Oh, definitely Trick Or Treat. Released in 1986, it stars Skippy from Family Ties as an 80s headbanger who summons an evil demon by playing a heavy metal record backwards. It even features a cameo by Ozzy Osbourne as a bible-thumping minister who rants about the dangers of rock music.

Highly, highly recommended.

For sheer "this is so unwatchable that I can't look away" effect, check out Fever Lake.

It has 23 year old Mario Lopez and 25 year old Corey Haim pretending to be high schoolers. And there's a mystical Indian with plenty of wolf stock footage. If you can make any sense out of it, you are either really smart or extremely sober.

So much to say...
1. Both TARGET and the MARS candy company are doing baby face monsters this year as their Halloween motif. Not sure why but just an observation.
2. I am holding a bag of the German version of Haribo gummi bear called GOLDBAREN in my hands right now. A student gave it to Mrs. Manimal recently. SPOOKY that it should be referenced tonight. The bear is saying, "Die Echten" for anyone who wants to translate.
3. Horror movie off the beaten path recommendation: COMPANY OF WOLVES. Captures the atmosphere of a nightmare fairly well. Not scary but interesting...

Okay, here’s a flick thats not for Halloween but IS in fact terrifying… Howard the Duck… On second thought. Don’t ever watch that. You’ll end up sawing your testicles off before it’s over. Anyways, a serious suggestion… Go with Bubba-Ho-Tep. Can’t go wrong with old Elvis and Black JFK fighting a mummy in a nursing home.
