What kind of lotions do you guys like?

Ahh, Saturday night and SNT. Best place to be on the net.
Lotions? Are you serious?
Spent part of today downloading Belle and Sebastian songs due to the past blog conversation about them…not too shabby.
Now that ‘Goblet of Fire’ , ‘Revenge of the Sith’, and ‘Serenity’ have all come and gone, the ONLY movie I am looking forward to now is ‘X-3′. I am drooling in anticipation…but then, after that movie, there is NOTHING I am looking forward to! Not one movie that I am eager to see, and will count down for. (Superman, kind of. Still mad at Bryan Singer for ditching X-Men) Kind of a bummer.

Ah, lotions…
When I was 13, I implemented this green, floral-smelling lotion in my bathroom adventures with a picture of a woman dressed as Lara Croft…
Good memories.

There are three big movies I’m looking forward to - "Superman Returns," "Casino Royale," and the second "Pirates of the Carribean." I’m a big Superman fan, a big James Bond fan, and a big pirates fan, so just writing all that makes me very happy. Never got into the "X-Men" series (except for Wolverine). Oh, and "Dreamgirls" - it certainly looks like it’ll be less hammy than "The Producers" and the cast is right.

I have some lotion that smells like lemons. I like that smell.

Ghosted by
dohopoki @ 02/18/2006 8:47 PM EST
Yeah, ‘Pirates of the Carribean 2′ should be ok, but I’m not drooling in anticipation…I fear it may be quite similar to the first one, with not much ‘newness’ to it. Still, it’ll be a good chuckle. Johnny Depp is amazing.
X-Men have been a big part of my life since the cartoon that used to come on Fox was on. (late 90’s) I used to watch that after school, and it was WAY better than this X-Men Evolution nonsense that was on YTV recently. I agree with whoever said this on the blog lately: Bring back the OLD Rogue- the southern, sassy Rouge; not the X-Men Evolution version.
So, what are everyone’s plans this evening? Myself- XE + NBA All Star stuff, then out for drinks and pool.

Lotions? Say what?
I’m looking forward to Superman and X-3 as well. Anyone paying attention to the Olympics?
Lotions? Aftershave and suntan mostly.

I’m more appreciative of the citrus variety of lotions. Buffalo wings anyone? Dominos fire wings are so hot I almost couldn’t eat all of them, but they have nothing on Blazin’ B-Dubbs wings
(I can stomach most anything)

Hm. Not too many movies I’m anticipating much at present. I guess the mere fact that I’m a part of X-Entertainment’s Saturday Night Thread means that it should be no surprise that I’ll want to see the next Spider-Man, and much more, the new Ninja Turtles flick. Aside from that…I’m very curious about Idlewild, Outkast’s upcoming rap opera of sorts. That sounds like a neat idea.

I like Jergens or Vaseline Intensive Care. I use Hope in a Jar to moisturize my face which coincidentally is what Oprah uses.
Mmmm…. tonight’s Powerball for PA is a record $365mil. Makes me feel slightly less bad for spending $10 a week on tickets when the jackpot is higher.

CLERKS 2??? Oh my God. That is great. Really? Wow- I hope Kevin Smith doesn’t screw it up by making it with a lot of $$$ and ruining the feel the first one had.
As for the Olympics, Canada suffered a HORRIBLE loss to the SWISS in Men’s hockey! How the hell did this happen?!? THE SWISS!

I devoted a chunk of my afternoon to watching curling and trying to figure out what the hell was going on…otherwise I haven’t followed much of the Games.
Just got back from a Target run. Saw the Mikey version of the Turtles 3 movie pack (his copy plays up his ladykilling attributes versus Raph’s buttkicking ones) but didn’t buy it. I did get a King Kong puzzle that I was overly and vocally thrilled to find in the store. My friend picked up an Exo set of Legos too.
PoTC 2 will be fun and rompy just like the last one. I’ve got my fingers crossed that it will be even better, but I’d settle for anything not terrible. The only other thing I’m really anticipating in the near future is that Clive Owen bank heist movie coming out in May. Something that I noticed this year was that almost all of the movies I was dying to see ended up being underwhelming (Potter, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Narnia), while I ended up really enjoying the ones I didn’t have such high expectations for (basically Kong, but Cinderella Man could fit the category too). So I might try to moderate my expectations a bit ’cause I think I’m setting up to be disappointed.

I just read about clerks 2 in the latest issue of toyfare, it should be a good time.
I finally finished my dagobah diorama, the link to the thread with the images is on my site. The rest of that gets to be put off because I had to buy a new muffler this week. Its funny how parts on your car never seem to break in the summer, only the winter
Clerks 2 can be nothing but garbage.
Smith is just trying to get back in his fans’ good graces after Jersey Girl.
He should just switch to writing comics full time. He does that much better than he makes movies.

I worked 9 hours today on 3 hours of sleep. I got home, showered and a migraine set in.
It’s on it’s way out, but I still feel a lil queasy.
Lotions. I love Curel. Well, for really dry skin, I do. I just bought some of that new Curel with Lavender, oatmeal and chamomile last night. But, for good smellin’ body use, it’s gotta be Bath & Body Works. I have Black Raspberry Vanilla right now, I think. A friend got me it for Christmas.

There’s really no need for a Clerks 2. The cartoon, in all it’s zaniness and lack of faithfulness to the movie was the perfect way to continue it on.
My lemon lotion is the color of lemons. Yellow.

As much as I loved the first Clerks movie and the cartoon series, I’m still looking forward to Clerks 2.

If Clerks 2 is just like both Clerks 1 and the cartoon, life will be golden. Save the feel of the first movie, but Alec Baldwin MUST appear in that sometime as Leonardo Leonardo!
Well, Venture Bros is back on Adult Swim now. And stupid olympics pre-emoting both Conan & SNL…

So my night is goin’ down like dis shawtay. First off ima gonna drink up da rest of my Watermelon-Cherry Kool Aid, which at first was really dissappointing, because it had a lot more watermelon falvor than it did cherry, which i didnt think was right, but as i was sitting at my computer having a glass i realized that it is watermelon-cherry not cherry-watermelon, so the flavor to name ratio is probably about accurate. After the Kool Aid my dad should be getting home from Austrailia, so that will be cool.

BetterThanFew @ 02/18/2006 11:50 PM EST
I forgot to mention that even though i wish there was more cherry, the Watermelon-Cherry is still oen of the best falvors of Kool Aid i have had in awhile.

kidneyboy in da hizzouse!!
lotions…hmmm, well, I like any kind that a girl says "here, try this" and then rubs it on my hand.
Otherwise, at work, I use GoJo Medicated Hand Lotion, it’s not so great, but one of the ladies that I work with, her husband steals it from the paper mill. So it’s free.
Anyone see that issue of Time with the John Waters blurb…he picks a great date movie and it turns out to be "Freeway". He says that if you can get through that with your date, you should be in love. Well, that just happens to be one of my favorite movies, and maybe that means I should take it over to my dates house!

this is a waste of the SNT, so carefully prepared, decanted, and hatched for our use. It’s supposed to be an Alpha thread, but it is seeming more like a Delta Thread, maybe even an Epsilon…:(
oh, another good lotion is Burt’s Bee’s. I like the hand cream, it smells really tasty!

I only use lotion on my hands if they’re chapped, and then I use Cornhusker’s Lotion. For my feet, I somewhat regularly use Burt’s Bees Coconut Foot Lotion.
Anybody else get Season One Volume two of He-Man? I’m slowly working my way through, I’m about halfway through disk two.
Spent yesterday going to a cross stitch shop with a couple of friends. Bought lots of stitchy stuff. So now I’ll be watching He-Man and cross stitching. Good times.

If you go to View Askew, you can see a series of vignettes about the making of Clerks 2. I’ll see it, but ..I don’t know, Kevin Smith just seems like he was the nerdy guy who’s trying too hard to prove that he’s the popular dude now.
I’m looking way more forward to the animated Clerks movie.
I’m tempted to go see Doogal just out of principle because Magic Roundabout was part of Pinwheel. Already getting questions about it.
I have to work alternate weekends, so I’ll probably wait to see it during a weekday afternoon I have off. Less screaming children and so forth.

I enjoyed Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back…weed and monkey jokes aren’t exactly rocket science but are tough to mess up. As for this year’s releases, the ones I remember anyway:
Revenge of the Sith: We’ve already touched on this one, and recently too, so I’ll just say this one had a lot going on for the ladieez.
War of the Worlds: Same as the last one, except replace "something for the ladies" with "that Dakota sure is a cute little moppet".
Wedding Crashers: This was hilarious but full of those plot holes that make it hard to watch again without picking apart. Why wouldn’t Jeremy have his own wedding reception (spoiler ;))?!?
40 Year Old Virgin: Just caught this one recently, as well as finally seeing Freaks and Geeks eps. Judd Apatow really knows dorks. Virgin wasn’t as funny as Crashers but it was a better movie overall.
Sin City: Went and saw this the first time and was just overwhelmed with the awesome. I hear they’re trying to get Angelina for the next one.
Cinderella Man: Group of friends picked this one but I ended up liking it, mainly because it reminded me of how I picture Angela’s Ashes (from the book). There’s nothing revolutionary about it but the cinematography is nice and it’s well acted.
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: :p I think I need to see it again to judge it fairly because I hated it.
Harry Potter: GoF: Meh. It was better than the last one as far as matching the events from the book and the fx were nice.
King Kong: Yeah, I liked it.
I’d still like to catch Brokeback, Capote and Good Night and Good Luck but they all seem like rentals at this point.

As for the Olympics, I watched a women’s ice hockey match last weekend and really liked it. The problem was that all the rest of the matches were played live in the afternoons during the week and I didn’t care enough to tape it for later viewing. I actually really like the Olympics. It’s a chance to see a lot of cool sports you never get to see otherwise.
I know this is really ungirly, but I’m SO not into lotion. I hate the way it makes my hands feel, but I have a ton of it that I’ve received as gifts because "all women love lotion."

I don’t feel Kevin Smith has anything to apologize for in response to Jersey Girl. It was a good movie; not great, and certainly his least movie, but good. With that said, the concept of the movie sounds interesting, and as I’ve loved everything else he’s done, I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt.
I don’t like lotion that smells like food. If I want to smell like food, I’ll rub food all over my body.
I got around to seeing a total of three movies in the theater last year. Nothing I’m too excited about this year, but I may get out to Clerks if it opens near me (it’s getting released Unrated). Maybe X3 if I have time to kill, but I could wait until video.

A local classic rock Radio station by me (102.3 WBAB) did a parody ad last week called "Brokeback Steakhouse" which sounded pretty spot-on like a real ad (even got an australian guy, or someone who could do a great australian accent to do it). The only things I remember from it were these dumb euphamisims (sp?) like "We’ll push in your stool" and the tagline: "No Sheilas, only Helas!"
If its posted on their site, I’d link to it.

I don’t know - I like Kevin Smith movies for what they are, and I love Clerks Uncensored, but it’s not like he’s a genius filmmaker.
Beast Wars figures are at Toys ‘R Us. I went to a grocery near my apartment for the first time and was blown away by how old a lot of the food they had was. Star Wars Ep 3 cereal, multiple Halloween cereals fully stocked like they had just come in, "The Hulk" green instant pudding mix, etc. It was pretty awesome.

Man, now I think I need to run out and find that Tenth anniversary edition of ‘Clerks’ on DVD…anyone seen that lately? Is it still on shelves? And I still love Kevin Smith, despite Jersey Girl. Dogma wasn’t bad, you know- it was actually quite clever. Plus, he has totally redeemed himself in my mind due to his recent appearances on ‘Degrassi High’ up here in Canada. GREAT teen show that used to come on in the 80s/early 90s and is now being redone starring the old teenagers as parents of their OWN teenagers. The older version was much better, but this one has sparked my interest ever since Jay and Silent Bob were on it!
Outback Steakhouse SAVED MY LIFE in Korea…it was so great to be able to go to a good North American restaurant when needed. I was always scared to get the ‘Bloomin’ onion’ though.

The dialogue is hilarious, I admit, but far from natural. Especially in Mallrats, what’s his name…Jeremy London? could not pull off that dialogue.
