I'm working on a Hell of a review at the moment, but seeing as it's 2 AM, I don't know if it'll be ready for a Monday or Tuesday launch. Meantime, check out Retrocrush -- many of you probably remember Rob's work on X-E in years past...we don't get to talk too often these days, but he's put together some tremendous things for his site over the past few months. Plus, he's always been real cool about plugging his old stomping grounds and not immediately e-mailing me afterwards to show me that he did, which makes it a whole lot more sincere and cool of him. Anyway, Retrocrush really has come into its own these days, so if you're looking for a good link to add to your daily checks, here it is.

Okay, back to this article. Very exciting stuff. You will love it oh yes you will. The interesting thing is that it's only the first in a series of articles about the topic, and considering the length of this first piece, I'm starting to question my decision to go about it in this manner. Wait a second...

"I'm starting to question my decision to go about it in this manner."

I swear, this is really how I talk, too. I guess I spent too many youthful Saturdays watching TNG reruns when I should've been out drinking and tagging. Yo.

First post?
Sorry, I had to.

Retrocrush is a fine site. Light on humor, heavier on nostalgia. I love their lists. The scary scenes was a well put together list . . . mostly. They’ve forgotten quite a number, but that’s the case of any list. That they mention Brunel, Fulci, Hooper, and Romero make me happy. Their lists of things to hate are quite amazing as well. Even though it’s requisite to argue with the placement of the hated things. Love that Coolaid man prank. I wish the site would spend more time on its own articles than on showcasing others from sites not of theirs, but hey, he’s giving exposure to the sites who deserve it, so I shouldn’t complain.

I’m taking another good look at RetroCrush. I’m reminded of the question I always ask myself about that site: where the hell does he find this awesome crap? A Vinnie Barbarino Halloween costume. Nine Former Addicts Sing record album. The Poptops Clothing book. The picture of the Willard Scott Ronald McDonald looking exactly how I picture the devil. And yours and my favorite–pipe cleaner porn. Yeah, so I’ll up my opinion of the site to this–the level of search and discovery is too awesome to behold. And how can you not like a site that goes in search of great children’s playgrounds?

Can’t wait to see what’s next. Think I’ll go pass out on the couch now. Good night.

I’m a summer and I love to wear my hair over my eyes. Hey Matt what would your tag name be? Mine would be pikachu and I’d tag pics of pikachus

I read on the blink-182 site that everyone is tagging the new blink symbol all over things because the new symbol kinda looks like a tag. Silly little kids.

Sorry, i’m from an alternate dimension…TNG ??? not sure what that is…

Chestnuts roasted by Xen @ 11/10/2003 9:02 AM

star trek, The Next Generation

Xen, you should be proud that you didn’t know what TNG means. I myself am proud that it took me a few minutes to figure it out.
Wesley makes me hate that show.

And Retrocrush is awesome. But it’s hard to read while at work, because some of the words and images could get flagged.

If I had a tag, it would be "Dry Clean Only". Lousy kids and their music…

Ah yes…got it now, i was only into the original Star Trek :) After that it losts its unexplainable charm.

Unless this is the McDonald’s Mac Tonight commercial reviewed several times and made available for download, my expectations will be shot to hell.

You know Matt you are allowed some privacy (pronounced with a short i); we don’t need to know every detail of your sad life.
I’m j/k btw, just wanted to work privacy in there.

That Macy’s Parade sure did bring back memories … like that turkey from the Macy’s parade … I saw it on Reading Rainbow many many years ago. LeVar Burton cackled over it mightily, and I’ve never quite recovered … *shudder*

Come on Matt! Cant wait to see the ’86 thanksgiving parade. Because, If memory serves me its the one time that they had a bunch of guys dressed up as Marvel superheroes for one of the floats, they even do a little "dramatic number" to the theme from back to the future! Heres hoping, heres hoping. I remember it so well because I was hopped up on sugar that morning and when I saw Capt. America I went ape shit and started dancing all over my grandmothers living room wich led to one of my evil aunts telling me that I was acting like a fool and putting me in "time out" for the remainder of the parade.

fun times.
