11/26/2003: allllmost done

For those waiting for the parade review, I’m allllmooosttt there. Looks like I’m gonna be up till around 2 AM finishing it. It’s eight pages long and eighty-thousand words. Coming along nicely. Course, I’m supposed to make the stuffed mushrooms for when we go to my not-yet-in-laws tomorrow. The mushrooms will have to wait. Screw the not-yet-in-laws. I have a parade to write about.

Hey, can someone please tell me how to keep my taskbar from disapearing when visiting this site? Your help is Much appreciated, FIRST POST!

Put your mouse on the taskbar and right click.

Now make sure auto-hide taskbar is not checked.

Thats all I can think of.

On reading through, it doesn’t seem as if you did write the Top 11. I’m not sure why, but the Michael Jackson joke just seems either too crude or not crude enough to be Matt material.

No way in hell that top 11 was written by Matt. The writing style is all wrong, I can tell just by reading the first paragraph. Matt tends to kick back and have a one man mosh pit in his own little world when he writes. That article is way too uptight, it "tries to be entertaining", if you know what I mean.

Also, the words don’t flow nearly as well as Matt’s writings. His paragraphs are just a flow of thought while the article in question is like "Here’s a sentence with one thought. Here’s another sentence with another thought. And here’s a third thought. Followed by a closing sentence." Very rigid, even this site’s first articles wern’t that bad.

Wow. I know the writing style of some random guy on the internet. I really need a beer now.

I’m looking foreward to the parade and celebrating turkey day Chandler style I’m going to eat some non-pilgrim foods like funyns and mac n cheese. Hope my pinky toe doesn’t get severed. :/

3:49 here. And yes for good or for bad, the Pickachu balloon IS in the parade this year. They just had one of those regular reports from the reporter with kids watching the balloons blow up on Ch. 11.

Is this some sort of Jim Henson aniversary? There seem to be at least three muppet balloons…Kermit, Big Bird and Grover. Not that I’m complaining…it’s nice to have actual characters as balloons again instead of the corporate logo balloons such as Snuggle, RMcD and Quick Bunny that they’ve been floating in recent parades.
