Mooshagaloogapork.

I’ve only recently started watching Carnivale (by recently, I mean as in the week before the season finale), but I spent a day out sick from work yesterday sitting through the entire second season. In what began as an attempt to stay awake for an afternoon conference call that couldn’t be missed, I passed on all the rest my fever was begging for to watch an awesome midget get a rubdown from a scorpion lady, among other things, I guess for thirteen hours straight.

What a fantastic show, I can’t believe I stubbornly passed on watching it all this time. I won’t bother detailing it, but I’d say watching any two successive episodes would turn just about anyone into a fan. Give it a shot.

I’m back at work now, feeling very clammy and as if I shouldn’t cough on anyone. On the plus side, the giant Toys ‘R’ Us across the street had an equivalently giant street sign showing an M&M character in a Darth Vader costume. I couldn’t make sense of it during the groggy walk to my building, but all signs point to a TRU run during my lunch break. I wonder if I can land myself a Darth Tater.

Okay, I better get to work before Dora bursts through the wall and yells at me for setting a bad example. Might as well do a

Survey: Totally lame one, but why not? Name it. Name your favorite Simpsons episode evahhh.

Dammit, Mitch, why couldn’t it have been lupus?

Tetsu, Carnivale Season 1 is out on DVD now; hopefully Season 2 will be available soon.

Anything that had Conan O’Brien involved was really good.

Miss those days where the characters always had weird thought bubbles popping out during the episodes, cracked me up :D

All my favorites have been mentioned already, but this is the line that makes me laugh the hardest:

Ranier Wolfcastle doing stand-up!

"Why do men alwayz leave da toilet seat oooooop? Dat’s da joke."
"YOU SUCK MACBAIN!!"
*R.W. tosses grenade at hecker and blows him up*
"Now my Woody Allen imprezzion. I am a hopeless neurotic who sleepz with leetle girlz."
"YOU’RE TERRIBLE!"
*R.W. fires 1,000 machine gun rounds into the audience*
"The film is jost me up dair talking for an hour and a half. It cost ninety meelion dollarz."
Jay: "How do you sleep at night?"
RW: "On top of a pile of money, with many beautiful ladiez."
Jay: "JUST asking."

"My new movie is a mix of action and comedy. It’s called ‘McBain: Let’s Get Silly’."

I’m a bit late coming into this but what the heck…
The funniest one is the one where the Simpsons move to that houseboat as an attempt to escape Sideshow Bob.
But my favourite is the episode with the Lemontree. It’s just cool to see how people so similar can still be enemies.

"Zee goggles….zay do nothing!!"

Marge’s love letter from Homer: "Maybe it’s the beer talking, Marge, but you got a butt that won’t quit….they got these giant pretzels here that blargblahblaaaaa……5 DOLLARS? Get outta here!"

The Flanders try to out run Homer in their car:
"Faster Neddy, Faster!"
"I can’t- it’s a GEO!"

Hi I’m Troy McClure. You might remember me from such films as Christmas Ape and Christmas Ape Goes to Summer Camp…. Priceless

I like the one where Homer becomes an inadvertant missionary (help me JEEBUS), although the ending is a little weak.

My all-time favorite one though is when he sees his face on a box of Japanese detergent and goes to Japan and Bart meets a girl who is playing that dancing arcade game.

I also like it when Homer hoards and falls in love with the gigantic pile of sugar :)

The all time best episode (in my opinion) is one nobody has mentioned yet – ‘The Boy Who Knew Too Much.’ AKA. The Freddy Quimby episode.

"It’s Chowdah! Chowdah! I’ll kill you! I’ll kill all of you! Especially those of you in the jury!"

Homer: "They’re the suckiest bunch of sucks that ever sucked….gotta go, my damn weiner kids are listening."

Also, love the episode where Homer gets the helper monkey (mojo) & is playing with the little computer speller thingum: "Ha-o-ma-e-er".

You’re getting The Simpsons confused with King of the Hill. Homer didn’t go to Japan as a result of Mr. Sparkle…he did in a later episode, but what you’re describing with the DDR game is something Bobby Hill did.

Smither’s computer:

Mr. Burns: "Hello-Smithers-you-are-quite-good-at-turning-me-on."

Smithers: You really should ignore that.

"Let’s just say it moved me…TO A BIGGER HOUSE! Oops, I said the quiet part loud and the loud part quiet."

This is probably about dead but since so many people qouted their favorite lines I had to run this one by when I saw no one mentioned it.

Marge: Have you noticed something about Bart?
Homer: New glasses?
Marge: It seems like something could be troubling him.
Homer: Probably misses his old glasses.
Marge: I want to get more involved in Bart’s activities, but then I’d be afraid of smothering him.
Homer: Yeah, then we’d get the chair.
Marge: That’s not what i mean’t Homer.
Homer: It was Marge, admit it.

My favorite Simpson’s episode definitely has to be the one where Bart wants to be a daredevil. He wants to jump the Springfield Gorge(?) and Homer actually ends up doing it (unsuccessfully). Homer falling down the gorge (twice!) is some funny %$#*!!!

My favorite, if I must pick only one, is "You Only Move Twice," in which Homer moves the family upstate for his new job with the Globex corporation. Little does he know his friendly new boss is a fucking supervillain. I don’t know if I’ve ever laughed harder than I did when Homer gets James Bond shot.

He’s getting events from KOTH mixed up with the Simpsons, but there actually was a Simpsons episode where Homer sees his face on the box of Japanese detergent. It was in the episode "In MArge We Trust," where Marge takes up counseling at the church, becoming extrememely popular. This leads Reverend Lovejoy to a crisis of faith, and questioning his own worth. In the b story, Homer tries to find out why his face is on the damn box. It was a really good episode; Lovejoy winds up rescuing Ned Flanders from a mob of angry apes. The sermon that following Sunday is titled "Conquest of the County of the Apes." Always makes me chuckle. :)

"My only outlet is my ham radio."
"Ich habe einen Schinkenradio. I HAVE A HAM RADIO"

"Gentlemen…to evil."

"You think Aerosmith will be in tonight?"
"I doubt it."

"Moochin war widows!"

"Sorry we need the outlet for our rock tumbler."
"PLUG IT IN! PLUG IT IN!"
"What, the rock tumbler or the TV?"
"THE TV! THE TV!"
"-atchy Showwwwww. WOW! They’ll never let us show that again! Not in a million years!!! HAHAHHA"

"Homer I think I found someone who can help you!"
"Batman?"
"No, he’s a scientist!"
"..Batman’s a scientist."
"It’s not Batman!"

"Hi Lisa! Hi Super Nintendo Chalmers!"

"How did you get past Gary Coleman?"
"Let’s just say he’s a few prawns short of a galaxy."

"Once again a knife wielding maniac has showed us the way."

"Mr. Simpson! Please pay for your purchases and get out and Come Again!"

"Anybody else like a taste of banality?"

"I said step pause turn pause pivot step step! Not step pause turn pause pivot step PAUSE! Oh shudder!"

"Whooo Sensory Deprivation kicks ass!"

Just a few…
