My dying wish is for an owl/camel hybrid, which I call camowl.

Just another manic Sunday.

Ahh! I passed out from over-wineage early yesterday. We'll have to do our next Saturday Night Thread next Saturday night, yeah. Meantime, here's the All Day Sunday Buffet Super Special Thread. I'm trying to make up for it, see?

I hate sunday because it normally means school the next day [fortunately it's still summer] and also my family eats macaroni every sunday. I hate macaroni. So I basically starve on Sundays. That sounded poignantly religious. :-O

Like everyone else here, Sunday is my least favorite day of the week. At least I’m in kind of this weird space where it’s summer, and I just moved back to New Orleans and into an off campus apartment (first home that doesn’t involve mom, yay and scary at the same time) so it being Sunday doesn’t register as much. Besides, I have all this shiny new stuff like dishes and curtains and a vacuum to play with.

Matt, this is completely off topic, but I read your atlantic city article, and was wondering 1: when lodgenet changed their logos, 2: If lodgenet still has that computer voice saying "Welcome to atlaaantic city, we hope you enjoy your stay with us," and on the off chance you know this, 3: did harrah*s get rid of their gameroom?
Thanks – - Joe

DashiKun,

Welcome to the fold. Who needs lessons? Forget that remark, I still play like crap. My heroes are Mark Hoppus and Erik from Bowling for Soup, so what does that tell you? What did ya get? I play a lefty Squier Pbass, pretty standard (i.e. plain). :P

The posts at noon and before noon confuse me. How is it possible? Anyway, does anybody know of the link to the guy’s website (a domain) He has articles of obsure stuff like a lot of people, but the funniest thing he had was bootleg toys that he made fun of. He had a toy piano with pikachu and hello kitty on it, with engrish on the box. Does it ring a bell? I hope so I have been trying to find it forever it seems like again to read the stupid thing. Thanks in advance.

I LOVE SUNDAYS!!! :D I would shout this from rooftops if I wasn’t so scared of heights…

Why? It’s the only day that I KNOW I’ll have off work.

The only (very) minorly shitty part about Sundays is that stores aren’t open until their normal times. But hey I can work with that. :P

Chestnuts roasted by Ryane @ 08/22/2005 1:05 AM

Sunday is a pretty crappy day. Nothing at all good on television, everybody’s getting ready to go back to school or work. Saturday is better. Friday is even better.

That’s some crazy ass shit going on with Natasha Lyonne, eh?

I mean, I knew the girl partied but DAMN. I hope she’ll be alright and I hope she gets some help.

Goob, the website you’re talking about is http://www.bootlegactionfigures.com/

I suddenly have a craving for fried seafood, as I’m thinking of a Travel Channel show that mentioned the ACME Oyster House and saw it had a fried seafood platter, that and I ate at one of my favorite restaurants last night, Pier 44 here on LI, where I got both surf (fried calamari for appeatizer) and turf (cheap, delicious Baby Back ribs), which caused me to experience (as always when I eat there) what Chappelle’s Show has called "Mud Butt."

And I know it’s august but I will send you free money to whomever sends me a fresh box of either Frankenberry and/or Boo Berry.

Send it to: Happy Dude, 742 Evergreen Terrace, Springfield

I know this is really random but did anyone else put Fruit Roll-Ups in the freezer before they ate them??

Chestnuts roasted by phunqsauce @ 08/22/2005 2:41 AM

Nope none of those are the website I am looking for. Bootlegactionfigures.com I found that one trying to find the one I am looking for. He talked about the back of the box in detail, made fun of it in detail, had pics of the store even. I found it in somebody’s name in the blog, and I know it was a domain cause that is all I click on. Unless the person sounds like a hot chick ‘drools’ hehe….thanks anyway

I was poking around some obscure corner of the net last night and found a sound clip that I knew my pals here would love. its from a vintage NES Zelda commercial I assume it was recorded from a TV commercial but its not the one in the 80′s ad section.

For the sake of simplicity I stuck the link in the homepage field of my post. Anyways enjoy! now I’m gonna go back to trying to figure out why my chest feels like I went 3 rounds with Bald Bull >_< I prolly just smoked waaaaaaaay too much last night

Picked up a big bag o’ Splenda at the market yesterday to make Kool-Aid. Guess what was with the bag? A Kool-Aid spoon with his face on the spoon and 2 free packs of Kool-Aid. Very Cool!

Ahhh, Sunday- Trying desperately to get done all the productive things I skipped on Friday and Saturday in favor of party-ing. Sunday is Regret Day.
MANIMAL: I start teaching this Wednesday (the 24th). I am so nervous that I wish I had stayed in Korea!
So, can anyone tell me what happened on SUMMERSLAM? 80sKid?

Chestnuts roasted by Muppet Baby @ 08/22/2005 11:30 AM

Splenda and Kool-Aid Man?!?! An unholy alliance forged in the depths of hell, Splenda will charm Kool-Aid Man into a lull of trust and comfort, with promises of the lesser calories, and the diabetes-friendliness…but then, oh then, Splenda will unleash the evil power of Bad Aftertaste!!! The horror, the vile, unmerciless torture of chemical over- and under-tones!! OH! Too much for Kool-Aid Man, he turns his back on Splenda, "Farewell, vile powder which should never be mixed with my own powder! Farewell."

Chestnuts roasted by kidneyboy @ 08/22/2005 11:34 AM

kidneyboy,
you’ve made me terrified of the lesser calorie drinks. . . for life.

Chestnuts roasted by kb @ 08/22/2005 11:57 AM

A few months ago I thought I’d try some 7-Up Plus, not noticing that the "Plus" meant that it was made with Splenda instead of good old fashioned sugar. Big mistake; it was pretty gross.

The whole commercial for that Zelda thing can be found here: http://hyena.kiwibonga.com/evcrit/zeldac.htm

Hey Yeti,

I hate you too.

Chestnuts roasted by Jesus @ 08/22/2005 1:50 PM

Yeah, I always figured as much.

Chestnuts roasted by The Yeti @ 08/22/2005 2:00 PM

Oh come one, give Splenda a break. After all it is sugar that’s been chlorinated.
