My dying wish is for an owl/camel hybrid, which I call camowl.

Wal-Mart Receipt.

Those of you who read my "I'm bored" post on Saturday night know that we were...well, bored. And what better way for a true socialite to cure boredom than find any still-open store in the area to blow money on completely worthless crap? I've still been sporadically trying to gather a complete collection of the Revenge of the Sith action figures, and for that effort, at least I found a Destroyer Droid. The last one in the store. I shared the aisle with two other guys also too old to be there but shameless all the same, and they pretty much followed me around for an hour waiting to see if I decided against the purchase. Sorry suckers. Still haven't seen a single damn Royal Guard in stores since the line debuted. I refuse to buy one from a dealer on eBay or elsewhere -- I refuse to believe that there will never be a red Royal Guard in a store I have access to. Life is too easy for it to be that hard. The search continues. No real point to this post, I just wanted to archive my stupid Wal-Mart receipt for posterity's sake.

Behold the new great american past time: Going to the 24 hours walmart and looking for stuff or other weird things. Thanks for making me feel that much more better!

I know whatcha mean about scouring some store late at night cuz ur bored. I think I may hafta walk on over to the local grocery store. The reason why I say "walk" is because I don’t have a car. Furthermore, I’ll hafta make an effort not to wake up my parents, whom I am sadly living with for now. I’m 24. I’m a loser.

What kind of stickers did you get?

Chestnuts roasted by Joss @ 06/07/2005 1:13 AM

Just to make everyone hate me, I happen to have 21 Clonetroopers. No, not all of them are opened- I’m saving most of them until after I’ve designed the custom unit decals for them.

Also, the Republic Gunship is absolutely badass. The wingspan’s practically as wide as the motherloving Millenium Falcon.

1. Walmart is awesome when you are bored. Its THE place to be at 2 am! Not only is it THE place to be, its the ONLY place to be, since everything else is closed.

2. I know exactly how you feel about ebay. I refuse to use ebay because it makes it all to..I don’t know, cheap. I rather find something myself somewhere and feel victorious..like I conquered the world! For example, I am in search of one of those white plastic kool-aid pitchers, well there is like 100000000000 of them on ebay, but wtf? Shouldn’t there be a better and more satisfying way of getting one?
There should be, but not a single one exsists in vegas, nor does anyone I know ever see one, but one day..one day i friggin tell you I will get it.

Oh, by the way, I don’t know what the case distribution of the Royal Guards are (I think it’s a 1/1 ratio between the red and blue ones), but since only one of them comes per case anyways… you only see the red one every 2 cases. And everyone loves the red ones. I feel stupid for not getting the only red one I ever saw, but to my defense, this was the same day I bought about $60 worth of Clonetroopers.

First glance at the receipt, I was like: "They made a model kit of Fisto from He-man!?"

Man, can I relate to this. I’m so desperately board (and like Nate I live with my parents and have no car), that it get’s to the point where if my Mother goes to the grocery store, I desperately want to go along just to get out of the house for a few minutes. :(

I need to get some publicity for my site. That would solve a couple problems.

BTW Matt, I still have that tape of three bad movies I could send you if you want.

Jeff:

I played HOURS of Tie Fighter when it first came out. I had X-Wing, too, but TIE Fighter was the one that I loved. Something cool about flying for the "Bad Guys"

In those early 3-d game days, that game really sucked me in.

I bought it on PC cdrom again about two years ago, and it was fun for awhile, but then I lost interest.

Never again has there been a flight sim that I enjoyed so much…

Is this what you’re looking for Matt?

I can’t wait to see what all of these collected SW figures are up to in the coming months. Maybe they’ll send Ralphie back to Hell? Maybe they’ll buy themselves some Spongebob painted hermit crabs? Maybe they’ll eat some NADS?

Chestnuts roasted by trajeal @ 06/07/2005 8:37 AM

Oh, yeah, did you go visit the crazy jellyfish convention on LI? It was all the rage.

Chestnuts roasted by trajeal @ 06/07/2005 8:39 AM

Still haven’t seen a red Royal Guard either. Did see the new Spider and Crab droid though.
Haven’t been to BK yet this summer but I am planning a trip. WAL-MART and WAFFLE HOUSE: You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villany…at 3 AM.

Chestnuts roasted by The Manimal @ 06/07/2005 8:49 AM

No WalMarts here, thank X, but we have shitloads of independent toy stores on my street alone. Personally, I want the huge-ass Millenium Falcon LEGO set I saw when I was picking up that Dora the Explorer LEGO set for my cousin. Of course, since I don’t have a large spare wad of green to blow, I’ll probably have to settle for the $5 little Emperor’s runabout thingee. But, you know, I can imagine that there’s a red Royal Guard inside it. . . .

Really. Crystal Lite? Seriously.

It’s just iced tea mix, let’s not get out the giant cross just yet.

Crystal Light…half the calories and none of the guilt as your usual Crystal. Tweak all week with Crystal Light!

The wood background seems to load a tad slower than the previous bg.

Chestnuts roasted by kidneyboy @ 06/07/2005 11:04 AM

on the right side it looks like a puppy..

Chestnuts roasted by aj @ 06/07/2005 11:12 AM

The wood loads up right quick on this here blue gumdrop. The true cure for combined boredom/need to buy useless crap is the Flea Market. Of course, as far as I know, there is no such thing as a 24-hour flea market, so late night crap purchases are not yet possible. Unless you go to one of those giant neon truckstop complexes along your local superhighway. Then, it’s expensive and useless crap purchasing.

You know, in some circles, we would be looked upon as freaks and ne’er-do-wells for pouring over a reciept like the rosetta stone.

But here, oh it feels like home =)

Alright, I’ll take one for team to clear up the last mystery (besides the stickers):

So what kind of Kool Aid did ya get?

Chestnuts roasted by Knegative @ 06/07/2005 12:08 PM

Kind(s) of Kool Aid, notice the two different item numbers.

Okay this IS kinda sad.

Chestnuts roasted by Knegative @ 06/07/2005 12:10 PM

Hey Knegative! Why so…oh never mind, too easy.
I’m at work. What else is there to do?

Chestnuts roasted by jhnnywalkr @ 06/07/2005 12:25 PM

Bilmarie Broco? Is that a real name?
