Jason Voorhees & Alice Cooper UNITE!

This is pretty interesting, I'm surprised I haven't covered it before. To celebrate Jason's return in Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives, the slasher's old pal, Alice F'n Cooper, wrote, sung and starred in a music video all in tribute to the big man with the machete. Titled He's Back -- The Man Behind The Mask, the video guest stars Jason himself, who flies through a movie screen on a Tarzan rope and paces in front of moviegoers. Quick review also includes a really grainy video clip. You've gotta see Jason tackle Alice for yourselves, it'll make your night.

Don’t forget the "Wake Up With the King" Burger King commercial.

Acutally, it was a subliminal message for Jiffy Pop.
Jiff Jiff Jiff Pop Pop Pop…

Too bad about Rodney. He was really funny.

Matt, I know you’ve been busy (and ill on top of that), but I haven’t heard back from you about the TMNT tape I want to send you. I have a friend going to Buffalo this week-end so he could mail it from there and save the international postage (from Canada) AND the duty fees.

Yzzie — could you e-mail me the details again? To xemattmail@aol.com?

As an Alice Cooper fan, I would jsut like to say that this song is abysmal. A big letdown for all his fans.

As for creep commercials, don’t forget Satan’s Chew Toy, the Snuggle Bear. Those black, black eyes…

I still think that Teddy Ruxpin is possessed by Satan. Moreso than Snuggle Bear.

It doesn’t take me to the main page anymore. I use Windows.

what I have been noticing lately whenever I try to watch a video clip here is that a "Source Filter Couldn’t Be Found Message" pops up. For instance, that Shocktober commercial worked fine when you first posted it. Now I can’t watch it.

I can’t possibly explain that one, but it’s the same file you dL’ed originally. Your computer is obviously infested with demons.

Chestnuts roasted by Matt @ 10/06/2004 8:33 PM

Update: I just went back to the Shoctober entry and it works fine. For some reason, sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t.

wmv files work fine on a mac. There really arent any files that dnt work on a mac aside from .exe

PS Awesome article Matt, as always…

And I agree with trajeal.
These articles that you produce each and everyday (almost) are phenomenal, considering you work 9 – 5, and also have a private life, (of sorts)! I know that when I come home from tha slave pits, tha last thing I want to do is sit on front of damn computer! Kudos, Matt! Kudos…

Don’t know what happened, but it’s working now.

Not bad, but I prefer the Dream Warriors music video. Also, Remember MC Hammer’s Adam’s Family music video? Haven’t seen that in awhile

Matt, I’ve followed your site for quite a while now. Thanks for all the articles. This Cooper one was a nice surprise. Like DJ Babs, I just saw Alice in concert yesterday, way up in Timmins, Ontario. The guys amazing live… a must see.
The video was a nice trip down slasher horror/metal memory lane.

Thanks again!

I can’t believe that a man who starts his Halloween Countdown in September isn’t a fan of Alice Cooper… If you’re looking for spooky-themed cheesefests, Cooper’s the way to go. Just listen to "Feed My Frankenstein" if you don’t believe me.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I find half-naked men with long hair running around a stage screaming and bashing beautiful geetars to death utterly hilarious. Do they realise how stupid they look? Does anyone else notice how dumb a man in dirty white PT shorts playing a piano and howling "December rain" or whatever actually is?

And now I too am battling not to get Bon Jovi back in my head. Thanks very much.

Gorgeous site, Matt. I have freudian website envy, I promise… :D

Alice cooper ROCKS! and the video kicks ass!

Chestnuts roasted by Jazzno @ 10/31/2006 7:08 AM

The funny thing about this song is the during the last chorus Alice says “and he’s after your soul.” Now, I applaud Alice Cooper for trying to add a new dimension to the Jason legend or merely trying to find a word to rhyme with “hole” but, in fact, your soul is the one thing Jason is not after. Freddy is after your soul. Jason just wants to impale a machete in your face. Maybe forward thinking Alice saw a time when Freddy would use Jason to gather souls for him or, again, maybe he just needed something to rhyme with hole. Either way “you’re deep in love but you’re deeper in the woods” remains one of rock’s best couplets. Huzzah to him!
