X-E’s Disney World Adventure – Part 1!

Finally! There was no way I was going to Disney World without writing about it, and after 4,000 hours of labor, here's the first part of my 45 Favorite Disney World Things -- 1-15! You'll see everything from Monorails to Greedo, big bugs, Mickey Mouse and Space Mountain! Three pages worth of SHIT. (I'd intended to make each part of this feature one page, but it's just way too long.) What you'll see is just a random mash of Disney World stuff that moved me while I was there, and a special note for blog readers that isn't mentioned in the article: There's a lot of secret links to movie files, and most of the smaller images can be clicked for larger versions. Disney is worth a bandwidth explosion. Look for Part 2 soon!

I just find all of this delightful because I actually went to Disney a few days after you!

Just wanted to say that the Rod Serling look a like is not a look a like but is really Rod Serling. It was taken along with the audio from and actually Twilight Zone episode. Half of the audio though was done by a Rod Serling impersonator who was picked by his widow to do it. Also if you look closely at the video you can see where they edited out his trademark cigarette that he usually is holding and now he has this weird gap there.

When will that silly rumour about Rod Serling’s cigarette stop. Disney didn’t do anything to Rod’s cigarette. If you actually watch The Twilight Zone, you might notice that Rod doesn’t smoke in EVERY intro. The footage that is seen in the pre-show happens to be from an intro where ROD DIDN’T SMOKE! I know this because I am the Rod Serling voice on both attractions.

I was just reading your review and I have to say I am very happy with what I saw. I worked at Walt Disney World over the summer with my brother so what you had to say (or anybody’s opinion on WDW for that matter) matters a lot to me. I was happy to see both the Polynesian and Kiliamanjaro in the first fifteen. My brother worked in the Boutiki (the major shop in the Polynesian) and I was driver at Kilimanjaro Safaris. On behalf of both of us, thank you.

I understand this is an old post… but I have to say. I live in an appartment development drafted off of the pollynesian village resort. It sucks. And always smells like rotten wood….. thought I would share.
