Save Danny Phantom!

This was pretty cool. Apparently, Nick is canceling Danny Phantom, and apparently, some people are upset about it. Some people were upset enough about it to stage a protest right outside the building today, complete with picket signs that were so awesome, I'm still not entirely sure this wasn't an internal publicity stunt. They gave out flyers and free candy, had televisions playing episodes of the show...amazing. The people protesting were a pretty eclectic group, so I'm assuming that they founded their cause online and only met each other this morning. They weren't all "FUCK YOU VIACOM" or anything, either. It felt a little bit more like a party, only they were celebrating something that pissed them the fuck off. Don't know how helpful it'll be, but I scored a single-wrapped LifeSaver out of it. I hope Matt and my fellow bloggers don’t mind, but having seen another blogger do this, I’d like to do an extemporaneous survey: Please share your bad experiences working in fast food. I’ll start: one day within the last three months, I was working the register at my local McDonald’s and had just totaled the customers order. I went to get the food, as I figured would be a good idea, but I hadn’t taken the money yet. My manager would have been wise to remind me to take the money and give change before fetching the order. Instead, he grabs me as I am leaving the register, drags me in front of it, and stands behind me working my arms like a puppet, performing the necessary actions, all in full view of the customers.

Well…when Invader Zim was cancelled I wrote an angry letter to Nick.

But then I got over it. You can’t bring back canned shows. (Unless you’re Family Guy – PH.)

I liked Darkwing Duck, but that show is one of the reasons why I’m tired of hearing Jim Cummings’ voice everywhere.

It’s kinda sad, I guess. I mean that box of Captain Crunch with the DP Create-A-Villian contest has been sitting on my fridge for months. Hope someone won that and had their creation used. Wouldn’t want another case of the Bitner.

Nickelodiam sold out. It was way much better when i was a kid. The only good thing they have now is Fairly odd parents, and now i hear thats being cancelled!!!.
You have no idea how much i miss garfield and friends, or muppet babies….

I only am aware of Fairly Odd Parents from when they have done the Jimmy/Timmy power hours with Jimmy Neutron, which I do watch.

But, not having seen an actual show, I am happy to hear that FOP is being cancelled, because maybe then King’s Island will change the name of the kids’ roller coaster back from "The Fairly Odd Coaster" to the Beastie.

I had no idea I missed an entire blog, so I’ll say that Nickelodeon died in 1996.

I like Danny Phantom (but not Love it), and I hope the protests work. I’m still protesting for Invader Zim’s return, and that’s 4 years going.

And I know 4 blogs ago I said it was #800, but upon research, it seems that the first Blog was #4, and it skipped #5, and continued after #6, so this is really Blog #800!!!!!

Danny Phantom is garbage IMO. A ripoff of Ghostbusters but not as funny or as scary. Fairly Odd Parents has gone into the crapper lately, with the fairy godfather turning from a nice guy to a total asshole. Glad it’s been cancelled. About time! Spongebob and Avatar are what I watch on Nick.

I give up. The problem is that all the fans are just too obsessed to realize that it’s just a television show. It’s something you watch for 22 minutes, and you’re done. Shows die. Find something else to watch.

I looooved Salute Your Shorts when it was on, although I’d never watch it now. I think I’d watch You Can’t Do That on Television if it was available on DVD.

What’s with all the assholes on the blog lately? A lack of assholes is why I always liked this place, as opposed to almost everywhere else on the web.

I’ve been getting my "old school" Nick kick from GaS lately; they play the old Nick game shows on there (Legends; Guts; Finders Keepers) non-stop, with no commercials (ok, except for their "This is GaS" commercial). Love that channel!

Definitely would buy the DVD for Hey Dude if it ever came out; it’s one of my earliest clear memories! I had a crush on Christine Taylor for most of my childhood, then forgot her until recently (thanks to Dodgeball and Arrested Development). I wonder what ever happened to Kelly Brown…

I never watch Nick unless my 9 year old nephew is over, and then he’ll watch Danny Phantom and Spongebob. He’s gonna be mad when there’s no more DP on. I used to love the channel though when I was a kid when Hey Dude and Salute Your Shorts was on, forgot about GUTS until Dr.Sketch mentioned it, loved that show too.
