ROTJ Coloring Book Coloring Contest: RESULTS!

Well, 8 PM has come and gone, and with it, the chance to win a box of crap for coloring in Squid Head and Boba Fett. Got a little over 30 entries -- a few were lost in e-mail mishaps; say a prayer for them. The rest of you knew the rules: make magic out of this page:

Judging the entries was tough -- most of the good ones were so much better than the bad ones that the bad ones seemed four times badder than they actually were. And of the good, a few stood out. Part of me wanted to award the grand prize to Jay from Tupelo who so skillfully cropped fried calamari out of a Food Network picture and added it near Boba Fett's mouth. Instead I had Jay from Tupelo killed. The winner of the One-Day-Only ROTJ Coloring Book Coloring Contest is...

Jeff! Don't know Jeff personally. Don't know if I want to. But boy does make the mean Squidhead yes.

Jeff will win various trinkets of little worth, packed into a box we formerly used to litter box train. Thanks to all who participated -- I liked coming home to multiple Squid Heads. Here's the best of the rest, and sorry if yours isn't on here. I'm running out of time.

Thanks Mars. I love this site and when I saw that contest I just had to enter. It’s good though that the prize was given based on more than just good coloring, so congrats to Jeff too!

Yes, I agree…JDavis is the winner…that one made me laugh out loud. However, the best one based on pure art is silkenray…that is really good. Wish I could do that.

Man, I love photoshop challenges. I could do them all day. I don’t have photoshop (Microsoft PhotoDraw), but it works just as well. Obviously, I didn’t use it for my entry (how could anyone NOT use crayons to color it? I’m so disappointed in all of you. Pppbbbllttt!). I love the idea of getting to write an X-E article as a prize. Or, as a contest. ‘Write 2,000 on what you keep in your junk drawer’, or ’1,500 words on Thunder Punch He-man’.

the colors, man. THE COLORS! I like the ones colored like amy s. because the Mon Calamari looks like a collector’s lapel pin.

Didn’t have the tools/time to enter, but loved the contest anyways- good job people- great stuff. I am very jealous of the box of crap I didn’t get to win. Hope there’s another contest sometime soon!

You guys all did a great job. Ewwzy’s was really good, and greg’s art gallery, but I liked the last 2 entries the best of all.

I don’t know how I missed this contest. It might have had to do with school, which is all the more reason to hate it, as if it being in the summer wasn’t enough…
