The Calendars have been updated, as you should’ve noticed by now – and yes, it’s Mare and Mare, together again. What will come of this? You may be expecting to find out tonight, but you’re wrong – the big company party is this evening, and I’m not turning down six hours worth of open bar fun to take pictures of Mare Winningham figures. It won’t be “late,” though, so look for it Friday evening.
I’m also entertaining the silly idea of writing a regular article this weekend – I’d like to crank at least a couple out before Christmas. We’ll see. The material is already on deck; it’s just a matter of finding time. Luckily, after an experience at Toys R’ Us last weekend where I had to literally ditch a wagon full of presents because I could no longer mentally handle navigating through the swarms of idiots yelling “DOES LUCY LIKE BRATZ OR FAIRYTOPIA?” I ended up shopping on Amazon instead. It’s a pain in the ass to see things go out of stock from the time they’re in your cart till the time you hit “checkout,” but at least I’m getting all of these giant Amazon boxes to build forts and robots with. Hmmm – that’s an article in wait.

I found these chocolate Santa Claus figurines from Kinder a few days ago, obviously expecting to unearth plastic toy treasures on the inside. Kinder must’ve been having an off day, because there were no toys in Santa’s gut. Oh well, they’re still nice and foreign looking, with way detailed foil wrappers. The chocolate Santas are just as detailed and twice as tasty. It’s hard to recommend placing hollow chocolate figurines inside Christmas stockings, but if you’re living in a cold climate…
