Haha! I would often play that, and I was writing a similar type of game (only without the ability for it to speak aloud to you). Oh man, it was fun for Dr. Sbaitso to think you were a Werewolf or a Vampire… you say that you drink blood… “Why do you drink blood?” Ahh… good times.

Thank you for your interesting and open article. I’m so glad I’m not the only one that got entertainment out of this. My sister and I would laugh for hours and Dr. Sbaitso’s voice, and make him say stupid things. I’m intrigued that you can get him to talk about Sex. That’s news to me (being that I primarily played the game when I was seven years old…)

Thank you EVEN MORE for posting the program. I will have to get a DOS emulator now for this. Ahh… good times!

No, your NOT! lol This was a great article. I can relate. I was a COMPLETE loner when I was kid. My only companions were the TV and my Video Game systems. That’s it. Of course unlike Matt, I was happy to be alone.

Ran across the SBAITSO program – and your website – while looking for info on it’s well-known companion “Talking Parrot”…oh the wonderful things you randomly stumble across on the Internet.

Downloaded, ran on my XP machine, and laughed myself silly. Will probably stay up part of the night at least having loads of fun with this old program.

For anyone reading this I highly suggest this excellent page (which I ran across just tonight as well) on PC sound card history with an amazing amount of documentation, including the famed “Magic Mushroom” commercial that utilized the PC speaker.
