Yeah I know I posted this in the previous thread but i think people should check the similarities to the feelings expressed about ROTJ in 1983 and ROTS in 2005. Plus its kinda cool to see a newsgroup that was made in 1983 as well....

Yeah, i saw it last night and i thought it was actually really good compared to the last 2. I was expecting it to kinda suck though, so maybe going in with no expectations was good. I enjoyed vader's torso getting toasted. The part that sucked the most about it was the scene where vader gets built. it was cool until he goes 'NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO'!, cause it was so horribly done it actually made me laugh out loud.

well, it's the general feeling everywhere I suppose...
It's better than the first two episodes but still not even close to the original trilogy...

Excluding the typical flaws I liked the flick quite a lot.
Went to the theater dressed up as Vader and was as blue as a rotten cheese can be...So I got cool response on many parts. I loved Ewan McGregor's performance and hated the shrieks of Mace Windu when the general feeling is that, in Star Wars, people who get severed body parts tend to accept it without much fuss about it.

well, what can we do...I'll have to watch it millions of times until I have no option but to say that I simply love it...i'm a Star Wars fan, what else can I do!

**sighs**
I gotta say, I liked the movie _much_ more than I thought I would. The fact that Anakin and Padme act much more natural helped immensely. Also, Matt, I agree about the Order 66 sequence, it gave me chills! As did the very end of the movie, the creation of the Vader we all know and love was very well done. Overall, the movie is a tragedy in the classical sense, and I like that in a film. Too many movie cop out for the smarmy, feel-good ending. That is all I have to say!
