Working on a new article - might be a little too much for me to get done today, and I'll be away most of tomorrow, so expect it on Sunday. Or Monday! Either or, it's been a slow week. I've spent most of it romanticizing the idea of living in a secret, subterranean lair where life consists of eating Chips Ahoy and nothing else whatsoever. I seem to think about this too often; maybe it'd indicative of a larger problem. Looks like I'm off to Atlantic City this weekend, to gamble my savings away in a blaze of glory and overpriced tequila shots. I know I'll come home with nothing, but the trip is a necessary evil. If I don't recharge my batteries soon, my head will explode. Literally, it'll happen. Head explosions. Not the sexy kind.
I'm also a little frustrated this week since I'm waiting on some info about a few freelance jobs I'm real interested in. The frustration part is in the wait - the job itself sounds terrific, but I've got no idea how legitimate my chances are until some mystery person tells me so. Don't get me wrong, I adore doing the site. I'm just not a big fan of the Internet at large, and I'd love to sink my teeth into something else just to break the monotony a bit. No, I'm not going anywhere. Not until somebody offers me a whole lot of money to write about Play-Doh and Siamese Fighting Fish elsewhere. Looks like I'll be doing the site till I'm 64. 65? I retire at 65, shizza bang bong floom zoom.
Anyway, next week should be a good one. I'm gonna try to find a story in AC, which might be tough since we've already taken two X-E trips there in the past. Still, the hotel we're staying at this time is a total shithole. We just wanted someplace cheap that wouldn't complain about the noise level, and I think we got it. Rumor has it that the place is a haven for the local prostitutes. I hope they don't mind posing for the camera.
Other than that, there's a bunch of stuff in store for next Mon-Fri. The first article is already laid out, but beyond that, I just got a buncha old stuff in to give you more firsthand reviews. The Pac-Man board game, Presto Magix, and a movie starring a giant heroic turtle. Should be fun. Have a good weekend. Real good. Super. Have a super weekend.
