I'm no so sure about this idea of Ectocooler actually being green. Now I admit that my memories of the stuff are a little hazy, but I seem to recall being disappointed as a child that the juice wasn't actually green and in fact was just juice colored. Of course, there is also the possiblity that it was green originally, but was later changed to just its natural color.

For the last 4 years, I have worked in a Supermarket part-time. When I first started working there (Fall 1999), Ecto-Cooler was STILL on the shelf. All connections to Ghostbusters and Slimer had been removed, replaced by an orange and a cow smiling. Now however, even that is off the shelf.

I remember when I was a kid passing the cooler aisles where the gallons of juice were kept, and more than once noting that the Ecto Cooler was bright neon green. Maybe they changed the color later on, but in the clear gallon jugs, there was no mistaking that color.
