So Matt, can you give us a hint to what the first Halloween article will be?

Just saw "Nightmare on Elm Street Part III" for the first time last night. Now I can’t stop saying "Welcome to Prime Time, bitch!" and "In my dreams, I’m beautiful – and BAD!" People are going to start getting mad at me real soon.
Wow, a first timer for Dream Warriors? I love that one.
Juggalo: NO! But I can tell you that we’ll be starting with more than one.

I’m really excited to see everyones drawings for the contest, I hope mine gets a least shown, I worked hard on it and someone needs to see my work besides my Hubby and Matt.
Hey, is anyone out there a Columbo fan?? Just asking, I have season 1 and 2 on DVD and Ive been watching them to past time time latley and I need to find someone who shares my guilty pleasure
I wish I had one iota of good artistic capabilities in my bones so I could enter the contest. Have a pretty neat idea too. Oh well. Can’t wait for Halloween to come around. Only time of the year I start to feel like a little kid again, only I can’t go trick-or-treating anymore. Dammit. Thinking of throwing a costume party this year. I need to have my annual horror movie marathon also. God, I can’t wait.

Yowsah! I’ve never been to the Sat. night thread this early before.
Anyhoo, this is my first Halloween w/o a boyfriend in 10 years. Any suggestions on what to do now that I won’t be hiding in the house watching tv in the dark like the past decade-worth of Halloweens?
Peter Falk is definitely one of the coolest old dudes ever. His performance (and Alan Arkin’s) in The In-Laws is golden! Please, someone out there agree with me so I know that people still enjoy good movies.

I’d jump at the chance to be Shredder if I was you. Speaking of TMNT, I picked up the first two volumes of the orignal cartoons on DVD. Didn’t realize how I missed that show until I started watching the DVDs.

Last weekend I was out in LA having a blast, watching Wedding Crashers and spending too much money at The Cheesecake Factory. This weekend I’m sitting inside on a Saturday night, doing nothing. Boring. Maybe I’ll put Dream Warriors on later for the hell of it.

DISGRUNTLED SPAM-I know how you feel. I tried to draw one of my ideas which is WAY TOO ELABORATE for my limited art skills. We’ll see.
MATT-Like to thank you for making that "awful music" from Castle Dracula available. I downloaded and used it as part of my lesson on the lost Roanoke Colony (for those who want to know more, click my name) and it went over really well. I told the kids that I was going to tell them a ghost story (which is partially true):)Looking forward to the F13 III music. The first GHOULIES music would also make a nice addition (if you have the desire to do so…)
Went to TARGET today and they had some of their Halloween stuff out. I thought of Squee and other Misties when I bought THE BRAIN THAT WOULDNT DIE and the BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS for a dollar (for both!), some scary classical music, confetti (?), a skeleton PEZ dispenser, and a rubber ball with maggots and blood on the inside. Quality.
Getting very excited. I am decorating the classroom week after next!
I’ve never really watched Columbo, but I thought it was just an ordinary TV show; can anybody explain the really strange listing for it on IMDB?

Eh – just one more thing…
Peter Fauk was good in The Princess Bride.
/yes, that was lame

Thanks Warx. I knew it was Bach but I couldn’t remember which composition.
Has it already been posted that Admiral Ozzel died awhile back? If not, he did. If so, sorry to be so late (clam chowdah)

Hey Manimal, do you live in Connecticut by chance?
Oh phew. I had some Game Stop vouchers that I was trying to sell for cash the other day, and posted at the Cheap Ass Gamers forum. Some guy calling himself "Manimal" gave me shit about not really discounting the credit that much ($83.60 that I was selling for $75 – so shoot me), and I responded by telling him to eat shit, which I’d be happy to provide. Then I thought, "Oh damn, maybe that was THE Manimal." His profile says he’s from CT. If it had been you I probably would have disappeared for a while.
Kyle, Figure four leglock
The wrestler using this move stands over the opponent who is lying on the mat, face up and grasps a leg of the victim. The wrestler then places their leg in between their opponent’s legs, turns 180 degrees over the leg and grasps the other leg, crossing them as he does so and falls to the mat, applying pressure to the opponent’s crossed legs with his own.
This move was made popular as the finishing move of all of the Nature Boys (Ric Flair, Buddy Rogers etc.) It was also used by Greg "The Hammer" Valentine and Jeff Jarrett.

How did I know it would be a wrestling thing? My parents refused to allow me to watch wrestling as a child, and it has resulted in mildly awkward social situations throughout my life.
Somewhat funny story: On my 10th birthday, I decided on a plan of action. I would ask for wrestling figures. When I got them, I could argue that their purchasing the toys would constitute their agreement that wrestling wasn’t all that bad, and then they’d let me watch it.
Did it work? Nope. And not only that, but I think they purposely kicked sand in my face by purchasing only the wrestling ring and one figure – Jake the Snake. So throughout the year I was forced to make Jake fight the Snake. The Snake usually won.
On a related note, I just heard "I am a real American" for the first time ever about 3 weeks ago. When a friend of mine started singing it, I asked what the hell that was about, and he looked at me like I’d just pissed rainbows in bags of Skittles and sold them to kids.
My parents were jerks.
holy fuck, spend a couple months not touching computers and x-e’s got another contest. I was planning on going and getting nice and shitfaced tonight, @ my steady girl’s birthday no less…but I’m seriously thinking I should start working to make that deadline…4 days……what can I do in 4 days! Perhaps it should be something racy….Freddy in a corsett and thigh high stockings?

Hey Gozer, whats strange about the listings on IMDB? But yeah I love him in the Princess Bride, thats one of my favorite movies of all time:D Also I believe my hubby and I bought The In-laws movie but we havent watched it yet

Dokken’s Dream Warriors music video would be a welcome addition to last years Alice Cooper Man Behind the Mask video.
Another Idea: A review of all the Halloween Little Debbies. My Fav are the Pumpkin Filled cookies.
I went to Taco Bell the other day and tried their exclusive Baja Blast Mountain Dew. Tasted like a combination of MD and Lime Kool-Aid. Wasn’t bad but Pitch Black 2 ROCKS.

Hmmm. Just sitting here getting wasted on Vodka, reading the posts. Never heard "real American"? Let me tell you something brother – Drink more vodka, eat taco bell and drink old Kool-aid!

I just finished watching "Night of the Creeps" Wow. That would’ve been a good X-E Saturday night thread movie.

George Bush is an asshole.
Ghosted by phunqsauce @ 09/10/2005 11:49 PM EDT
Of course. We’re all trying to have fun, talk about wrestling, talk about Nightmare on Elm Street 3, and tell stories about Taco Bell, and someone has to bash President Bush. I’m not saying which side of the fence I sit on politically, but the idea is to have fun, not get political… Brother!!!
Ghosted by Bludge @ 09/11/2005 12:00 PM EDT
Well you know Mean Gene, there’s a lot of talk about how our president is an asshole, dude. Let me tell you something brother! All the Hulkamaniacs don’t like when a pencilneck geek talks bad about the president of the greatest nation in the world, brother! This skinny little poindexter dude better say his prayers and take his vitamins, brother! Cause whatcha gonna do brother? Whatcha gonna do when these 26 inch pythons, the red, white, and blue, and Hulkmania run wild on you!!!
Not a Bush supporter, just figured it’d be fun to write a Hogan promo and I figure that’s what he’d say.

disgruntled: that was hilarious!!

Anyone see that infomercial for that natural cures book by Kevin Trudeau? That guy is a friggin nutcase!!!!!!!!
Ghosted by phunqsauce @ 09/11/2005 12:36 PM EDT
Thanks phunqsauce. Anything to put a little humor into the night.

IHAQ my mom is fan of that show. I can’t really get into it’s too outdated for me.
I have only 1 wrestling figure now, John Cena. I haven’t had the time or money to get a new one. He wrestles silly things like my Kimberly figure and pikachu. :p
Ghosted by pikachulover @ 09/11/2005 12:46 PM EDT
He claims to have the cure for different kinds of cancer in his book. I’m sure the way he words it makes it legal for him to say this because it probably more of a guide to proper nutrition or something. I don’t know…click on the link on my name and watch the infomercials….
That guy (Trudeau) is a nutcase. Anything for a buck.

Holy Crap Kyle, first you’ve never seen "Bogus Journey" and now you didn’t watch wresting as a kid? If your skittles reference wasn’t so damn funny, I’d rip you a little more. Next thing you know, you’re going to tell us that you’ve never seen the Garbage Pail Kids movie.
As for you Disgruntled – that was freakin’ perfect. Thanks for the laughs everyone.
Click on my name to see the finest local late night commercial ever. It is for Norton Furniture and features Marc Brown and a lot of strange statues that he actually has in his store!!!
I got nothin’ to say tonight, other than I better get working on my Art Contest entry before Matt sees his eleven-billionth "movie monster in awkward situation" drawing and gets tired of the joke, thereby finding no more of them funny.
Anybody seen that infomercial that’s making the rounds now with Erik Estrada trying to sell you on buying property at Hot Springs Village, Arkansas? It’s hilarious.
"And it’s only 5 miles away from being as big as San, Fran, SIS-co!"

I’d tell ya what I’m going as this Halloween, but I’m certain it’ll be a survey. And you guys could guess so easily
