Is that Casey the robot? Peanut, peanut butter… JELLY! LoL!

Ghosted by BotchieGulpe @ 05/17/2003 11:14 PM EDT

He’s getting some off camera fringe benifits.

Ghosted by Iron Cheif @ 05/17/2003 11:16 PM EDT

Oh, sorry I forgot… Did any of you guys see that Celebrity Look-A-Likes on AOL? That guy dressed like Wolverine looks like Matt! LoL!

Ghosted by BotchieGulpe @ 05/17/2003 11:20 PM EDT

Ah, the Crocodile Dentist Puzzle. I had a ton of fun with that. Like the Jaws game, only with a goofy-looking crocodile.

Ghosted by Mr. Mr. Mr. @ 05/18/2003 12:25 PM EDT

Meh, I remember just about all of those ads. Nostalgia is such a great feeling…::sigh::

Does this mean more commercials are comin’ up on X-E, or are you just being a tease :-P

Ghosted by Alicia @ 05/18/2003 12:33 PM EDT

God, my fave is that Crunch kid. Looks like he’s either in mid-orgasm or about to blast us with his mind bullets.

Ghosted by Psychic Lemur @ 05/18/2003 2:45 AM EDT

Gee looking at the reaction of that kid I could go a Crunch right now

Ghosted by Troy @ 05/18/2003 3:23 AM EDT

anyone remember the episode of parker louis can’t lose where the cops busted up their party and the RAID bug did his thang?

Ghosted by damn i need sleep @ 05/18/2003 6:43 AM EDT

why does the glo-bug look so unnaturaly smug with itself

i also hate marmosets!

Ghosted by dave esoog @ 05/18/2003 7:45 AM EDT

Why is Wile E. Coyote so nervous around that Bee? I think there’s more going on in that pic then the Bee offering cereal that we don’t know about.

Ghosted by GM @ 05/18/2003 9:58 AM EDT

Yeah, kid, I like Crunch bars too, but it’s not as though you’re in the [naked] Twister commercial.

So many thoughts going through my head: Legos! Legos! Legos!; Oo, california raisins! Mmm, raisins… ; I can’t wait ’til my cousin gets beyond choking-hazard age so I can buy her the Potato Head dynasty; Ziploc thumb, how did you not get smudged when you closed the bags? And did they reject you for the singing toes car commercial? Hard luck, Ziploc digit — I guess you just weren’t born to be alive; stupid fucking Ring Pop pacifiers; RAAAAAAAYEEED!; Mmm, Fruity Pebbles and Coco Pebbles; Cabbage Patch Twins my ass — what a racket; meh — it’s no hungry hungry hippo.

Anyway, happy long weekend y’all. :D

Ghosted by Molten @ 05/18/2003 10:04 AM EDT

Man, what in the hell were they thinking in the 80’s? I remember alot of those commercials, and yeah, I have to agree, that kid in the nestle’s crunch pic scares the shit outta me too! Looks like he may try to eat my freakin’ brains or somethin’! I barely remember when people were literally killing themselves to get their hands on a cabbage patch doll, and they used to cost a shitload of money. Jeez, those were the "good old days", or somethin’ like that :p

Ghosted by GraphArtist @ 05/18/2003 10:27 AM EDT

man those Constructicons would really hit the spot right about now; taking ‘em to work, forming Devastator, damn…
Wondering if lime green and purple construction equipment would look as cool in real life

Ghosted by Krappy Kat @ 05/18/2003 12:00 PM EDT

Green and purple wasn’t a very good diguise.

Ghosted by uklyfk @ 05/18/2003 1:41 PM EDT

hey, wasnt that stupid encyclopedia guy posted up here somewhere too? I know you guys remember that one. he ruined just about every evening of Double Dare and You Cant Do That On Television with his twenty hour long commercials talking to that imaginary guy with the deep voice. anyway, I remember all these commercials!

Ghosted by miss @ 05/18/2003 2:15 PM EDT

hey guys sorry for inquiring about that stupid encyclopedia commercial, i found it right on the main page….maybe I just have a thing for that guy.

Ghosted by miss @ 05/18/2003 2:23 PM EDT

i like a lot of commercials a lot thank you

Ghosted by jeremysimsports @ 05/18/2003 2:25 PM EDT

Now I have the Mr. Potato Head Family jingle stuck in my head.

Dino Pebbles? How did I manage to forget about them?
.. and that Crunch kid will be a source of many a nightmare to come. :p

Ghosted by Lynx @ 05/18/2003 3:24 PM EDT

yea i always thought it was funny they ‘robots in disguise’ but then they’ll have somethin like a shark flying thru the air, as if that’s inconspicous.

i guess i should remember these commercials but i really don’t remember any of them, i remember the toys tho.

i’m feelin the ghostbusters ad i used 2 dig that cartoon, never had the toys tho.

whatever happened to rude dog and the dweebs.

Ghosted by photocdclub.com @ 05/18/2003 3:29 PM EDT

Eeeep! X-MEN!!! Nicetty nice X-Men! Screw Hugh Jackman…I wanna see some yellow spandex. And I don’t care who plays Rogue, as long as she’s clad in yellow and green spandex. Or white and green. Whatever. Pretty action figures…pretty pretty pretty…….

Ghosted by Otaku Queen @ 05/18/2003 3:29 PM EDT

o/~ I’m the Master Rapper and I’m here to say: I love Fruity Pebbles in a major way! o/~

I remember that commercial for Ghostbusters toys. Some kid saying something about some meter detecting a class 3 ghost. Yikes. Why do I remember that? What kind of meter was it? EKG? I really hate my brain and what this site makes it remember. Damn you, Matt!

Ghosted by ChaosMonkey @ 05/18/2003 3:56 PM EDT

Hey matt! When are you gonna get around to doing the He-Man Happy Meal article?

Ghosted by Onslaught Six @ 05/18/2003 6:28 PM EDT

Hey, I don’t remember any of these commercials! I’m either too young or forgetful, more likely the former.

Ghosted by Paul @ 05/18/2003 7:42 PM EDT

I was wondering how long it would take to see the Ziploc finger dude on the Internet. I used to have stickers with that guy on them; they were in a box of Ziploc bags of course.

Ghosted by JG! @ 05/18/2003 7:42 PM EDT

I loooooved those finger-man commercials, I still have the pogs he was on somewhere. I also noticed that alot of those commercials are early 90’s instead of 80’s only. That makes me very happy.

Ghosted by CalmingEffect @ 05/18/2003 8:09 PM EDT

80’s commercials ruled; damn kids today just don’t seem to get nearly as much mileage out of cereal or chewing gum with "2 Flavors in 1!"

Ghosted by Krappy Kat @ 05/18/2003 8:12 PM EDT

My girlfriend hurt herself on the happy meal Panthor. She laid down on it and scratched her back really badly.

Should we sue?

Ghosted by Rosy @ 05/18/2003 9:46 PM EDT

Holy crap on a stick, I remember all that! Where’s the CRISPY CRITTERS cereal? OMG!

Thank you for making me feel old again. ;_;

Ghosted by Tron @ 05/18/2003 10:02 PM EDT

Oh man ,seeing those photos makes me dizzy. I really dig (not Dig ‘um) the fact that you have a video section, but where can I download the vids in the pictures not in the gallery?

Ghosted by Jazz Guy @ 05/18/2003 11:34 PM EDT

Commercials are a funny thing. Isn’t it weird how some commercials are just timeless (like the Indian crying at littering) and some disappear after the hype is gone (WAAAAASUP? guys, i’m looking in your direction)

Ghosted by Psychic Lemur @ 05/18/2003 11:38 PM EDT

my is that ever one provocative twister ad.

Ghosted by evin @ 05/19/2003 12:04 PM EDT

Hehe, crocodile dentist, one of the many croc/gator-themed toys of the last twenty years. I think it paled in comparison to Gator Golf, and comes nowhere near Crocodile Mile, the water slide that helped you achieve your lifetime goal of injuring your kiddie sternum. Sectaurs were cool too; the villain Skulk action figure was my favorite. BTW Matt, you a fan of those wacky Powerlords toys at all? They had some pretty badass figures.

Ghosted by malevolent taco sans zoo key @ 05/19/2003 1:37 AM EDT

Heh, does anyone remember the ol "Bucket o’ Fun" Mr. Potato head jingle?

"Mr. Potato-head, and his bucket-o-fun … buckets-o-fun … for everyone!"

Dude, I really need to get out more.

BTW: First time I ever posted, but I’ve been a longtime fan of your site, Matt! Keep up the great job.

In Hulk style:

crunch kid like Ellen Degeneres big eyes big teeth smash. eric bana in new movie, go by with green backs. hulk have green back, but no green backs. crunch kid probably just got sort of sex favor.

Uber-yay, Constructicons! Yay, old-school X-Men! Hooray Sectaurs! Boo scary Crunch commercial kid! He scared me. I must kill him, for Matt and X-E! I’m off!

Ghosted by Bansheex @ 05/20/2003 4:23 PM EDT

I am unsure how I linked here, but it was something to do with that maniac SeanBaby and his damned Super Friends page. Hemans Grayskull Castle! Glow Worms! Dream Glow Barbie! Barbie looks a lot different with all of her clothes on. I had forgotten about all of those. Keep up the nostalgic good work!

I think I have been collecting kool-aid points for too long because I have some that look like that in the picture! Eagle chips! I forgot about those my dad was upset when they took them off the market in the mid 90s. Ring pops I remember that old song "it’s a juicy jewel of flavor, ring pop it’s a lollypop without a stick" and that dumb girl in the commerical would look all supried to see the ring pop in the box. She would probaly say "hey! where’s the REAL ring!" The cpk twins I really remember because my cousin got those for christmas and my aunt hid them at my house. The raid one was funny too. I’d yell "raid!" to my grandma she thought it was so funny. I think I was 4 at the time. Dino pebbels I remember b/c my mom had those in an old magazine ad. The X-men my neighbors had those toys. Wolverene’s claws popped out!
