just finished re-reading 1984 and 1985/6 just now, continuing my time-traveling holiday with you! I’m 37, so part of me still thinks it’s basically the 90s, so it’s really weird when they intro’d Snoopy as “turning 35″ and then I realize the 80s are almost as far away from now as the 50s were from the 80s. Does that make any sense? Blame it on too much baking today.

FWIW at this point, the woman in the Gloworm ad is not Mary Hart, but Joan Lunden, former co-host of Good Morning America. I hated that program when I was a kid ’cause if I was up early enough to hear the show’s theme music it meant school was back in session.
