I'm working on a tribute to the Johnson Smith Company, a novelty distributor formerly famous for having full-page ads in virtually every old comic book and kiddy magazine in existence. You might remember them better for their recent (and current) Things You Never Knew Existed catalogs. I've only mentioned them here and there on the site, but in truth, their collection of oddities helped shape my childhood just as much as anything else you've seen on the site. It'll be up tomorrow.

In other news, I'm currently experiencing the effects of two-year-old vicodin. It's for a toothache, I swear.

Remember to send in your entry for the Photog Art Contest by this weekend! I've gotten a bunch so far, and some would make Bitner proud. The Commercials page is slated for some big linkage today, so if you haven't checked it out yet, you may wanna do so before the onslaught of bandwidth-eaters arrives and makes X-E's server implode. Big ups to the guys over at ServINT for giving me a really great hosting package -- honestly, features like this would be impossible without their continued help.

Mmm. This stuff is actually pretty good. And here I thought wine and cheese were the only things that aged well. I should get toothaches more often.

I’ve had a toothache for the past few days, but that’s because I’m too chickens#%t to go to the dentist. I need to just nut up and make the appointment, cause I don’t have any 2 year old vicodin laying around the house, and asprin doesn’t even begin to work. I’ll just comfort myself with the knowledge that a new article is coming soon. Yeah, that’ll dull the pain.

Mega Force. I had forgotten all about that untill it statared making the rounds on cable recently. I was really upset that I missed it the theaters (proably more so that my mom dressing me down for whining about a flop movie) Now it’s just something regulated to a past of pop culture. I mean, Barry Bostwich as a motorcycle rideing comando? The mayor of NYC was a mercenary commando!?! Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death…

Google ratings are based on number of mentions of the search word, but also on the number of sites linking to the results. So if there were two identical sites, the one with more links pointing to it would be a higher result. I think that’s correct, anyway.
One thing that I am pretty sure about is that if you want to hit #1, you should enter all the ape juice on one single page.

i’ve seen no holds barred on cable this past couple of months and probably tried to watch it about a dozen times, i still haven’t been able to see it all tho.

i did catch some of it this morning while i was hi and i def say this is a perfect movie for when ur fucked up. some of the scenes seem to last forever even tho they’re about absolutely nothing. only when you’re hi can you enjoy watching a 10 minute scene detaling hulk hogan getting ready for bed.
