FILTHY is the only way to drink a martini!!!!
If you want to make martinis at home, invest in a (very)cheap bottle of dry white vermouth(it should last at least 6 months, but truly makes a martini) Only use (frozen) Absolut or a cheaper brand of vodka. Invest in a plastic dollar-store shaker or whatever you call Tupperware. Lots of ice and this recipe will guarantee you many evenings of comfortable numbness…6 oz vodka, 3-4 oz olive brine, 1/4 oz dry vermouth…shake it like it owes you money and strain it into any old glass with a fat skewer of Queen stuffed olives.(Makes 2 drinks)

Now now, the Megaparty will probably be cool on some days and "oh ok" for the rest…the only promise is: Daily blog-dates in August.

As for tonight, I’m stuck preparing for another business trip, and faced with the tragic truth that the plastic flamingos I was supposed to bring are not for sale ANYWHERE. Now I’m up to coffee and pretending it’s a night earlier.
