand if your life’s gonna alter if we change it’s status. Poor Pluto.

Mystie, is that one of the illustrated “young Jack Sparrow” books? If so, how was it? I wasn’t impressed by the art on a brief flip-thru, but I’m still interested in it if it’s worth the read. As for the pain, I found that preemptive ibuprofen helped (just pop it several times a day), along with prudent use of rum for occasional help sleeping :) . Gum chewing helped too when they started breaking through.
Some more queries:
Celebrity/historical figure you’d most like to meet (living): Stephen Merchant (This is a tough one for me, it could just as easily be J.K. Rowling, Johnny Depp, Jack Nicholson or Robert Rodriguez).
Celebrity/historical figure you’d most like to meet (dead): John Lennon
Celebrity/historical/fictional figure you most identify with: Frida Kahlo
Favorite returning fall shows: The Office, Lost (I need some new suggestions for my Tifaux!)
Unseen/upcoming movie you’re most eager for: Idylwild, The Black Dahlia, SoaP
Interesting responses so far from everybody!

The thing about the Pluto change is that 95% of the world’s population either doesn’t care or doesn’t know about it. It will be probably 5-10 years before school textbooks are updated, and to this generation, Pluto is a planet. That’s not going to change. If you pull some random person off the street and ask him if Pluto is a planet, he’ll say yes..

Other Plutos that will be off-ed:

Pluto, the Dog: will now be just Mickey’s bitch

Pluto Nash: will be removed from Blockbuster shelves (wait, it probably was done already)

Bluto: will finally get his comeupins.

Movie: Boondock Saints
In Theatre: SoaP (too funny not to be cult)

Speaking of TV, and I know you were, the Gong Show NEEDS to come back. It’s the bext premise ever, and in todays “insta-star” media it would roll! Besides, who DOESN’T want to see Hulk Hogan gong someone out again?

Speaking of Mario, I was going through a box of old video tapes that I have, and I found 3 tapes of the Super Mario Brothers Super Show. Only one has an actual live part on it. The other 2 are just compliation tapes. I also found a tape of the Super Mario Brothers 3 show.

Wow, I have a response for every mini-topic in tonight’s blog.

My DVD’s are obsessively alphabetized and subdivided into Movies, Movie Series (trilogies and such), TV shows, Cartooons (so it’s easier for the kids to find what they want).

Last Album: Tom Petty – Wildflowers
Last Book: Stephen King – Everything’s Eventual
Last TV Show(s): Buffy and Angel – I’ve been going through the DVD boxsets and should finish all 12 collective seasons by Halloween. Mythbusters if TV on DVD doesn’t count.
Last Home Movie: I started The Honeymoon Killers last night but didn’t finish it.
Last Theater Movie: Zoom – one of the WORST movies I have seen in a long time. It’s level of suckiness almost reaches Wing Commander proportions.
Last Video Game: Half-Life 2

As for Freddy back on the big screen. It is showing at our local theater and I’m thinking about taking my 11 year old. Is that neglect/abuse?

Oh yeah the Zombies are so kick ass! I saw them playing at some casino a few summers ago. It was great!
