My dying wish is for an owl/camel hybrid, which I call camowl.

Emeril’s Halloween Cooking Special.

Did you know Emeril had a Halloween special? Bam, he did. Bam. BAM. BAM. By the way, this appears to be the 500th entry on the blog. Kinda feels like there's been a whole lot more than that, but this calls for a celebration. I think I'll have coffee.

Survey: List your top five most prized possessions. Mine are really lame, I'll add them to the comments later. Doesn't matter if they're worth anything -- list the five things you can't possibly ever get rid of and that serve as a happy thought whenever you need one after a bird shits on you.

Hmm…

1. My 20" desktop LCD EDTV. Bought for the sole purpose of hooking video games up to it. Also noteworthy as the second most expensive thing I own.

2. My computer. Gaming-quality.

3. My GBA SP. Rock.

4. My freedom. I can pick up and go anywhere in the world on very little notice.

5. The number five, because it’s won me a bunch of money at the roulette wheel. Once bet $1 on it, hit for $35, pulled $5 off the game, let the remaining $30 (aka the table maximum on single-number) ride, and hit for $1,050. Pulled it off the game and tried again, but three in a row was not forthcoming (but it would’ve been sweet).

hmm hard question…

1. My quilt. I made it with a family friend over a snowy weekend.

2. My Anne Rice book collection. I hear you mocking me, stop it.

3. Certain CDs in my collection.

4. The video for Travis’ "Sing". Seriously, it never ever fails to make me happy. Those who don’t know Travis or don’t know the video, it’s worth it to go to http://www.travisonline.com and find it in their video area.

5. Tie between A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle and my computer.

What’s on Matt’s list?

Matt, as another Mat who has made something of a name for himself drawing shitty comic strips, I applaud you. Well done, sir!

Prized possessions… hmm…

1 – The blanket that was made by my grandmother, given to my parents when I was born, in which I was wrapped when I came home from the hospital. It’s in rough shape after 27 years, but I still have it.
2 – A dicebag with the embroidered image of one of the characters from my comic dressed as a D&D elf on it, given to me by my good friend Marcy.
3 – The Usagi Yojimbo Roleplaying Game book that Stan Sakai drew Miyamoto Usagi in.
4 – Two sketchbooks containing drawings by my artist friends from various places.
5 – My computer. I’m kind of a dork.

This update was an awesome comic!

I think all the good Emeril jokes have already been made, so think up something original and insert it [here]… anyway, that was funny as hell, Matt.

Five top possessions? Hmmm…

1) My collection of signed playbills from the various and sundry theatrical events I’ve attended over the years (yes, I’m one of those nerds who waits outside the stage door)
2) My copy of Hamlet (again, nerd to the highest degree)
3) My music collection
4) The stereo which enables me to listen to said music collection
and
5) My Kurzweil SP-88 (read: really nice fully-weighted keyboard/synthesizer). If I could afford it, I’d have the super souped-up K2600. In the meantime, however, this does quite nicely.

I swear to God, the comic’s story was witnessed in reality by a friend of mine when he saw "Fahrenheit 9-11" and some guy flipped out, left, and came back for his keys. Or is that scenario some big urban legend and it never really happened?

What the heck is sticking out of Emeril’s ass in the "I Came for Garlic" pic? Does he have a tail?

Let’s see, top five things:

1. My photo albums and home movies. I’m a bit of a nut about taking pictures of every single happening in my life.
2. My cappaccino maker.
3. All of my pets (1 dog, 1 full grown cat, 1 kitten, 1 hamster, 1 garter snake and 1 fish).
4. Febreeze. B/c, as much as I love them, animals are stinky.
5. The Stand by Stephen King. I read it at least once a year and I never get tired of it.

1) My boyfriend, who’s a Yankee-loving Republican who won’t stop talking sometimes, but still loves this Independent Red Sox fan who hates Clear Channel.
2) My purse with the giant clock built in (except when people constantly scream out "Flava Flav!!!" when I walk by).
3) Airplanes and flying – I actually don’t mind the airport. Something is wrong with me.
4) The Squishee "machine" I bought when I moved into my apartment.
5) My picture of me and my boyfriend with Dane Cook at his show last May. Dane noticed my Ralph Wiggum shirt and we started talking about The Simpsons. My boyfriend was drunk and happy because he, for some strange reason, interpreted this as "a celebrity checked out my girlfriend’s rack!!!".

Okay… I went back and read the comic.
Holy crap! I’m sitting here giggling! It reminds me of the stupid comics I used to draw as a kid. It was always about Princess Sally from ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ trying to marry Sideshow Bob or vice versa. Sonic always ended up pissed until he saved Sally and changed her or something like that…
Throw in a rape and they’d be Luke and Laura.
