Wow, we had a big freeze yesterday and I guess the nads froze off the local server. They just staple’d them back on a few minutes ago. So, Here’s what i tried to post when the service went all widdershins:

The little vignettes after the original special were made because they are showing the full thing again, minus the Coke plugs that were in the first couple of broadcasts. With the length of modern ad breaks, it’s hella-long. More than a half-hour, anyway. The new little skits afterword are culled from the many, many strips Schulz had done during the run of Peanuts. He had a good ear for contempoary slang at one time. Which is where the "freaking out" comment came from. Patty used to use terms like "move your little Mama Cass legs" a lot when she first appeared in the strip.
Now, to think of a Mare anthem….

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever! I’d be totally hugging you over mentioning it too, but I finally discovered its name again a couple weeks back. Every Christmas I would vaguely think about it and try to remember its name, and wonder why it’s not part of the 25 days of christmas TV thing like every other special that’s ever been made. I finally did a search on Amazon for best christmas ever (because I knew it was /something/ like that).
We used to watch that every year at school, and I feel like I read the book too at some point.
I always could really relate to the main girl/narrator of the story, because I always was pretty offended by the bad kids in my classes. It also showed me to cut them a little slack, since it was possible their home lives were just sucky.

Lori and Invater Norbert: I love both of your theme songs too too much, I could hear the Jem one being sung by Jem and the Misfits themselves. Man I couldnt stop laughing!
The best Christmas pagent ever, My evil grade 2 teacher started to read it to us, but early on in the book the word ass (or some swear word) showed up, so my teacher threw it accross the room and mumbled something about it not being a good book. I could never bring myself to reading it after that.
I dont mind if Matt doesnt update everyday, that way I dont fall too far behind!

Holy crap. Anybody been to Mare’s IMDb page? For one, the picture looks EXACTLY like a human Playmobil person. And somebody left a comment on her page’s (surprisingly active) board saying that she’s released an album of folk music. Again, holy crap.

First off let me say brava on the songs! Secondly, for some reason I was singing Carri’s version to the Darkwing Duck theme song instead of Ducktales. I’m not sure why, but it almost worked with very little tweaking. Keep up the good work.

Bah, Humbug! Today starts the official time which I start hating christmas and christmas season. The day it gets too cold for my hands and feet and we get so much snow that doing ANYTHING, except sit around thinking about what I could be doing somewhere with nicer weather, absolutely impossible. If you guys don’t see me during any of the blogs from now on it’s because the ice tore down the electric lines again. Up yours Christmas Season!
