I’m seeing it at 4:00 p.m. today. I think it’ll be awesome. I read the book and really liked the story, and the reviews I’ve read said that the visuals are breathtaking, so the combination of the two could be awesome.

Amazingly, it’s really close to the book and they leave VERY little out (even the really gruesome scenes I thought they wouldn’t show. Not that I’m complaining, mind you). Dialogue isn’t that bad; much better than the first two and a lot better than a lot of the critics make it out to be, but still short of the original trilogy. Alas, I wept when Mace met his end (Bad muthafucka, no longer is he).

it’s funny, so much of it is cgi, but it’s amazingly well done. the effects/environment/characters are all really well done. that, and the story wasn’t bad at all. overall, very fun to watch.

I’m going to wait ’til next week to see it, too. Not only do I have a test and essay to work on this weekend, but when I go during the opening week of a blockbuster I always get seated next to the one Comic Book Store Guy in the whole crowded theater who nitpicks the movie loudly. Sometimes that Darth Vader neck-chokey Dark Side force would come in handy, no?
