X-Entertainment loves Christmas and will not stop talking about it, ever.

Over the ground, there’s a blah blah of white…

God, I've been so busy that I haven't even been able to officially welcome everyone to X-E's 2005 Christmas Season Extravabloganza, starring Knacks and Kuse and a ton of old holiday commercials. The light at the end of my own personal tunnel is the fact that I get to use up all my vacaca days during the last half of December. That is, unless they suddenly decide that I'm so valuable that even a week out of the office would be enough to crumble Viacom. Let's hope not, because Jesus, they're really treating us this year with the amount of Christmas specials airing on television and I'm getting pretty sick of missing them. Granted, it's happening mostly on cable, but a channel is a channel and so long as those channels are part of my cable plan, I've got a reason to plow through giant cartons of red and green Goldfish crackers in single TV sittings.

The Advent Calendar has been updated for Monday, and shit's really starting to heat up. You must believe me when I say that your guess is as good as mine -- I have no idea where this thing's headed. The Advert Calendar celebrates Christmas the only way it knows how -- with an old commercial featuring Santa Claus doing a pitch for Mattel's handheld electronic games, oh hell yes. While we are still tweaking the 2005 version of the Christmas Jukebox, there's no harm in satiating your Yuletide music appetite with last year's. Thank you Chairy. Here's a breakdown of what we've got so far...

Advent Calendar, 2005
December 1: Knacks and Kuse accept a job offer from Santa Claus.
December 2: A mysterious elf extends a mysterious invitation.
December 3: Knacks and Kuse visit Santa's house.
December 4: An ancient evil rears its ugly squiddy head.
December 5: Wouldn't you like to know.

It's worth noting that you'll have a lot less trouble making sense of this year's Advent Calendar if you read the features from 2003 and 2004.

Advert Calendar, 2005
December 1: The original Post Pebbles Christmas ad.
December 2: Have yourself a merry little Milkbone.
December 3: Suzanne Somers and Santa, BFF.
December 4: You don't just eat, you Underoos.
December 5: Football helmet? What's a football helmet?

It snowed last night. Big, nice snow, too. Yay.

Picked this up a few weeks ago. It still hasn't lost its appeal. Apparently, "Projector Pops" have been around for a while, and they've been popular enough to warrant new holiday-themed editions, including this, the evil infrared death snowman. Works like dees: The top half is a very fruit-scented lollipop, but the bottom half includes this tiiiiiny little window that -- at the push of a button -- shoots sweet Christmas sights on any wall or ceiling. Works in the day, works better at night. Best part is how the lollipop portion lights up all evil like, letting you dine on candy that feels closer to an energon cube.

Survey: What's the one thing you want most for Christmas/whatever this year, and don't be poetic. In related news, I'm whoring it up with my Amazon wishlist.

Alright, as promised I slept on my Christmas greed. Here’s what I’ve come up with:

I want an XBox with the mod from Chinatown that loads it with ROMs of every game from every system up to the 16 bit gen. Also some arcade games.

I think it would also be pretty awesome to have a Master Replicas lightsaber. (The cool green one, not the questionably-oriented blue one.)

Finally, from the no-way-in-hell category, I want the http://www.planetgamecube.com/news.cfm?action=item&id=5102">Master Sword replica from that guy in Scotland. Yeah.
(Someday my preciousss…)

Happy to be here for Christmas Matt! :) Thanks for providing endless Christmas cheer and making my Christmas special.

This year I asked for a tivo. We have one but damn if the boyfriend doesnt take up all the space with smallville and happy tree friends and drawn together etc. Its an 80 hour one and damnit if nothing of mine records!!!! :( I have a sick fetish for the show unwrapped and could watch it every minute of every day. (Im waiting for Marc Summers to use the goofy endings one time to say "physical challenge!")

I want a lot of things for Christmas as I am a greedy little bitch:
1.I want a lot of money so I do not have to work at the shitty bank anymore
2. I want to miraculously graduate college a year early so I can get out of this shitty town
3. If I somehow receive Want#2, I want an English degree to be magically equivalent to something other than a shitty teaching career.
4.Lots of candy and Barbie dolls
5. Fraggle Rock season 2 and Jem dvd set
6.For my other half to let me keep the Christmas lights up all year long.
7. A puppy
8. For my shitty neighbors to move far far away
9. For the insurance adjuster who quit and ran off with my parents insurance claim information on their hurricane damaged house to be caught, tarred, and feathered. And then forced to repair their home barefoot in the nude in the cold all by himself. For free. And if he does a bad job…well, then we let out the hounds.
10. A big bottle of red wine and some cheetos that turn your tongue green, that I do not have to share. :)

And I’d also like for Santa to leave X-E a special treat for keeping us all entertained throughout the holidays.

Oh easy, a Ninteno DS, but I’ll wait until the January slaes if I have to. That’s what X-mas money is for ^_^

Hmm…there’s a lot of stuff that I’d like, including the seasons of Buffy (6) and Angel (2-end) that I’m missing, lots of other movies and music stuff.

I’d also like to replace the pearl ring I bought myself a few years ago, ’cause it looked nice on my hand.

And I want out of my lease so that I can move in with my Boy-o. That’s the main thing I want.

I kinda have been jonesing for a game system, too. I’ve never really had one, but I think it would be cool. *shrug* Then again, it might just be a reason not to finish these last few shudders toward the PhD.

I’m having a bad day. I spilled a full cup of coffee on a coworker’s desk. She and I are having a tough time anyway, stemming from me asking her (with a laugh in my voice, but completely seriously) to stop forwarding me shit (e.g., a woman wearing a dress made out of rainbow-coloured condoms — "Safe Dress"). *sigh*

Geoffinsanity — Yeah, an ‘edit’ button would also kick ass, as I almost never-ever use emoticons and don’t know how that winkie thing got there with the punctuation I was using. Bah.

Add that to my Christmas list.

Oh, and if any of you want to give a water buffalo to a needy family this Christmas, check out this wacky gift catalog:

Heifer International

Show you care. Donate a llama or a trio of rabbits today.

*And don’t get squigged out by the link titled "Inside Heifer." It’s not gross — just boring admin stuff.*

Hey Matt, don’t know if you’re still checking this blog date this late, and I know you’re busy, but I saw this and thought you might be interested:

Liquid Cereal. Comes in cans that look like soda, but the beverage itself isn’t soda-like, so it’s not another Jones soda I think. Tt is basically some liquid that tastes like cereal. Weird concept.

Nice list Matt. What I really want for Christmas this year is the Masters of the Universe Season 1 DVD!

Chestnuts roasted by J-Dog @ 12/05/2005 11:57 AM

My list is all DVDS:
Batman: Animated Series Vol. 2-4
Superman: Animated Series Vol. 2
Fantastic 4
40 Year Old Virgin
Constantine
Sin City Unrated version
Muppet Show Season 1
Night Court Season 1

My overpriced wish list:
a house with a basement (tornadoes)
Nicer car
La Marzocco Linea single group espresso machine (I have a larger one in the coffee shop, but when I want a coffee, I always have to go to work to get it)you can click on my name to see it-all shiny and pretty, I know you all care.
YCDTOTV on dvd
An elliptical machine, cause people at the gym are scary!

I just want to get laid.

Silkenray stole one of mine. Adobe CS would make my year, but it’s not even on my list for obvious reasons. I already know I’m getting satellite radio (well, the receiver, I still have to pay for service) from the father-in-law, which was high on the list, and I think I’m getting a new car stereo from my husband (to ease the installation of the satellite radio, and because my CD player no longer works.) Aside from that, most of what’s left on the list is stuff for the house. I really hate that I’ve gotten old enough that my Chrismtas list is mostly comprised of things like curtains, bedding, tablecloths and chair covers.

By the way, between the old school Pepsi and that wondrous display of early Mattel handhelds, today’s entry on the Advert is my favorite so far. Hands down.

Well I REALLY want a new computer, T.V. for my room and a new photo printer but such things will have to wait until after the holidays, because there’s no way in hell I’m going to Best Buy or any electronics store before Christmas. I’ll go afterwards when everything is real cheap and I can shop in calmness

Mista Snowman back means Cameron is a happy X-E reader!

Chestnuts roasted by Cameron T. @ 12/05/2005 1:15 PM

Woohoo! Mista Snowman has returned! And Miss Snowman, I guess. But I’m gonna be honest, I really don’t care about Miss Snowman. But Mista Snowman! Woohoo!

The thing I really want for Christmas is a quality projector. I have a perfect layout for my new apartment…which just happens to involve one of my living room walls being transformed into a computer monitor/television. But they’re expensive as all hell, so I suppose I’ll go with my traditional standby gifts of two surround sound headphones (damn things always crap out after six months or so, but I love them in the meantime. I love them good) and a stack of books. Any books with a rocket ship or sword on the front, really. Maybe a unicorn, if the title font isn’t pink and cursive.

And, since the holiday season is all about giving: http://www.wmich.edu/medieval/research/rawl/IOE/" target=blank>Merry Christmas, Jessica Marie.

I would like: Cinderella DVD, Phantom of the Opera movie soundtrack, ( to sing along to)
a Conair 5 in 1 hair styler and a Discman.

Chestnuts roasted by Christine @ 12/05/2005 1:49 PM

Materially (is that a word?), I asked for DDR Mario Mix, and… a bunch of stuff I can’t recall, so I guess Christmas will be a surprise.

The main things I want, however are not actual gifts:
1) I want to pass all my college classes this semester,
2) I want my financial aid to come through in time that I can take classes NEXT semester,
3) I want some freaking TIME TO RELAX as I am totally stressed out over trying to pass said classes and obtain said financial aid, and
4) I want my mom’s cousin to not die. He’s really sick with cirrhosis of the liver. I don’t know him well, but I am close to my 91-year-old great aunt who I don’t think will be able to handle losing her son, especially at Christmas. At 91, you’re pretty much walking on thin ice anyway, and I don’t know how much upset she can take. I don’t want to lose two relatives.

So yeah, if all those come true, I won’t give a crap what I find under the tree. Honestly.

Peace on earth
well seriously Simpsons Season 7, Marge head.

*gasp*! Could it be? Another Mara? How did this happen?

Is it just me, or is Matt’s wish list shorter than I’d expected? Granted, most of the stuff on there is pretty expensive, but I was expecting at least 4 or 5 pages…

What I want this year is this: http://www.csbcommodities.com/
I’ve been pining for that thing for over a year, and it’s finally in production! God, it’s so beautiful.
