I like Catylyst by Simple Plan but I hate bands like them. In one of my classes this girl said she was the girlfriend of the lead singer from Good Charlotte. She was hot though so everyone would believe her but not behind her back. I like a few songs from Green Day especially Bolavard of Broken Dreams latly becuase its gonna be on the Batman Begins soundtrack. As for Faith I always liked it alot better when that other fag sang it.

How Do I Live by Trisha Yearwood. I can’t believe I’m admitting that.

Ghosted by squee4242 @ 03/14/2005 10:33 PM EST

Gotta say the Dukes of Hazzard theme song by Waylon Jennings. I usually can’t stand any country music.

By the way, Shakira is supposed to have a new album out in "early 2005". Her early stuff is sublime (i.e. "Pies Descalzos" ).

NO…no Britney here…not even one single tune…

buuuuut there’s this Anastacia – Left outside alone, which I repeteadly slap myself every morning for liking and singing it while the rest of mortals look down at me and laugh…sniff

Ok a lot of people like this group, but Radiohead. I really like their song "Optomistic". I can not listen to anything else by that band.

Aqua – Halloween :(

Heard it via my buddy’s little sister and now listen to it constantly during the Halloween season (January-November)

Ace of Base – The Sign

Words cannot describe how much I hate and yet love that song. I hate it until I hear it, then I love it. When the song stops, I hate it again.

Ghosted by Grey Weirdo @ 03/15/2005 1:57 AM EST

I fuckin’ hate Journey, but there is no way in hell that you can tell me that "Don’t Stop Believing" isn’t one of the best songs ever.

That shit rocks my mothereffin’ world!

Totally, waaay off topic, but I know Matt’s shown some old-school wrestling love. Tonight on Raw, there was a Jake The Snake appearance and a tag team win by THE ROCKERS. Awesome stuff.

And on topic, Phil Collins and "Against All Odds", but that’s just since I’ve heard the Postal Service remake of it.

Ghosted by Andy @ 03/15/2005 3:43 AM EST

For me, that’d be S Club 7. I can’t stand them, but Ican’t quite get over the uppity goodness of their hit "Bring it All Back." This song is the reason why I stayed in university.

Ghosted by Nate @ 03/15/2005 4:23 AM EST

OK…time to totally embarress myself. I despise Jennifer Lopez…despise her. For years, I have said how devoid of talent she is…I mean, shes beautiful and that ass…damn…but I have hated everything that has come out of her mouth…

And now…this "Get Right" song comes out…and everytime I hear it, I like it more and more…yeah, so what? So I like a Jennifer Lopez song…so?

Ghosted by Goody @ 03/15/2005 8:32 AM EST

I hate Stone Temple Pilots, but I can’t help liking "Big Empty" from the Crow sndtk. I’m getting old enough that nostalgia is enough to make me rethink my old musical prejudices…

Ghosted by devin @ 03/15/2005 8:57 AM EST

Pedro! My brother from another mother! You just made my morning. "Each is sold seperately, with rifle and gear. When trouble’s around, you know the A-Team’s here!"
And this really was a great poll idea Kinglash. I’m loving this stuff.

Ghosted by jhnnywalkr @ 03/15/2005 9:13 AM EST

Jhnnywalkr

Holy crap, yes, that’s the rest of the song! Thanks, man, it’s been killin me not being able to remember that. Next time I’m at my parents’ house I am soooo looking around the basement for my A-Team figures. I remember their backpacks fit like real backpacks (i.e., their arms went through straps) rather than the pole in the spine technique a-la G.I. Joe. I always liked that.

I don’t remember the other accessories that well (other than a giant gun and toolbox that BA came with), but did hannibal come with disguises? Did he have, for instance, a godzilla costume like the one he wears in the opening credits?

JL0- Jenny from the block.

Ghosted by G4L @ 03/15/2005 10:40 AM EST

I have to agree with the Mariah "All I want for Christmas is you" part, but also the Eurythmics "Sweet Dreams" is a tune I cannot change the station to once it is on – maybe it has something to do with Annie Lennox’s short red hair and the cows that were in the video?!

~Everything’s comin’ up Milhouse!

Maroon 5 – Shiver

Terrible band, but ok song with a neat guiter hook. A defenite fluke.

Ghosted by CCP @ 03/15/2005 11:21 AM EST

Oh man, I have a lot of those.

"My Bloody Valentine" – Good Charlotte

"Lose Yourself" – Eminem

"My Happy Ending" – Avril Lavinge

"I Want It That Way" – Backstreet Boys

Basically, music my little sister likes.

Ghosted by Dean @ 03/15/2005 11:39 AM EST

You know, I don’t remember the accessories too much. There’s an 80’s commercial to look for. If they didn’t have the Godzilla costume, they damn well should have.

Ghosted by jhnnywalkr @ 03/15/2005 11:51 AM EST

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are Satan. Satan Cubed. On a stick.

But I love "Other Side". You know, that ONE song of theirs where Anthony Kiedis actually sings instead of just talking fast into the mic.

Ghosted by stacella @ 03/15/2005 12:01 PM EST

Wow, the response is right up there with the reaction from my "Breasts as a SuperPower" comment from around a year ago. You never know what will pop into my Evil, oversized head.

She Drives me Crazy – Fine Young Cannibals.

I know they had other songs that were somewhat popular…but all of their stuff blew. No idea why I like this song.

Ghosted by Axl @ 03/15/2005 1:54 PM EST

Here’s something. The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Every song of their’s I hate, then I like, then I hate again.

Ghosted by jhnnywalkr @ 03/15/2005 2:39 PM EST

Coldplay… Every song they do just sucks so bad… Except "Clocks". There’s a conspiracy theory there, but I’ll just write it off as a fluke.

I have a question. Does anyone remember the old Nickelodeon miniseries "The Tomorrow People" about kids who could teleport? I was so obsessed with that while it was on, but have heard nothing about it since.

I dont recall the tomorrow people, but for some reason "Pinwheel" and "The Thrid Eye" along with "Danger Mouse" and "Count Duckula" are among my earliest Nickelodeon memories. Also… "You cant do that on Television" reminds me of Alanis Morriset (sp?). Not that i really have anything against the Canadian, just her sining (read wailing) at the end of dave mathews "Dont Drink the Water"-the only Dave Mathews Band song i can listen to more than once with out getting the urge to Safety Dance. Midgits Rule!.. I mean, little people rule!

Would the Theme from the cartoon JEM count?

It’s still Christmas here? God, I love X-E. I haven’t posted in a while, too much stew brewing. Whatever that means. Anyway, I can’t wait to see the new(ish) site, Matt. Next year let’s aim for June before we get rid of the Christmas stuff. That way, we’ll be halfway back to toyland and not too far off from the first sightings of Madd Matt’s Halloween Extravaganza.

Bring on the Nair.

Ignorance is bliss, listening to a song I can name the title and artist maybe 1 out of 1000 times. Really bad with the details like that, but I can quote movies and tv shows no problem. If I can’t keep track of who sings what I can just listen without giving much thought to hating anyone. Does anyone know where to find the show biker mice from mars or probe? loved those shows.

Ghosted by Ifer Gott @ 03/15/2005 6:21 PM EST

And kidney boy: I saw the veggie tales with the cheeseburger song in it while I was working in my church’s nursery, I thought it was so good/hilarious, that the next time I was at my state fair, I went to the Expo place, found a christian book/video dealer, and bought the video just for that. There is also a song about a Cebu on that tape that is very good.

Sadly, Easy! :

Britney – Toxic

Hanson – MMMBop

Ice Cube – You Can Do It

I absolutely hate all of the individuals involved with those songs but I’ll be damned if I can resist their charms! Who’s up for Marty Jannety screwing over HBK at Mania?! He couldn’t have forgotten the Barber Shop window incident that easily!

Bad Turkey- Mad Mix Master J

Urban – Don Mike

Fast- Lame Jimmy Mike

These will drive you nuts. They do me.

I’m stunned that a few people named RHCP as one of the bands they don’t care for. But I suppose it’s just naivety on my part.

Ghosted by Dean @ 03/15/2005 11:18 PM EST

I can’t stand Celine Dion, especially now that she’s into the Anne Geddes mommy crap and the Vegas show bullshit, but the Titanic song launches me back into 6th grade like no other. Seriously, I’ve blocked 95% of that year out, but when that song comes on, it all returns. Which is strange, because I blocked out that year for a reason, it sucked, but the song bringing it back makes me all nostalgic for stuff I don’t even want to remember.

Ghosted by Mara @ 03/15/2005 11:20 PM EST

I can’t stand the music of Kelly Clarkson, but I drop everything and hit the sofa whenever one of her videos appears on the television because she’s just so damned CUTE! Also, I hate Fred Durst with the white-hot passion of 1,000 suns and I’m pleased to report that he hasn’t yet produced a single song that in any way justifies his existence on my planet. I wish him a prompt evisceration.

Ghosted by The Yeti @ 03/15/2005 11:25 PM EST

Is it shameful for me to be writing down most of the songs others have mentioned to search for later? Yes? I thought so.

Ghosted by Mara @ 03/15/2005 11:26 PM EST

Dirty Pop, by NSYNC. All of their other songs I absolutly despise, but Dirty Pop…stirs something in my soul. I went outta my way to download it, that’s bad enough.

Ghosted by Yorissa @ 03/15/2005 11:33 PM EST

I would have to say that when R Kelly is on the radio, I feel unclean. But he’s everywhere, and he still knows his way around a hook. Consequently, I’m slapping myself in the back of the head a lot for humming along. I even tried giving up dancing to R Kelly for Lent. But that’s harder than giving up nicotine…

Ghosted by djelvis @ 03/16/2005 2:29 AM EST

"The Tomorrow People" was my favourite show for awhile, and there were many sequel series, but they replaced a main character each time, which pissed me off.

And, every singer I hate has at least one song I can’t help but like, but I can’t think of their titles. I know there’s one song I like that I was embarrased to find out was from N’Sync.

Ghosted by Tetsu Deinonychus @ 03/16/2005 3:04 AM EST

I’ve never been a Creed fan. I always thought of them as nothing more than an extremely poor man’s Peral Jam (a superior group, IMHO). That said, I do like the song "Young Grow Old" which you Yanks first got on "WWF/WWE Forciable Entry" a few years back. It came out in Canada many years earlier on one of their CDs, not that I’d know which one since I don’t own any of their CDs, cuz they still suck ass!

Ghosted by A-wel Cruiz @ 03/16/2005 7:17 AM EST

"End of XE? It was a good run"?? What the heck are you talking about?

I HATE Kelly Clarkson and all other pop shit….but damn, I can’t help but enjoy "Miss Independent"- there, it’s off my chest.

And….since I’m getting things off my chest anyway- I still ADORE the New Kids on the Block- I can’t help it! You never get over your first love, right?:)

Ghosted by Muppet Baby @ 03/16/2005 9:37 AM EST

Am I the only one who misread Muppet Baby’s post and thought that Andore (of Final Fight fame) was in New Kids on the Block?

A lot of my friends consider me a music-snob because I rarely give any music that isn’t death-metal a chance. I actually turned down an invitation by this cute girl I met in a bar one night to accompany her back to her place simply because she admitted to liking the music of Linkin Park. It’s important to stand up for what you believe in, but I need to learn to pick my battles better…
