Spongebob Squarepants’ Pineapple Bubble Yum!

Straight from the bowels of the too strange to resist, Bubble Yum recently came out with an officially branded "Spongebob Squarepants" bubble gum -- and it tastes like pineapples! If you're one of the sixteen people who'd ever choose "pineapple" over any other available flavor, your prayers have been answered. The big party bag comes in a high class happy yellow, complete with appearances from Spongebob and that strange, punk rock duck Bubble Yum started employing to seem more hip. I had some misgivings about pineapple-flavored bubble gum, but it's actually tasty. Sorta like that old "Paradise Punch" flavor, only with a little less punch and paradise. Obviously, the gum can only last as long as Spongebob's popularity, so don't rest on your laurels. You want "Spongebob Squarepants Pineapple Bubble Yum Bubble Gum?" Get a move on.

Plus, if you don't want to eat it, the unwrapped gum pieces work great as dollhouse "phone book" accessories.

I was forced to babysit and watch Nickelodeon a while back for, God, it must’ve been a really long time. Anyway, I had to down concentrated SpongeBob for so long that I seriously thought I was going to crack. I had the stupid theme song stuck in my head, as well as a need to buy retarded starfish in bulk.

So, um, yeah, SpongeBob disturbs me and this recent blog post reminds me that he’s everywhere, watching you and your kids like some demonic Santa Claus.

I like pineapple, regardless of spongebob *wonders if there is any real pineapple left in the fridge* the other flavor that’s good is the Sobe tropical fruit gum (Pina Colada) needs to last longer though

well im not a fan of spongebob nor pineapples, and i dont even like gum too much any more. -_-; But there is one magical candy that I can not get enough of. That candy is Hi-Chew!! It is imported from Japan and it is the greatest stuff. I’ve got a stockpile of it in my desk and i think i’ll have some now…..

I have friends that are obsessed with spongebob. It’s very sad considering they’re 19 and 20 years old. And pineapple candy isn’t so bad, if there are no choices other than orange.

Come on! Don’t be elitist snobs. There’s nothing wrong with liking SpongeBob, I mean compared to the crap that they play on ABC and other broadcast channels not mention as the above poster commented Rocket Power or Rugrats, on Saturday morning it’s almost Rocko good (the best Nick toon ever!). If you need more reasons to like it there’s the fact that Patrick is voiced by that big guy from "Coach" and SpongeBob is voiced by Tom Kenny of "Mr.Show" fame, "I couldn’t help but over hear what that ghost said,". Also the episode with Sandy about to go into hibernation is scored by Pantera. There isn’t any reason to be ashamed if you like it, who are we to judge (Matt likes Golden Girls and I like Street Hawk…nobody around is exactly the bastion of good taste or sound judgement).

Any animated show that mixes live action footage and puppetry into the mix has my vote … don’t let the "Nickelodeon" branding fool you … SpongeBob is as subversive as they come with the latter-day episodes.

I have to admit that I am an enjoyer of SpongeBob. I haven’t watched it about 6 months, but I think they’re very funny. and yes, the gum is pinneapple because …"who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SPONGEBOB SQUARE PANTS!" as the theme song goes. Oh and the good characters are merman, and barnecle boy, a couple of retired, geriatric superheros, who are conned out of retirement by SB and patrik. oh and lastly (for mr. mr. mr.) I had to smuggle my videos of freakazoid into idaho…damn state, what part of it are/were you in?

At that Morinaga Ltd./Hi-Chew website posted up yonder, when you roll over the button that displays "CM" and a whole bunch of Japanese characters, a picture of a Japanese She-Ra, Princess of Power pops up.

Have they captured She-Ra’s essence in gum form too? Maybe for when He-Man needs one of his creepy incestuous fixes.
