Amanda Hugginkiss: I was just thinking the same thing.

Only if we’re all very lucky. And half of us are intoxicated.

Lori: You’re right. TGIF was best when it had Full House. Once they started including teenage witches, angels, and aliens, it was over.

I always loved when they had their Saturday Morning Cartoon preview on during TGIF. They showed off all of their new cartoons, as well as some of their old ones. I remember one that was hosted by the ReBoot guy. It was the best of both worlds–TGIF and Saturday morning cartoons. Pure heaven.

Now nothing really seems good on Saturday mornings. I want to think it’s just me growing up, but something tells me the quality really is slipping.

And Cartoon Network doesn’t play old Loony Tunes or Merry Melodies anymore. Looks like it’s time for me to invest in some real, classic TV DVDs for Saturday mornings.

Amanda Hugginkiss? Amanda Hugginkiss? I’m looking for Amanda Hugginkiss. What’s that? Oh, Mike Rotch? Mike Rotch? I’m looking for Mike Rotch. Has anyone seen Mike Rotch?

I always miss Saturday night. :( Stupid work…

Same here, Ryane. You can join me for the Sunday Morning Leftovers though.

I agree with dohopoki’s sentiment of I missed one of the better SNT’s although a lot of it was from INVADER NORBERT or comments about INVADER NORBERT. :)
FINALLY packed up the last of the Halloween stuff and got down the Christmas decorations for the classroom. The real decorating isn’t until the day after T-giving.
I did waste away the weekend with DUEL and REVENGE OF THE CREATURE and THE CREATURE WALKS AMONG US .
Lastly, next History Club meeting is the history of video games. Should be a total treat.

Spot on about Rome, Matt. I don’t even hate the skips and spurts in time so very much, though I wish we’d spend more time on certain things. What really gets me is having to play detective to figure out how much time is passing. I’m guessing these last few eps will be set over shorter timespans, since there’s a lot going on.

I just went into my room to get my minty x-mas m&ms and when I picked up the bag underneath was the last thing of candy corn. Halloween was pretty non-existant were I lived and the only real Halloween I experianced was here on X-e. Man, I hope Christmas, the best day of the year, is more eventful. Maybe I’ll get another scar opening packages again this year.

I miss ReBoot. God I loved that show. I remember that my little brother randomly found the Season 3 episodes on Cartoon Network back when they were new, and we were both like HOLY CRAP IT’S REBOOT! That was one of the best moments of our lives. Realizing a show you loved as a kid and thought was over forever has come back and is still damn cool is one of the best feelings there is.

And mtrox…do you get the Boomerang channel? Because they show Looney Tunes all the time, along with a lot of other awesome older cartoons.

Click my name for the greatest thing ever. I’m serious people. I’m still in shock that humanity could create such a wonderful thing. Make shure that your speakers are all the way up!

Gah, I always miss the Saturday night threads. Boo.

And Nicole, are you the Nicole I know? Because I think you are. Possibly. Heheh.

Chestnuts roasted by Beth @ 11/13/2005 12:56 PM

Darth, that flash thing is hilarious…I’ve seen it before, but it was worth another watch.

And yes Beth, I am the Nicole you know, from HS. God it’s a small world. :)

dogs are cool

Wow…it must be cosmic or something. Yesterday I watched the entire ‘Back to the Future’ trilogy. Today I hop on the blog and am reminded that yesterday was the 50th anniversary of the famous Hill Valley lightning storm! What a coincidence! Cool.

Nicole – Reboot was awesome. I have a Dot Matrix action figure on my desk. It would be so sweet to have it on DVD.

Chestnuts roasted by Jessica Marie @ 11/13/2005 3:00 PM

I loved reboot. I have a little hover tank from the show. It came with a little cube guy officer. It’s one of the tanks that the main villain used. Megabite? His name was something like that. Haven’t seen the show in years.

Chestnuts roasted by Darth Poop @ 11/13/2005 3:38 PM

Well, ReBoot fans…ReBoot is kinda on DVD. You can get the 4th season, which was really just 2 made-for-tv movies, on DVD. And the 3rd season is out on 4 DVDs, but they were discontinued, so they’re hard to find. And neither of those seasons is what we remember of ReBoot from Saturday morning on ABC, but they’re good just the same. The 3rd season was quite the departure from what we were used to, but it managed to hold onto the show’s charm.

I have Dot and Bob action figures lying around in a box somewhere…I had them prominently displayed in my dorm room. And Darth, you’re right, the villian was named Megabyte.

Okay, enough about ReBoot…Matt! Why can’t I find the Nerds Christmas Fun Book anywhere? All I keep finding are lame no-name brand candy ones, LifeSavers ones, and today a Double Bubble one. I must have white Nerds, dammit! :)

Chestnuts roasted by Nicole @ 11/13/2005 4:17 PM

Hahah, I figured it was you. I remember reading stuff in your Livejournal about how you loved X-E. It is a small world. We need to talk more!

RED ALERT!!! RED ALERT!!!
Grinch That Stole X-mas is on Sunday nite @ 7:30 on TBS

Chestnuts roasted by gerv @ 11/13/2005 6:14 PM

I have a confession to make.

ReBoot Sucks.

Chestnuts roasted by dohopoki @ 11/13/2005 6:31 PM

dohopoki, that’s not a confession. That’s an opinion. Silly.

gerv, thanks for the news! I’m so glad I came here so I could know it’s on before it’s too late! Though I did miss Home Alone, which is on right now…dammit.

Everyone, go watch the Grinch!

Chestnuts roasted by Nicole @ 11/13/2005 7:10 PM

Am I the only one who can’t wait until Matt starts with the Christmas stuff again? It’s been like what…four months? I NEED MORE! I love the advent calendars and the commercials and the long lines at the mall…er…well not that last one. But everything else is great. Grinch time in 15! :)

Chestnuts roasted by Nate @ 11/13/2005 7:20 PM

Wow. I read gerv’s hot Grinchy tip like thirty seconds before the show started. Hooray karma!
Aaaaaaaand it’s a commercial now. Boo capitalism.
