Return of the Jedi Art Contest! :o

Okay, here's the deal. Give me something to look forward to after another long bus ride home tomorrow. Time for a one day art contest. Starring Squid Head and Boba Fett.

I've got this old Return of the Jedi coloring book, featuring pretty nice artwork as far as coloring books go. Yehmm. So here's what you do: Click here for a full-sized scan of the page shown at right, and spend the next almost-a-full-day dolling it up in any way you see fit. Color it, fuck with it, add word balloons, paste stupid pictures into it, whatever. Send in your work of art by 8 PM tomorrow. (alternate e-mail if it bounces: click here) All entries that don't make me feel embarrassed for you will be posted later that evening, and one lucky grand prize winner will win a small box of assorted crap sitting on the smoke-ridden shelves behind me. Remember, you gotta have 'em in by 8 PM. If I get it at 8:01, DELETED, even if it was a masterpiece. A masterpiece with Squid Head as the canvas. Get to work.

My attempt to attatch my entry to an e-mail also failed, so I ended up uploading my entry to my webspace and re-sending the original e-mail with links to the images instead of attatchments.

I, too, have received the delivery failure message, mere minutes after sending. I’ve also sent one to Matt’s other address, and haven’t received a failure message…yet.

Matt, now I know this is off topic, but this is someting I must share! On the new DVD set of "The Lost Boys" there will be a featurette of all featurettes. It is called "Haimster & Feldog: The Story of Two Coreys." I hope that you can obtain a copy of this and someday do a review of this splendid masterpiece!

I always suspected a clandestine relationship between Han Solo and Chewbacca.

I was also kinda expecting a gratuitous shower scene in "Return of the Jedi" that’d explain where Han Solo got his name… and the tragic accident involved.

Damn, saw this contest 1 hour before it was over, though that would be enough time to throw something together… but of all days I was having relationship problems and it took about 1 hour to fix :/ oh well. I still coulda done it but as much as I love Matt, I love my girl a billion times more.

Well, mailed a link, because my file was 170-some KB, and since that text message didn’t bounce I guess the XE address worked.

Oh, for the record, my submission is more of the serious colorjob instead of the batshit crazy "hay I had lsd-flavored ice cream" style. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. Some say the "touched" are touched by the Great Spirit’s own hand, and to harm them is to court a hideous fate.
