Yeah yeah, been a blah week here, sorry. Had some stuff that needed to be taken care of. Next week'll be better, I pwowmiwse. Meantime, let's get another survey going. What was the best day of your life?
The day I told my in-laws that I wore white tube socks to my wedding. The expressions on there faces when they really looked at the wedding photos was priceless.

I don’t know about a single day, but the summer before my last semester at college was without a doubt the most fun I ever had in my life, I don’t think that I was low once that whole summer. Which is saying alot since I need to take meds to keep me level (stupid chemical imbalances)

I was 16 back in ’95 and somehow I stumbled my way into this local LA GothPunk band called Frankenstein (Old School GothPunk. Think like, The Cramps or 45 Grave). I played sax (Baritone) and ended up playing one show with them. I’m sure I sucked, but it was still the coolest damn thing…. Almost cooler is that I found the band is still around. I need to write them and say "j0!"

3 months and 4 days ago. Had a threesome and everyone was sober.

Why my favorite day would have to be May 1st 2004, not only will it be Communist labour day (kill a commie for your mommy) but also the day matt will post the newest part of the chiasaga. Then I’ll be so happy i’ll do cartwheels, which is hard because I’m a heavy guy.

One day in the summer of 95; I was 15. I got my first PC and touched a girl *down there* for the first time – in the same freaking day!

Oh and I’m married to her now. She rocks.

Still waiting for it. Although surely not to stay such for the rest of my life, the day I decided to quit school was probably the best one so far, but also the scariest.
"ps. for those of you who are serious about your best day being the day you received a toy- thats just really sad."
Come on dude, there was a movie ABOUT toys as well. Don’t sell my best day short, yo.
"Oh and I’m married to her now. She rocks."
After that last comment… I hope she doesn’t read the X-E blog. Whoo lawd!

The day I learned the conclusion to the chia pet/Cobra saga.

As cliched as it sounds, it was the day I first set eyes on my husband. Who knew that the guy across the room with the gorgeous eyes would be the person I’d marry.

I know it was a shitty day for just about everyone else in the country, but I had a great day on 9/11, personally. Had the day off from work, stayed home laughing and playing with my girlfriend, bought the new TMBG CD that came out that day (John Linnell: "Our new album was released on September 11th, this is part of our "Good Luck" strategy…"), and when I finally came home and turned on the TV, my first thought was the same as everyone else’s… but my second thought was "Let’s see that election-stealing motherfucker weasel his way out of THIS one." What a wonderful feeling of hope for the future! Too bad it hasn’t come to anything but grief and misery.
That post looks a little heartless on further reflection… I should point out that it wasn’t ‘real’ to me yet, it was too bizarre to comprehend. Living all the way over on the other coast, it takes time for things like that to really penetrate… but I spent weeks feeling really guilty over feeling so good on that day, and doubly guilty over my hepatitis-tainted blood being unsuited for donating. One day’s pleasantries don’t make up for a tragedy of that scale, I’ll tell you that right fucking now.

I understand, G’Tron. It didn’t sink in for a little while. Sometimes getting the day off makes you ignore the implications. I also had a good day. In retrospect, I’m ashamed to have had such a good day.

Hard to say…but I did have one of the best weeks of my life about two weeks ago. Went out to a fancy Easter dinner with the family and had a great time and had an even better time eating ham with them the next night, visited a girlfriend and her awesome grandma, and went on a shopping spree and bought myself a DVD player and the first season set for "The Monkees" (yes, the weird 60s sitcom/video show most of you, including me, probably recall from it’s mid-80s MTV revival).

Best day ever? Lots of those, but here’s the one that sticks in my mind. I remember the day my parents bought my brother and I a NINTENDO! Not just any Nintendo, but the POWER SYSTEM!!! It had the GUN, the POWER PAD, and the triple game cart (SMB, Duckhunt, and World Class Track Meet). My brother and I flipped out!!! I still remember throwing myself on the floor and writhing in delight!
Of course The New Monkees, and NKOTB (New Kids for those that missed their hardcore final album), would never expect the next non-sensation would be NBC’s "The Guys Next Door!" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0122348/ http://guysnextdoor.50megs.com/menu.htm
Fun Factoid: Their hand signal would later be used by Diamond Dallas Page, and more recently Jay-Z
What’s that? Go out and get some liquor?! As you command, Computeron.
Chestnuts roasted by ME @ 04/30/2004 11:33 PM
Sorry. Can’t answer that properly in 1000 words or less.
Without going into details, I think EVERY day is the best day of my life.
My wife just now told me that the best day of my life was the day I married her.
Using my theory, I guess that she’s right!

There are many, but one sticks out in particular: The day I graduated college (Jan. ’01) – I was the first in my family to do so. And now, I’m 26 & jobless, so go figure! Trickle-down economics are a wonder. (anyone hiring in the NJ area?)
