Working on a new article - might be a little too much for me to get done today, and I'll be away most of tomorrow, so expect it on Sunday. Or Monday! Either or, it's been a slow week. I've spent most of it romanticizing the idea of living in a secret, subterranean lair where life consists of eating Chips Ahoy and nothing else whatsoever. I seem to think about this too often; maybe it'd indicative of a larger problem. Looks like I'm off to Atlantic City this weekend, to gamble my savings away in a blaze of glory and overpriced tequila shots. I know I'll come home with nothing, but the trip is a necessary evil. If I don't recharge my batteries soon, my head will explode. Literally, it'll happen. Head explosions. Not the sexy kind.

I'm also a little frustrated this week since I'm waiting on some info about a few freelance jobs I'm real interested in. The frustration part is in the wait - the job itself sounds terrific, but I've got no idea how legitimate my chances are until some mystery person tells me so. Don't get me wrong, I adore doing the site. I'm just not a big fan of the Internet at large, and I'd love to sink my teeth into something else just to break the monotony a bit. No, I'm not going anywhere. Not until somebody offers me a whole lot of money to write about Play-Doh and Siamese Fighting Fish elsewhere. Looks like I'll be doing the site till I'm 64. 65? I retire at 65, shizza bang bong floom zoom.

Anyway, next week should be a good one. I'm gonna try to find a story in AC, which might be tough since we've already taken two X-E trips there in the past. Still, the hotel we're staying at this time is a total shithole. We just wanted someplace cheap that wouldn't complain about the noise level, and I think we got it. Rumor has it that the place is a haven for the local prostitutes. I hope they don't mind posing for the camera.

Other than that, there's a bunch of stuff in store for next Mon-Fri. The first article is already laid out, but beyond that, I just got a buncha old stuff in to give you more firsthand reviews. The Pac-Man board game, Presto Magix, and a movie starring a giant heroic turtle. Should be fun. Have a good weekend. Real good. Super. Have a super weekend.

Have fun, Matt! Stay away from the blackjack tables. And the hookers.

Good luck at the casino. My parents always used to sound like that before they went, but once in a blue moon one of ‘em would hit big for like $5,000 or more on one machine.

DID YOU SAY THE PAC MAN BOARD GAME?!? I loved that game! My very old fashioned, very french grandmother had it, and when my sister and I were little, we’d go to Grandmere’s and play the pac man game for HOURS. I heart you, man!

Have a good time in Atlantic City =)

I’m glad you’re trying out some freelance stuff, Matt. You’re way too talented a writer not to be getting paid for it, all my XE-reading friends think so.
Be careful in the casinos! One time I played this nintendo game- er, rom-called Casino Kid, and it was so boring that in less than ten minutes I was trying to edit the clothes off the the pixel-licious in-game women. That’s the closest I’ve ever gotten to a real casino (or a woman… *sniff*).
No, I’m just kidding. I wouldn’t want to ruin my XE rep. Cause you know, I’m sure I have one O_O
