Jell-O Pudding Pops are BACK!

It's a short article that was more suited to be a blog entry, but it was just too big of an occasion to resist: Jell-O Pudding Pops are back! This probably isn't big news to most of you here; I've seen it talked about over the past few weeks, but for the other half of the planet who must have this information, it's now there in html form with a bunch of pictures of Tunnel Rat. Now then, the answer to yesterday's Kinder Egg trivia quiz is...

A spider. Guess the clue was a little easy. "Ant" is our winner with the first corrent entry. He wins a big huge smile. :)

I’ll be the judge of that!

Why do you have to include the "f" word? Your site is supposed to be helping people with an addiction. Why are you feeding another. Is this or is this not a Christian site?

trajeal,
no its not in her perspective, but that would be pretty interesting, and although it would be save mucho moolah if I transcribed it, I kinda doubt that would go over too well.
I did start it, but the new Salem’s Lot mini was on TBS, so I had too many options the past few nights.
I hope that Susannah turns out all right, and the whole shit with Callahan and Salems Lot blows my freakin mind!!
By the way, any clues on what color I am???

Jack Burton,
I checked out the search on the Good Humor page, and the closest place that has them is in fucking Germantown, so I guess I might check out Milwaukee. Will be there for Clapton, so try not to buy too many more, hehe.

This is a christian site? Well Matt is one CRAZY CHRISTIAN then.

"…and the Lord sayeth unto thee, ‘partake of the Chocodiles for they are my gift to my children’" (Leviticus 3:14)

Of course this is a Christian site. Transformers are tangible proof of the power of Jesus.

Can I get an "Amen"?

bogeyb, you waited like five hours! You trying to beat A-wel’s records or something? Sheesh. Besides, MST3K doesn’t particularly lend itself to review. What’s there to write? "Then the robots made another joke!!!!" Actually, if you’re really interested in reading that kind of stuff, fans actually write it. Check out places like the http://www.livejournal.com/community/mst3k/">LiveJournal MST3K community.
As to X-E MST, there’s Matt’s http://www.x-entertainment.com/articles/0762/">review of Killers From Space, where he mentions Tom Servo, and there’s his oldold http://www.x-entertainment.com/messages/498.html">review of Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, which of course was featured on an episode of MST. I know my bloggy buddies can come up with at least one more article that I’m missing that has a link to MST, however tenous. Klash, maybe? ME?

squee, according to X-E/Google search feature the abbreviation "MST3K" has been referenced two times by Matt and one time by Robert. Here they are in chronological order:

"A-Wel, if it’s any consolation, I’m absolutely positive that I will review the movie someday." -Matt

Finally, some recognition from Matt on this subject. That’s all I’ve wanted for months now. Well that, and the review itself.

Living in Canada, I’ve never got to see MST3K. :( I tried downloading some eps off Kazaa, but they were pretty choppy and unwatchable. I did see "MST3K: The Movie" though, where they watch "This Island Earth". Its a poor conselation, though, since its actually shorter than most episodes, and the jokes are fewer in between to account for laughter since it was shown theatrically. Ah well. Anybody know where I can get some episodes?

Chestnuts roasted by A-wel Cruiz @ 06/23/2004 12:01 PM

Hey, I watched Salem’s Lot, too, kidneyboy! What did you think? I recently reread the book, so I found the huge plotholes and non-story-following parts distracting. Although, a lot was included in this version that wasn’t included in the 1977 version. I can’t stand Rob Lowe (he was HORRIBLE as Nick in The Stand), so that biased me a bit.
BTW, you are a deep purple brown, like the color of ripe plums.

Froxen turtle pies, king. Uck. The pastry would get all damp and soggy as it melted, and the pudding would probably freeze solid into a green lump, hurting me teeth when I tried to bite it. But, you know, to each his own. :-)

Chestnuts roasted by trajeal @ 06/23/2004 12:08 PM

I don’t think "Mac and Me" really NEEDS a review. If you’ve ever seen it, you already know whats wrong with it. If you haven’t seen the movie, it goes like this. An E.T. rip off lands on Earth and loses his family. Through the powers of love and product placement he is reunited with them. The End.

You probably should still see it because of the timeless McDonalds breakdance scene, but that’s about it.

Chestnuts roasted by pulseczar @ 06/23/2004 12:39 PM

first squee4242 I thought a general overview of the series, or at least a review of manos the hands of fate (like the one on I-mockery, you know un-mstied) Back on topic, anyone have any hopes on what the next archaic snack item will be brought back from the grave,i’ve got 10 cookies on dizzy grizzles.

/yeah it’s a mario rpg refrence

Chestnuts roasted by bogeyb @ 06/23/2004 1:49 PM

A-wel Cruz, try suprnova.org or http://www.dapcentral.org The former uses bittorrent and is faster but the selection is pretty variable. The latter can be pretty slow but they have every episode ever. The quality has been pretty good on every episode I’ve downloaded.

Chestnuts roasted by crow's gf @ 06/23/2004 1:59 PM

Some of the MST3K DVDs I’ve seen in the stores have a feature that lets you see the film without Msting, to allow the cheesy goodness to be enjoyed. Of course, with it on, it’s even better.

Chestnuts roasted by kingklash @ 06/23/2004 2:57 PM

trajeal,
twas OK. nothing more, nothing less. lots of plot holes and jumps, but thats to be expected. I would have rather seen a big screen version with really gory effects and lots of swearing, but its about 20 years too late for that. when you kill a vampire, does it always shoot to the top of the room and then vanish?
Yes, Rob Lowe does leave a bit to be desired, and his line delivery is really super shitty.

on another note, in my girlfriend’s grandmother’s basement, i recently found a can of cherry Hi-C, and it looks aged to perfection. All the telltale rust spots and smears are in evidence. I just need to grab it the next time we go over there. I was very excited, to say the least and my g/f thought I was crazy.

Chestnuts roasted by kidneyboy @ 06/23/2004 9:59 PM

Where are the damn GELATIN POPS?

Those were good too, not as good as the pudding pops, but good.

These pudding pops are not quite the same, but they are still pudding pops, I am just glad they got rid of the damn banana flavor.

I just had some banana pudding recently and it reminded me of that awful flavor of pudding pops. But if memory serves me correctly, could you not have purchased a whole box of just swirl before instead of this multi-pak business?

Also does anyone remember Campbell’s Meatball (Alphabet) Soup? That was damn good. Matt please find a can of that and do a review as well as the Gelatin Pops.

Chestnuts roasted by dr. statan @ 06/24/2004 4:23 AM

I don’t know if they still make them, but a few years ago we bought some dripless pops. Or, meltless pops. I don’t know. They were marketed towards parents who hate messy pops. Anyway, they were gelatin pops. IIRC, they only had red, too. Did the original gelatin pops only have red?

Chestnuts roasted by trajeal @ 06/24/2004 6:55 AM

P.S. kidneyboy, let me know when you finish the book. Is it good enough to buy hardcover, or wait until paperback?
Also, I think the movie would have been done better if they had spent more time building suspense. Matt’s trek to his guest bedroom while Susan was tlaking downstairs was decent, but nothing else really had time to grow. Desperation is on the burner sometime in the future. I wonder if they’ll follow w/ The Regulators. Probably not, since it would involve those huge toy cars and figures, whic would probably cost a mint to replicate or do up w/ CGI.
