Man, that blog fix I implemented sucks. Everyone is having problems with it. Hopefully the guy who can actually fix it the right way will be online tonight.

Yay, SNT!
and weird… I just heard the "like a good neighbor state farm is there" commercial.

Dude, white spiders suck. I apparently had a nest of them in the odd corner of my room that I disturbed while packing. Bastards.

Speaking of NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2, I saw it at TARGET for only 5.50. I will probably get it soon.
I am off on my big excursion to Antietam, Gettysburg, and Massena, NY (??) early Monday.

I’ve been reading this blog for awhile, but I still can’t figure it out. What’s the point of these SNTs? Is it just an opportunity for us to talk about random stuff?
Ghosted by Jono @ 06/17/2006 11:52 PM EDT
I guess the SNTs are us saying, "Well, we’re here on a Saturday night and we’re not really part of any grander Internet subculture with which to waste our time, so we may as well make the best of it." I kind of look at it like this: It’s like when you’re online really, painfully late one night with no reason or drive to go to bed, and it’s always a little better when that happens if a friend or two is on your buddylist. You might not be talking to them every second or even at all, but it’s nice to know somebody’s out there.
That, and we just like bullshitting.

Hey pdac…did you play any of the Price is Right slots?
It’s creepy…Rod Roddy’s voice is still on a few of them
I also hate the vouchers…that clank-clank of the coins falling into the chute is sorely missed. And it’s weird how there are still coin buckets available.
yeeeeeah!!
my first SNT Post!!!
hows everyone doin??
and matt, any rad suprises for us loyal fans tomorrow, something involving a land, with mice and a weird dog who can talk??(speakin of which, why cant pluto talk?>!?!)
Ahhh, STAR TOURS. Only been on it once but I remember thinking that there should have been more Death Star, less inside a comet or whatever it was. Hey Matt, at least Teek from Battle for Endor makes it into the pre-ride safety video. I guess they wanted to get one last use out of the costume Did you catch that when you while you were watching?
WHy am I still awake? Teachers during the summer time…
Ghosted by The Manimal @ 06/18/2006 12:42 PM EDT
Hah, Manimal, I got a pic of Teek and he was the best part of the whole ride for me.
Ghosted by Matt @ 06/18/2006 12:43 PM EDT
Teek is the best part of anything anywhere ever.

On the Freddy glove:
Click my name for a rather creepy conversation.
Star Tours is the best; my favorite bit is the smoker. I’m assuming that pic of Teek wasn’t taken with FLASH photography
Preliminary searchery (read: extremely preliminary) tells me that the first Saturday Night Thread that was just for Saturday’s sake was from 06/04/2005, and just consisted of "It’s 11:30. It’s Saturday night. Why’re ya here?" I actually remember that night distinctly because it was the night after I got my puppy and I was doing a lot of chasing, and running around with paper towels. "[It's] always a little better when that happens if a friend or two is on your buddylist. You might not be talking to them every second or even at all, but it’s nice to know somebody’s out there."
Love this.
Good researching, Squee. That one is also significantly historically because it was the death nell of the Christmas layout. Some celebrate the 4th of July, others Bastille Day; Looks like 6/4/2005 is on its way to the history books.
Or not.

Yay, SNT! Well, I guess it’s actually Sunday Morning when I’m posting this. Oh well…
Got a DS Lite last Sunday…It’s awesome. If you’ve been considering a DS but haven’t gotten one yet, buy one NOW!!
I wonder if I could record the crickets in here and make some quick cash…

I’ve never had a Freddy glove. In fact, I hadn’t even seen a Freddy movie until pretty recently. My mom wouldn’t let me watch them when I was younger, and then as I got older things never really fell into place for a Nightmare On Elm Street viewing.
Now that I’ve seen them all however, the idea of owning a Freddy glove does sound very tempting. Not a crappy plastic one though. I want a real one that I could kill people with. Not that I’d actually kill anyone or anything, but sometimes it’s good to know that that option’s on the table.
hey, got some bad news for snyone who is a fan of the friday the 13th movies and hasnt already heard, apparantly they are doing a texas chainsaw massacre style remake, and the site i read it on(sorry, cant remember the site and im too damn lazy to look, whaddaya gonna do) said that they plan n changin the story line to include all of the first 4 in one flick and they will change the story line to update it for 2006, i think i will go cry now….
Aww, and I ended up going to bed at about 9:30 last night because there was too much lightning to have any electronic stuff plugged in. For a while there, it was like a continuous strobe light, with uncomfortably close extra-bright strokes just to screw with the light sensors on nearby street lights. Entertaining stuff.

Critters 4 on HBO……. RIGHT NOW!!!!!!

Bugs Bunny teams up with the Trix Rabbit in this commercial from 1985:
Kind of. (in replying to if I remember the Hairdini infomercial)
But I’ll have to put my 2 pennies in for the immortal Showtime Rotisserie, for the same damn commercial that was filmed 6 years ago, and then the new one that was filmed 2 years ago that added the portions with the "Solid Flavor Injector"
It always seems on any weekend when I wake up and my tv isn’t set on a specific channel, that infomercial is always on when I turn the tv on, and it makes me hungry as hell.
And my favorite aspects of the Magic Bullet besides the dirty chainsmoking Diner Waitress is that one of the "hosts" is British and his "lady partner" is probably the whitest american woman ever, and they both act like they do stuff like this regularly and all of their guests/tenants are always enamored, probably because "participating" in these ads is the only way they get their food, it would sure explain their unbridled enthusiasm.
And I’m about to pass out due to malnutrition of Disney articles.

squee4242 – Dude … thanks for that. I didn’t know Con & Po had been cancelled. I think I’m like one of three people who actually liked that show. I’ll do you one better though. Click here.

To Ragnarok: I once made the Freddy glove. The blades were dull enough to not be functional, but fact is, I made it. And I’m not sorry.
I woke up to go pee and now my cat stole my bed and I can’t go back to sleep. And to make matters worse I missed SNT.

And I just HAD to go play The Sims 2 last night.
I hope that guy’s online tonight too, that can fix the posting issue. I just went to preview my post last night and it told me I was banned!

I once was Freddy for Halloween. However, instead of buying the glove we made one using an old workout glove and cut cardboard into knives and taped them on.
Watched Comic Book, the Movie on DVD last night. It was funny.

Has anyone seen the pics from Transformers? Probably old news, but the fanboys are pissed that Bumblebee will be a new Camero.

I love Comic Book: The Movie.
I had it for a while and watched it frequently, but when I bought a new DVD player, it wouldn’t play for some reason.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted something on one of these threads and I’ve noticed that I’m still ‘roasting chestnuts’ just as I did a while ago! hehe.
Ghosted by Marzipan @ 06/18/2006 1:21 PM EDT
You know all this time I’ve been wondering…….. Is that a fountain pen or a flame reaching to the right to roast chestnuts?
Ghosted by PRSense @ 06/18/2006 2:51 PM EDT
I think it’s a prawn or shrimp of some sort, PRSense. I’m sure there’s a significance I’m forgetting now.
